Let's Go Camping ~ #GDP298

It's another day of triple digit heat, so that means another afternoon of stamping for this momma!

Today's card was inspired by this weeks Global Design Project Sketch Challenge!

As we prepare to head out for a weekend of camping, this sketch inspired me to ink up Campology once again for a special birthday card.  The trees were perfect for the background of the sketch!

I added a strip of wood-grain DSP from the In Good Taste DSP and a fussy cut heat embossed sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays.  And because I love the lantern so much, I just had to add it!
I added an extra layer of Misty Moonlight Birch (background stamp) and roughed up a corner a little bit.  I love what this adds to a card!
We are packing up and getting ready to head out for a camping trip over the holiday weekend.  I am excited to escape the heat and spend some time by the lake!

Have a great day and, as always, happy stamping!

Polished Pink Plants ~ #HSSIC367

Welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge!  When it's 110+ degrees out, there's not much else to do but stamp!

This weeks challenge is full of so many beautiful images and possibilities.  Of course I was inspired by the pretty little succulents, but also by the beautiful marbled background.

I started things off by creating the Polished Pink watercolor background on Shimmery White card and added a few Pale Papaya splatters for good measure.
Next up were the adorable macrame plant hangers, which I added some Smoky Slate pots to.  Then came the fun part...planting the succulents!
I used the spiky plant die from Perfect Plants dies, then added some string of pearls from the Potted Succulents dies.
See those little bits of Soft Succulent plants peaking from behind the Polished Pink plant?  Those came from the ends of the macrame hanger!  I die cut the little tassel at the end, snipped off what I needed and tucked it in the pot.  I love finding alternative uses for our products!

Lastly, I added some Gold Metallic Pearls to completed the beaded macrame look!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are staying cool if you are in parts of the world that are heating up right now.

Happy Stamping!

Whale Wishes ~ Monday Montage

Hello stampers and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Be sure to make your way all the way through so you don't miss a single amazing project from these amazing stampers!

I am officially on summer break for the next 7 weeks which means a LOT more stamping time!  And since we are in the middle of a MAJOR heat wave, I'm locking myself in my cool stamping room and staying out of the heat!

I decided to make a splash into summer by pulling out the adorable Whale Done stamp set to create a couple cute cards.
First up is a card I created from one of this months Crafty Carrot Collective tutorials, which included a fun sketch.  I always love a great sketch to get me started!
I created the background with some Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush, adding a few Pool Party bubbles here and there.  The Mossy Meadow seaweed and Calypso Coral coral came next, along with a little school of (stamped off) Calypso Coral fish.  The happy little whale was stamped in Pacific Point and punched out with the coordinating Whale punch.  The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on Crumb Cake and it was all wrapped up with a Linen Thread bow.  Sweet and simple...my favorite!
I broke out some of the retired Whale of a Time DSP from my stash for my next card.  This DSP was far too cute for me to part with and came in perfect for a 2nd birthday card for a special little buddy of ours.  Freshly Made Sketches was my source of inspiration for this card.

This under the sea pattern of DSP was just what the sweet little whale needed, along with a few little fishies as well!  Again, I used the Whale punch, but used all of the bits and pieces to build a whale this time. Biggest Wish helped to create a fun Happy Birthday greeting!

I was able to kick off my summer break this past weekend with our very own Wendy and Cheryl.  We met up in Idaho and packed a whole lot of fun into just one day.  I was supposed to stay longer, but one of my boys happened to have a wrestling camp in the very same, middle of nowhere, teeny-tiny town and needed a ride home after the camp.  Had I not had to worry about bringing home 3 additional kiddos, I would have been able to stay longer...momma guilt always gets the best of me and I can't say no.  But don't worry, plans will be made soon for us to meet up again.  We've gotten pretty good at making sure we meet up several times a year and I am forever grateful for that!

Farm Fresh Peaches ~ #TGIFC322 Designer Take Over

Hello stampers and welcome to an all new TGIF ChallengesOur friend Andrea of One Stampin' Mother Trucker is taking over this week with a fun Farmhouse Chic theme.  This challenge is so Andrea!
I love some farmhouse shiplap and would have it in every room of my house if my husband would allow!  It was fun to create a shiplap background using strips of Basic White and adhering them to a piece of Smoky Slate.  Such a quick and easy technique that could be used for SO MANY projects!
What else says farmhouse chic'?  Gingham, of course!  A little die cut circle peeking out from behind the Sweet as a Peach peaches was the perfect added touch!
I die cut FARM FRESH using the Playful Alphabet dies, then arranged them using my magnetic plate and Layering Circle dies on my shiplap layer.  This was an easy way to create a guide without having to leave any pencil marks behind!

Wondering where the word PEACHES came from?  This is why I love photoployer stamp sets! I stamped the Sweet as a Peach sentiment once, then inked it up again and used my Blending Pen to remove all but one E.  I lined the E up, then inked the sentiment up again to add the S from Sweet to complete the word PEACHES.  Possibilities are endless with photopoloyer stamps!

I'm off to spend the day with some of my favorite stampin' friends, Wendy and Cheryl, in the cute little farm town, Garden Valley Idaho.  We have plans to keep cool with a river float, followed by a fun night at an outdoor amphitheater to see Mary Poppins.   I'm hoping we can sneak in a little stamp time too!

Happy Stamping!

A Dash of Kindness, A Spoonful of Love

Hi friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I am wrapping up my last few days of work this week and then I am off for 7 glorious weeks....I CAN'T WAIT!  My kiddos are already on their break, which means my mornings are a little less chaotic, which means more stamping time for me...YAY!

I've had the adorable What's Cookin' stamp set sitting on my desk for a while and this morning I finally got around to inking it up. I am a sucker for brightly colored cooking gadgets, so of course I had to ink these adorable images up in some of my favorite Brights colors.

I love the woodgrain cutting board included in the coordinating dies.  (Now we just need some mini charcuterie foods to add to the board!)  For now, I'll pair it up with a fun farmhouse mixing bowl and all of the necessary tools.

This sentiment is just the sweetest.  After stamping it and adding a few Coastal Cabana splatters, it still felt like it needed a little more.  I looked through all of my stamps for a little heart to stamp, but couldn't find anything that would work.  Then I pulled out the catalog in search of dies that included some itty bitty hearts and came across the Pets dies.  The little paw prints had the sweetest little hearts that were the perfect addition!

I can't wait to play more with this stamp set.  I have so many fun ideas floating around in my head!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

New Catalog Love ~ Control Freaks June 2021

The new Annual Catalog has been live for a little over a month now and the Control Freaks crew is ready to share some of our favorites!
You may have made your way here from our friend Melissa AKA The Stamp Doc or you might just be starting the hop...either way, keep on going until you make your way through!  You won't want to miss a single thing!
Summer is officially here and I am oh-so-ready!  Today's cards are inspired by summer-fun colors!

I am a sucker for fun fonts, so you can guarantee that Biggest Wish caught my eye right away!  The big block fonts with the scripty fonts is SO GOOD!  I paired this fun new stamp set up with the returning Sweet Ice Cream to create a yummy Hello Summer card.
I stamped the blocky HELLO in Pool Party (stamped off), then added a rainbow of tasty popsicles.  A scripty black hello and some bold die cut SUMMER letters helped to make the perfect card to kick off summer!  A little splash of bling is always a good thing too!
Sticking with the same summer-fun color combo, I inked up the adorable Turtle Friends stamp set, which I also paired up with Biggest Wish.
This little turtle and all of his friends are just the cutest!  The photopolymer stamp set made adding the party hat and little bird a breeze.  And as you can see, I made good use of some of my paper scraps.  Such a quick and fun way to add some more color to any creation!

I'm so glad to have you hop along with us!  Next up is our other friend Melissa of Rubber Funatics!

Plentiful Friendship

What a day!!  Tomorrow is the last day of school and all of the craziness is hitting!  I could not wait to get home and unwind in my craft room.  This weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch was just what I needed to clear my mind and shake off the stress.

Bloom Where You're Planted Suite continues to be my most favorite!  Plants and crafting...two of my favorite things all wrapped up in one fabulous suite!

I created a fun framed look with the Stitch Rectangle Frames and the beautiful Macrame 3D embossing folder.  And that white brick DSP pattern...swoon!

The Paper Lattice was the perfect addition to go along with the sketch and the potted plants worked well for the circle.  The sweet sentiment was die cut with the Stitch Rectangles as well.  I love the pop of color from the Pacific Point pots.  All of my plants at home are potted in white pots, but I might need to switch some of them out for some bright, colorful ones!

I absolutely love the beautiful texture from the Macrame 3D embossing folder!

I also love that I can craft away my stress after a crazy day!  I just need to make it through tomorrow and my final 4 contract days next week will be a breeze.  Then it's on to summer break!  BRING IT ON!

Happy Stamping!

Dandy Garden Sunflower

Hi friends and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  This week we have a summer-fun color challenge for you to play along with!

I am all about flowers this time of year and immediately thought of Celebrate Sunflowers.  It's been a while since I've used this stamp set and it's coordinating Sunflowers Dies, so I was happy to pull it out.  I was even more happy to pair it up with the cheerful Dandy Garden DSP!

I love it when a die-cut image can make the entire card!  Only the sweet and simple sentiment was stamped.  The rest is just some pretty paper, some fun gingham ribbon and a little bit of bling.

I love to mix patterns, which you can clearly tell by this card.  Is it too much?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you will join along and share your summer-fun colorful creation with us!

Happy Stamping!

Peachy Birthday Wishes ~ #TGIFC320

Hi friends!  We are wrapping up another week and that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges for you to play along with!
This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge...my favorite!  I always love a good sketch to help get my creative juices flowing.
Speaking of juices...how about some yummy, juicy peaches?!?!  The Sweet as a Peach bundle is another Annual Catalog favorite.  I love the soft watercolor images in both the stamp set and DSP.  The 3 juicy peaches were perfect for this weeks sketch!
Each peach was stamped in Pale Papaya then sponged with a little bit of Calypso Coral for that perfect summer peach color.  The little leaves were stamped and sponged in shades of Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive and a few Petal Pink flowers were added for good measure.
I mixed two of my favorite You're a Peach DSP patterns to go along with the sketch.  If you don't have this paper yet, you're going to want to add it to your list!  It is GORGEOUS!
The Clear Epoxy Droplets were the finishing touch for this peachy birthday wish!

Our schools have one more week of school left.  Staff and students are all SO READY for summer break.  What a year it has been!  I am looking forward to a bit more stamping time and a lot less stress for a few weeks!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and find time to join along in our TGIF Challenges fun!

Sweet Farewell Adventures

It's graduation season, which means the time has come for some kiddos to spread their wings and leave the nest.  Our family is still a few years away from this, but my heart already hurts for that day.
Y'all know how much I love to color with my Stampin' Blends, so Sweet Farewell caught my eye right away!  This is such fun stamp set and perfect for creating some graduation cards!
I stamped the adorable paper airplanes in VersaMark and heat embossed them in white, then added a Pool Party watercolor wash.  This is always such a fun way to create a background, especially when you use the Shimmery White cardstock.

I love the suitcase and camera images...and they were so fun to color!  I went for bright and bold shades of Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Night of Navy and Real Red.  After adding some color to these cute images, I set to work fussy cutting them out.   Coloring and fussy cutting...these are a few of my favorite things!
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy on a piece of Basic White, then stamped it again in Real Red and cut the little banner out to overlay the Night of Navy.  So much fun!  The entire sentiment was die cut using my favorite Tasteful Labels dies.  I seriously hope these dies NEVER retire!

Sending hugs to all the parents out there who soon be sending their kiddos out on their own...you've got this! We are blessed to be taking in a kiddo later this summer as he steps out on his own and heads here for college.  It will be a new adventure for our family and we are all pretty excited about it!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Stamping!

A Miracle Worth Waiting For ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Don't miss out on a single creation along the way....these ladies are amazing!

Some very special friends of ours will be welcoming a sweet baby girl into the world in just a few short weeks.  The momma-and-daddy-to-be were showered with love this past weekend, which, of course, called for a cute card!

My inspiration for this card came from the baby shower invitation.  These warm, calming colors were so much fun to use the with new Watercolor Shapes stamp set. I inked up the shapes in shades of Petal Pink, Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider and Merry Merlot, randomly stamping them in no particular pattern.

Each of the adorable sentiments were heat embossed on coordinating card stock using the One Happy Family set.  If you don't have this sentiment stamp set yet, it is a MUST HAVE!  There are so many great sentiments!  I love "you made a little human".  This sentiment couldn't be more perfect for our friends!

After layering everything, it felt like something was missing...embellishments, of course!  Elegant Faceted Gems were the perfect final touch!

We are all so excited for their little princess to make her way into world!  We are counting down the days until we all get to meet her.

Thank you for stopping by today!  On to the next stop!

Happy Stamping!

Hats off Birthday ~ #HSSSC365

Hello friends and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!
I had a lot of fun creating two different cards with this sketch!  It was fun flipping it on it's side to create a whole different look!
It's birthday season around here!  My youngest always seems to be invited to so many birthday parties this time of year, so I always try to be stocked up on birthday cards.  Hats Off is by far my most loved and used set from the new catalog so far!  I love how it works for any occasion and for anyone!

I love the hat stamped and die cut in Polished Pink, especially with some other summery fun blocks of color!  This card has a definite beach vibe!
Next up are some bold primary colors for a #1 Happy Birthday wish!  Anyone else think of Forrest Gump seeing this hat in Poppy Parade?  I love it!
My stash of birthday cards is looking pretty good after adding these two to the mix! I love this bundle and you can be certain that this won't be the last card I create with it.  The possibilities are endless!

I hope you will join in the fun and play along with us this week!

Happy Stamping!
