Happy Birthday From All of Us!

I am not sure how it is possible, but my baby turns 9 today!  I'm pretty sure we were celebrating his first birthday just last year!

This is kind of that awkward age where he isn't in to the little kiddo stuff, but not quite into all of the tween/teen stuff either.  He is an animal lover, so I knew he would love these happy little critters from the adorable From All of Us stamp set.  I can't wait to see him decide which animal is each of our family members!
He's going to be even more surprised to see he gets this stamped set for his own collection, along with a fun little card kit I put together for him.  He got a new desk in his bedroom and is so happy to have his own creating space!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Bronze, Ivory
Stamp Set ~ From All of Us
Other Supplies ~ Playful Alphabet

I loved coloring all of these little critters and I know my son will too!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Peony Sympathy ~ #TGIFC274

Happy Friday friends!

We're getting scrappy over at TGIF Challenges...with our paper scraps!  I don't know about you, but I have more scraps than I know what to do with most days, so this was a great challenge to use some of them up!

I held a card class earlier this month and introduced the Peony Garden Suite.  We used a few different patterns of the Peony Garden DSP, which left me with several small scraps.  I happily put them to use to create a background for this beautiful 3D peony blossom.

I was a little intimidated by the Peony dies at first, but as soon as I cut all of the pieces out, I found that they were super easy to assemble to create a gorgeous flower.  I curled the edges up just a bit and sponged a little Petal Pink around the edges to add even more dimension.
I decided to use almost everything from this suite by adding a Dainty Diamonds 3D embossed piece of Whisper White, a little bit of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and a few little Elegant Faceted Gems.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Gray, Whisper White, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Peony Garden DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Petal Pink
Stamp Set ~ Prized Peony
Other Supplies ~ Elegant Faceted Gems, Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, Tasteful Labels Dies

Now it's your turn!  Let's see you put your pile of scraps to use and play along this week.

Happy Stamping!

Summer Night Adventures

Hello stampers!  I don't know about you, but my Monday absolutely flew by!  My hubby and ALL of my kiddos are gone until tomorrow night, so I have been keeping busy with some house painting projects.  Even though that has kept me busy, I have made sure to get in some stamping time as well!  This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge is simple, yet leaves lots of room to be as creative as you want!

My youngest son has become quite the stamper, so he was super excited when this months Paper Pumpkin kit arrived over the weekend.  We spent a little crafty time together before he left and I put together a fun little alternative project.
Thanks to this great kit, I only had to add a Calypso Coral card base and an extra strip of embossed Blackberry Bliss to complete the card!  My dear friend, Stephanie, took my youngest on a camping trip and to an amusement park this week.  The "Adventure Awaits" sentiment from Beautiful World stamp set paired up beautifully with the fun ferris wheel.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Summer Nights Paper
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Set ~ Beautiful World
Other Supplies ~ July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Summer Nights embellishments

Back to painting I go!  My goal is to get the kitchen all done today and put back together before my family comes home tomorrow.  Wish me luck!

I hope you will join us and play along with this great sketch!

It's Christmas in July ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

Christmas came early...in my craft room at least!  I received my August-December 2020 Mini Catalog pre-order this week and I couldn't wait to create!  I know we are still in the middle of summer and I am nowhere near ready for Christmas, but I am excited to start creating for Christmas.

As soon as I saw the Christmas Means More stamp set, I knew I had to have it!  The fonts of these sentiments are great and the sentiments are the BEST!  "Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little more" is my absolute favorite!  I paired this stamp set up with the Sweetest Boarders dies and 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper.  These all worked together beautifully!  Danity Diamonds 3D embossing folder wins again for this card...this EF can be used for ANY card!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, 'Tis the Season DSP
Ink ~ Tuxedo Black Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce
Stamp Set ~ Christmas Means More
Other Supplies ~ Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, Sweet Borders Dies

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

I {Freaking} Love Summer ~ Control Freaks Blog Hop

Welcome to the July edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop!  We are excited to share some Summer Lovin' fun with you this month!

You might just be starting the hop or you may have got here from the super creative Connie Babbert.  No matter where you start, make sure you make it all the way through...you don't want to miss a thing!

Summer is my all time favorite season!  Not only because I have time off with my boys, but because I am a sunshine-loving girl.  I love the warm, sunny weather and long summer days.

It's not summer around here if it doesn't involve watermelon. My boys would each sit down and eat an entire melon if I let them!  My first card was made with them in mind.  I used the fun new In Colors of Magenta Madness and Just Jade to create the watermelon and added a lemony splash of Daffodil Delight for a little extra color.  A friendly sentiment was stamped on Daffodil Delight and heat embossed in White Emboss Powder.  I wrapped it all up with some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon...I love this stuff!

This may be the first summer that I haven't been to the Oregon Coast in SEVERAL years!  I am missing the ocean air, but our trip to Utah was worth changing up our summer beach plans!  (Plus, I have a trip planned in November!)  Thank goodness I can create a relaxing day at the beach right in my craft room!
Seaside View was a must have stamp set for me.  I love both of the scenes in this set...total relaxation!  I inked up the adirondack image in Tuxedo Black Memento, then got to work with my Stampin' Blends. Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Mango Melody, Magenta Madness and Bermuda Bay were all used to create this relaxing scene.
A few palm trees were stamped on a woodgrain pattern of In Good Taste DSP, and layered on top of an Old World embossed piece of Pool Party.  The texture of this embossing folder reminds me of rippling ocean waters.
I finished the card off with the sentiment heat embossed in White Emboss Powder on Basic Black, which I fussy cut.

Have you enjoyed this summer fun?!?  Well, it's not over yet!  Hop on over to the next super creative Connie...Connie Tumm.  She has a great project in store for you!
Thank you for hopping with us!

Freshly Squeezed Thanks

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you have all had a fantastic week!
My hubby and older boys have been gone all week on a fishing trip, so it has been just me and my youngest, Owen.  We've stayed busy painting his bedroom, keeping up on house chores, taking a fun hike and of course, some stamping.  I love that Owen enjoys stamping just as much as I do!
He wanted to stamp something that we could color, so I pulled out the cute Simply Citrus stamp set.  We stamped and colored a few lemons, which I happily fussy cut out for both of us.
It was time to turn lemons into a card, so I turned to Freshly Made Sketches  and found the perfect sketch!  It always fun to create a square card!
This is probably one of my favorite color combos...Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight!  They are just so fun and cheerful!
I stamped the lemons using Tuxedo Black Memento, then colored them with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. The fun sunburst die from Tasteful Labels was absolutely perfect for the sentiment.
I added some texture using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, which reminded me of a lemon rind.  A bright and happy polkadot background in Granny Apple Green and a few bits of Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones finished things off.
Now to decide who to send this cheerful little card too...I know it will brighten someones day!

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Playful Birthday ~ #TGIFC272 Sketch Challenge

Oh goodness...here we are at Friday again!  Summer days always seem to fly by so fast!  I still have a little over 5 weeks left of my break, but I am already not looking forward to going back to work!  I love my job, but I also love having lots of extra creative time, especially when it comes to TGIF Challenges!
We have a great sketch for you to play along with this week!  I can't wait to see all of the creations!
Okay, does anyone else love the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper as much as I do?!?  There are some of my favorite colors and the patterns are the best!  I cut out the tag portion of the sketch using the Stitched Nested Labels.  These cute little polka dots reminded me of wrapping paper, so I wrapped them up in the Costal Cabana Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.
I added some detail to the background with the fun new Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.  Happy B-Day was cut out with the awesome new Playful Alphabet dies and the cute sentiment is from the coordinating Pattern Play stamp set.  Of course I had to add a few Playing with Patterns Resin Dots to finish the card off.  I'm gonna need more of those cuties!

Whether it's your birthday or not, I hope your Friday is filled with all your guilt pleasures!  Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Relaxing Inspiration ~ Hand Stamped Sentiments #343

Happy Tuesday stampers!  I hope your week has gotten off to a great start!
The Hand Stamped Sentiments Design Team has a beautiful inspiration challenge for you to play along with this week.  We can't wait to see what you are inspired to create!

We just recently returned from an amazing trip to Zion, which took the place of our normal summer beach trip.  I absoutely LOVED Zion, but there is a part of me longing for the ocean air!  I may not be making a trip to the beach this year, but I can create one in my craft room!
I inked up the relaxing image in Memento then colored my heart out with some of my favorite Stampin' Blend colors.  I added just a splash more of color with a piece of Coastal Cabana DSP from the Brights Collection.  I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the word "relax" from one sentiment, then added "take time for yourself" in Costal Cabana.  I was going to add a little bit of Linen Thread, but decided to stick with simple...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Brights Collection DSP
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Melon Mambo, Mango Melody,  Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Seaside View

I hope you are taking time to relax this summer.  We may not be going to the beach, but we are still getting lots of relaxing times in at home!

Happy Stamping!

A Flower for Every Season ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend!  Ours was pretty mellow and low key this year (thanks COVID!) but we all agreed that it was kind of nice.  I was all for mellow and low key after nursing a sick doggie all week.  Our sweet Holly dog developed some sort of GI issue early last week and her recovery has been a very slow and draining process.  I have a feeling we will be back at with the vet with her tomorrow because she is still not eating.  Say a little prayer for my sweet girl.
I started working on these cards last week in an effort to stay busy while I waited to hear back from the vet.  I was finally able to finished them up today, just in time for this weeks Monday Montage Blog Hop!
Inspired by the latest Fab Friday Challenge, I pulled out the cheerful Flowers for Every Season DSP.

I love me some sunflowers, so this pattern was a must use for me!  I paired Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set with this summery-fun DSP for a quick and easy celebration card.  I stamped the sunflower in Soft Suede, then added color with the Stampin' Blends...kind of like a no-line watercolor, but with the blends!
True to it's word, there REALLY is a flower for every season in the beautiful package of DSP!  The poinsettia's are so pretty and paired up perfect with the holly from Christmas Gleaming stamp set. Again, I stamped the holly in Sahara Sand, then added color with the Stampin' Blends.
The Just Jade Gingham Ribbon was used for the fun scalloped edge in the sketch.  This ribbon works for every season as well!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bumble Bee, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Flowers for Every Season
Ink ~ Poppy Parade, VersaMark, Soft Suede, Stampin' Blends: Daffodil Delight, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider, Poppy Parade
Stamp Sets ~ Celebrate Sunflowers, Christmas Gleaming
Other Supplies ~ Just Jade Gingham Ribbon, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!
