Rain or Shine

...or should I say SNOW or shine?!?  We are on day 3 of snow, snow, snow!  Thankfully we are all still on winter break and if the weather man is correct, warmer temps are on the way at the beginning of next week.  Hopefully this means no school closures due to snow...fingers crossed!

While it continues to dump snow, I'm dreaming of spring flowers!

If you love flowers and gardening as much as I do, you'll want to add the the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle to your January-June 2022 Mini Catalog wish list.  Only a few more days and this catalog will be live and ready for you to shop!

While you wait, I'll share this cheerful little card!  With the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set, I stamped a few of the flower pots in Misty Moonlight, filling them with Blushing Bride Tulips and So Saffron daisies.  The watering can was stamped in Smoky Slate and the cute little seed packet was stamped in Mint Macaron.  All of these bits and pieces were all die cut with the coordinating Rain Boots Dies.

These Mint Macaron stripes from the Hand-Penned DSP went along beautifully with all of the stamped and die-cut images.   The DSP and a panel of Basic White were cut out with the Stitched Rectangles for just the right amount of texture.  The raindrops from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials embellishments were the perfect final touch!

Oh, and I can't forget the heat embossed and fussy cut sentiment.  Is this becoming my signature piece for every card I make?!?!

I've finished putting away all of my Christmas decorations, cleaned the house and shoveled snow several times...I think I deserve some more stamping time!

Happy Stamping friends!

Driving By To Say Thanks

Hello stampers and happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours was pretty quiet, which was really nice!

I still have this week off for Winter Break and have been enjoying some time in my craft room.  I've been on a mission to get all of my Christmas thank you cards made and hopefully sent out before the New Year.

Driving By is an adorable new stamp set available for FREE during the January-February 2022 Sale-A-Bration!  This is one you are going to want to earn for sure!

I colored the cute little bug in Real Red, along with the packages as well.  Some Granny Apple Green was added in to go along with the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP peeking out of the Picture This Dies.

I heat embossed a couple different sentiments from the stamp set on Basic Black, fussy cutting them out for the perfect sentiment for this card.

A few Matte Decorative Dots were added and this card was complete!  It was super easy and fun to replicate too.

My goal is to create at least one card every day this week...fingers crossed it actually happens!

Happy Stamping!

Artistically Thankful ~ #TGIFC348

Merry Christmas Eve stampers!  Ready or not, Christmas is almost here!

The TGIF Challenges Design Team is also here with an all new challenge for you.  It's time to mask up...with the masking technique!

Thank You cards are always a good thing to have on hand this time of year, right?  I inked up an Annual Catalog favorite...Artistically Inked.

I masked off the center of the card, stamping the Night of Navy blooms on either side.  I also stamped the large bloom then fussy cut it out to use as a mask for the Granny Apple Green leaves and the smaller Costal Cabana Blooms.  Such a fun technique.  Oh, and I can't forget the Calypso Coral dots...just the right amount of color!

I stamped the Thanks sentiment on Night of Navy and heat embossed it in white. I love this font!  There was a bit too much blank space, so I added a strip of Coastal Cabana behind the Night of Navy.  But it still needed something...Metallic Mesh Ribbon was just what it needed!

A little bit of white twine and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were the perfect final touches.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Stamping!

Just a Note of Cactus Cuties ~ Monday Montage

Hello stampers and welcome to the last Monday Montage Blog Hop of 2021! We'll be taking a little break after today's hop to enjoy some holiday time with family and friends.  We'll be back again in January with more creative projects to share with you!

I think I've about wrapped up my Christmas cards and am finally diving in to my box of January-June 2022 Mini Catalog pre-order goodies.  If you know me, you know that in addition to stamps and paper crafting, I have a serious plant addiction.   So of course, as soon as I saw the adorable Cactus Cuties Bundle, I HAD to have it!

But guess who managed to order only the stamp set and forgot the punch?!?!  Yep...this girl, right here!  It's a good think I love to fussy cut!

I stamped these cute little cacti in shades of Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Evening Evergreen.  They were placed in pots in shades of Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Cinnamon Cider.  A cute little Polished Pink flower was added for good measure.

I pulled out a fun Pattern Party DSP black and white pattern, with a little pop of Polished Pink peeking from behind and layered everything up on a good ol' Basic Black card base.  A heat embossed sentiment and a few Artistry Blooms sequins finished the card off.  Don't you just love these Cactus Cuties?!?!

This card was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches.  I love this sketch and will be using it again for sure!

Shiny Magical Christmas Moments ~ Control Freaks Blog Hop December 2021

Welcome to our last Control Freaks blog hop of 2021!  We are ending the year on a shiny note...bring you all things sparkly and shiny!  You may just be starting or you may have arrived from the talented Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics...either way, keep on hopping until you've seen them all!

What do I love the most about the Whimsy & Wonder DSP?!?  All the bits of sparkle and shine, of course!  This paper is so beautiful!  Today's card just about wraps up my Christmas creations for 2021...I think!

I started out by blending little Mint Macaron on a piece of Basic White and added a little splatter of snow with the cute polkadot tree stamp from the Whimsical Trees stamp set.
I die cut the largest tree from the Mint Macaron pattern of DSP then added some stitched shimmery Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum (say that three times fast!) for a little extra sparkle.

A few pretty little presents were fussy cut and added with just a bit of the Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon peaking out from behind.  I simply unraveled a small section of the ribbon to create a fun and whimsical twine!

When you're creating a card that's supposed to be full of sparkle and shine, you have to add a few shimmery vellum stars too.

And to make this card even MORE shiny, I used the silver and white DSP pattern for the card base.

Next up on the hop is my stamping BFF Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations!

Thanks for hopping along with us this year!  We can't wait to share more creations with you in the New Year!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Gingerbread Christmas Wishes ~ #HSSIC379

Hi stampers!  Welcome to the last Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge of 2021.  We'll be taking the rest of the month off to enjoy time with family and friends, but we'll be back in January with all new challenges!

We're ending the year with an Inspiration Challenge.  I love all of these inspiring images and can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I was drawn to the cute hanging gingerbread ornaments and quickly pulled out the adorable Gingerbread & Peppermint 6"x6" DSP.  I only bought the paper from this suite, but with all of the cute images in this little pack of paper, you can make do without anything else!

I fussy cut a few of the tiny gingerbread images and hung them like ornaments.  Aren't they the cutest?  Some Gingerbread & Peppermint patterns were added in the background and a bright Real Red card base held it all together.

I used Christmas to Remember and Words of cheer, along with the Christmas Cheer dies to create a very HAPPY Christmas greeting!  And what's a Christmas card without some Real Red Rhinestones?!?!

I hope you'll join in the fun and play along with us!

Happy Stamping!

Merry and Bright Christmas ~ #TGIFC346

Happy Friday stampers!

Welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  I always love a fun sketch to get me started.

I kind of feel like I cheated with these cards because they came together so quickly.  But isn't that the purpose of some of the adorable kits Stampin' Up! designs?

I was so excited when the Love, Santa tag kit was finally released.  I love the bright and cheerful images and all of the sentiment fonts are so good!

I quickly turned a couple of the tags in to focal points for some quick and easy Christmas cards.  I paired this cheerful Christmas Tree up with the Mint Macaron design from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.  Two quick sentiment stamps, a little bow and a few embellishments and this card was done!

Raise your hand if this oh-so-cute yellow car with packages stacked oh-so-high is your favorite tag in this kit.  There is just so much happiness!  This time I paired the tag up with the Misty Moonlight pattern from Whimsy & Wonder DSP.  Another quick sentiment was stamped and another bow and a few more embellishments and card #2 was done!

I still have two more tags from this kit to turn into cards, which I plan to do this weekend!  Even though I kind of feel like I cheated with these cards, I am so grateful for how quickly they came together.  I just accepted a new position with our local school district and am trying to wrap up all of the loose ends in my current position before winter break starts.  It's been super busy, so I appreciate anything that comes together without a lot of fuss right now!

I hope you'll join us this week and share your take on the sketch.  We always love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

Freshly Made Sweet Conversations

Hello stampin' friends!

I'm taking a little break from Christmas creating to {finally} give some love to my January-June Mini Catalog preorder items!  I am a sucker for ALL things Valentine's, so the Sweet Talk Suite was a must have for me!  These little conversation hearts are the cutest!
This card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge as well as the sample card on page 10 of the JJ mini.  I loved matching these cute little hearts up with the stripes on the Sweet Talk DSP.
Anyone else absolutely LOVE it when you can let the DSP do the talking...and this DSP really does do the talking with all of the adorable conversation heart messages.   The ONLY stamping on this card is the sweet and simple Happy Valentine's Day, stamped in Real Red.  And y'all know I can't have a card without some sort of bling!  The Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are so pretty and another must have!
I struggle to use a big piece of DSP to cover a card base, but this Petal Pink and Real Red pattern is just too cute NOT to use.  I'll just have to be sure to snag another pack of this DPS soon...because the fear of running out is real for this paper  hoarder collector!

I can't wait to create more projects with this adorable suite!  It will be available to customers January 4, 2022!

Happy Stamping!

Silver and Gold Christmas

Hi friends and welcome to another fabulous Monday Montage blog Hop! Make sure you don't miss a single stop along the way...this hop is packed full of amazing projects!

I can't believe the weekend is over and we're back to Monday again.  The weekends go by way too fast, especially during the holiday season.  I have a box full of new pre-order stamping products sitting on my desk, but after a weekend full of Christmas celebrations, I'm not quite ready to be done with my Christmas creations.

I just recently added the Poinsettia dies to my collection and decided I better put them to use before it's too late!  I cut flowers in all sizes and layered them to create a full, beautiful Very Vanilla bloom.  The leaves were cut from Gold & Rose Metallic Specialty Paper...in gold.  A few sprigs of Balmy Blue were tucked in and some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was looped in for the perfect amount of texture.

A few gold Metallic Pearls dressed up the center of the Poinsettia and a few splatters of gold from the soon to be release Daffodil Daydream stamp set were the perfect addition.
A bold Merry Christmas sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set was heat embossed in white on Basic Black then fussy cut for the perfect placement.

Are you singing the song Silver and Gold from the Rudolph movie now?  The song has been stuck in my head since I started creating this card!   Now I want to watch the movie...one of my all time holiday favorites!

Next up on the hop is my friend Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us!
Or if you want to take a hop back, check out my stampin' BFF Wendy...you won't be disappointed!
Thanks for hopping along with us!

Cheerful Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday stampers!

The Words of Cheer bundle has been getting a lot of use the past few weeks.  I love how versatile this bundle is and that it can be used for more than just Christmas creations!

A dear friend celebrated her birthday over Thanksgiving weekend and I created this card for her husband to give to her.  I haven't made a ton of slimline cards, but after making this one I will certainly be making more!  A Night of Navy card base, a Bark embossed piece of Misty Moonlight and a little bit of Basic White peeking out created a beautiful card front to work with.

I stamped and die-cut the floral image twice, coloring it in shades of Petal Pink, Misty Moonlight, Soft Sea Foam and So Saffron.  I brushed the flowers with a little bit of Wink of Stella for the softest shimmer.
I die-cut Happy from a piece of Night of Navy and the Happy background die from a piece of Cork Speciality Paper.  I love the extra detail from the Cork Paper...so much so that I added a few Cork flowers.  I stamped one of the images from Happiest of Birthday's and cut the word Birthday out to add.  I wrapped it all up with a simple Linen Thread bow.

I'm not quite ready to put this beautiful bundle away yet, so be watching for another creation or two before the Christmas season is over.

Happy Stamping!
