My boys wrapped up their baseball season this weekend, which is bitter sweet.  I will miss watching they play nearly every weekend, but I am anxious to have a bit more time to just do what ever...like go to the pool, go for bike rides or go to the lake!  I think some lake time was what I had on my mind when I created these cards using Lilypad Lake.  Once again, I'm giving some love to some of the great stamp sets that carried over to the new catalog.

Seaside Spray was the perfect color to use for a beautiful, calm waters for some simple little sail boats, sailing into the sunset.  And don't you love the pop of red?

I don't know birds very well, but this stunning guy reminds me of the herons we have along the creek in our backyard.  I love to see them standing so tall and proud in the water as we walk along the creek trail.  This sentiment couldn't be more perfect to go with this beautiful bird.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lipstick, Melon Mambo, Call Me Clover
Ink ~ Melon Mambo, Lovely Lipstick, Bermuda Bay, Call Me Clover, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Smoky Slate, Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Seaside Spray, Real Red, Soft Suede

Guess what?!?!  I finally ordered some new things from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog...FINALLY!  Now to patiently wait for it to all get here!

Thank you for stopping by today!

#TGIFC218 With Sympathy

Happy Friday my stamping friends!  We made it through the week and to a new TGIF Challenges.  This week we are working on cards that we don't always like to...Sympathy.  While these are not my favorite cards to make, they are always good to have on hand.  I find if I keep a good stash of sympathy cards available, when the time comes to send one, I'm not lost trying to create something in a hurry.
My husband lost his grandmother a little over a week ago, so this card was created with our family members in mind.  Healing Hugs is a beautiful stamp set  that is very fitting when someone is feeling a little under the weather.  But it can also be turned in to a beautiful sympathy card using the Well Written dies.
Healing Hugs is a Distinktive stamp set, which made for a  gorgeous rose when inked with Terracotta Tile.  Adding a little Granny Apple Green fro the leaves and a little splash of Night of Navy, this color combo is stunning!
I die cut the word Sympathy 3 times, glueing them all together, then topping the cut image with the Fine Tip Glue Pen to create a glossy look.  This is such a quick and fun technique!  I stamped "With" in Night of Navy using the Make a Difference stamp set.  I really need to use this stamp set more often!  The font is so pretty and the possibilities of words is endless!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink ~ Terracotta Tile, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy
Stamp Sets ~ Healing Hugs, Make a Difference
Other Supplies ~ Well Written Dies, Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder, Fine Tip Glue Pen

I hope you all have a great weekend!  We are wrapping up our final baseball tournament and I'm camping with 5 {stinky} boys and one coach...pray for me!

Happy Stamping!

Ocean of Thanks

Hello stampers!  How's your week shaping up so far?  It's been a pretty productive one for me, which is a good thing!  With baseball season eating up so much of our time, I feel like I've fallen behind on some of the things around our house. We're getting ready to head out for our final baseball tournament of the season, which means even more time to catch up once this weekend is over!
I've been starting off each morning with a little bit of stamping...this makes my heart so happy!  This weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch is so simple...one of the many reasons I love playing along with them so often!
I had bits and scraps of Come Sail Away DSP left over from my last class that were perfect for this sketch.  Thanks to the Smooth Sailing dies, there is very little stamping on this card...in fact the only stamping is the sentiment.  I love being able to show my customers that you don't always have to fill a card with stamped images to make it amazing!
I love the subtle embossing of the wheel die!  And the Subtle Embossing Folder gave my card front just the right amount of texture, which matched up beautifully with the striped strip of DSP!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow, Seaside Spray, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Vellum, Come Sail Away DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy
Stamp Set ~ Sailing Home
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes Dies, Smooth Sailing Dies

Off I go to pick up groceries...I have 5 boys to feed this weekend!  I need a second job just to keep my kids and their friends fed during the summer!

Happy Wednesday!

Daisies and Denim

Hello my stamping friends and welcome to a new week!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  We spent our weekend in Idaho with my husbands family.  His grandmother passed away last week and we all gathered to celebrate her life.  Funerals are never a great reason to get together, but time with family is always special, no matter what the circumstances are.
I went for a quiet walk yesterday morning before we headed home and took in the beauty of the wild flowers and peaceful blue skies along the way. I love finding creative inspiration in my surroundings and could not wait to get home and create!
Seaside Spray is such a beautiful and calming color...perfect for some pretty daisies in a pocket of denim!  The fuzzy little Perennial Essence Floral Centers gave them an extra pop of color...they are so cute!
If you loved last years Daisy Delight Bundle, you will also love the new Daisy Lane Bundle!  The Daisy Lane stamp set coordinates with the new Medium Daisy Punch AND the Daisy Punch.  It is so great to have carry over products that coordinate with new stamp sets!  If you haven't purchased your Daisy Lane Bundle yet, you are missing out!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink ~ Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray
Stamp Sets ~ Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight
Other Supplies ~ Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, Subtle Embossing Folder, Well Written Dies, Perennial Essence Floral Centers, Pocket Dies

It's time for me to go give my flower beds a little TLC before my youngest and I head out on a bike ride and picnic lunch.

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Ruffled Roses ~ #TGIFC217

It's finally Friday!!  And y'all know what that means...time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  Our team is trying out a fun technique...Ribbon Ruffles!  How many of you have spools and spools of ribbon? It's time to use it!
I used the new 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon a few days ago on another card and absolutely LOVE this ribbon!  It's ties beautiful bows, but it also makes for some pretty fantastic ribbon ruffles too!
I mentioned yesterday that I still haven't placed an order from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, other than my pre-order items.  I know, I know...I'll get on it soon!  But not having ALL of the new things is giving me the opportunity to create with some of my favorites that carried over.
First Frost is my favorite stamp set for wedding cards.  I love the soft images and all of the beautiful coordinating Frosted Bouquet Dies.
With the Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon as my staring point, I pulled a couple new In Colors and paired them up with a couple of favorites.  Getting 5 new colors each year is so good.  It's fun to come up with new color combos.  Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock paired up beautifully with Mint Macaron and Petal Pink!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron
Ink ~ Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Bouquet Dies, 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

If only my yard was filled with flowers like this to create my own living bouquets.  I add a few new flower varieties each year in hopes of having this some day!  With that being said, the rain has gone away for a bit, which means I'm headed out to dig in the dirt for a bit!

Have a great Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Thankful Magnolia

Happy Thursday friends!  I am officially on summer break for the next 8 weeks...hooray!  It's a cold, dreary and rainy day today...a perfect day for stamping and playing along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge!
You guys...I still haven't placed my order from the new catalog!!!  What is wrong with me?!?!  I've been struggling to decide what I want to get first and not break the bank by buying it all at once...the struggle is REAL!  I think I have finally decided what my first order will be. Now I just need to commit!  In the meantime, I'm still having fun playing with the all of my pre-order items, including the Magnolia Lane Suite.
I think it's safe to say that I am addicted to coloring with the Stampin' Blends.  Seriously...I don't think I've made a card lately where I haven't used them!  I loved coloring when I was little and still love it today.  My youngest loves to color too...it's my favorite go-to activity for him when he needs to chill out!
Just look at how beautifully the Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow colors blend!
As I was cutting out the first magnolia I colored, my die slipped a bit...GRRRR!  That always frustrates me, but it happens to all of us!  In my frustration, I posted a picture showing my mistake.  Guess what...no one even noticed!  This was such a HUGE reminder to me to find beauty in everything, even our mistakes.  We are our biggest critics, always quick to point out our flaws and there is NO reason for it!  I'm so grateful for this reminder and all of the amazing people in my life!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP
Ink ~ Petal Pink, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Good Morning Magnolia
Other Supplies ~ Magnolia Memory Dies, Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

It's looking like we have rain for a bit longer...more time for me to stamp!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Mosaic Wishes ~ HSSSC317

The countdown is on...only 2 more days of work for me and then I get to enjoy 8 weeks of summer vacation!  I am SO ready!  Summer break means more time to stamp and more time to play along with fun challenges like this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.

This week's sketch paired up perfectly with the Mosaic Mood Suite.  Have you seen the new Timeless Label Punch?  I love it's unique shape!  And the Mosaic Mood DSP is AMAZING!  It is so full of beautiful colors and textures.
I am loving all of the new DSP patterns that have images that you can cut out, like this beautiful humming bird.  Isn't it pretty?
Inspired by some of the samples in the 2019-2020 Annual catalog, I roughed up the edges of a layer to add just a bit more texture.  I always love how some of the smallest details can add so much to a card.

Supplies Used: Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Crushed Curry
Stamp Set ~ Memorable Mosaic
Other Supplies ~ Timeless Label Punch, 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots

Have you had a chance to use the Textile Ribbon yet?  I LOVE how beautifully {and EASY} it works for bows.  If you haven't ordered it yet, it's a must have if you love to use ribbon on any of your projects.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please be sure to check out our amazing design teams creations and join along in the fun!

Colorfully Blessed Roses ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We have another fabulous hop in store for you this week!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...we promise you will love them all! We have a few sitting this hop out as they enjoy some family time, but we still have some amazing projects to share with you!

A very sweet friend graduated from with her masters over the weekend and I wanted to give her a special card to celebrate her amazing accomplishment.  Not only was she going to school, but she was pastoring our church, raising her family and providing friendship to so many.  We are all BLESSED to have her in our life!  These colorful roses and simple sentiment say it all!

Once again, I found myself coloring...it truly is my therapy!  I turn on my favorite station and get lost in the moment...so good!  I love the bold Poppy Parade with the softer Pool Party.

I'm not sure how I managed to get this stamp set and forget the coordinating dies, but I did.  It's a good thing I love fussy cutting!  Here's a fun tip for fussy cutting images that you have colored...before you begin cutting, outline the image in a light color, such as Pool Party or Smoky Slate.  It takes some of the stress out of fussy cutting!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party
Stamp Set ~ A Wild Rose
Other Supplies ~ Butterfly Duet Punch, Stitched Nested Labels, Glitter Organdy Ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I hope you all had a great weekend and have a great start to a new week!

Next stop on the hop is my creative friend Cathy...I always love all of her awesome creations! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on backwards to the wickedly wonderful Wendy...I just love her!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Geared Up for Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing Father's out there!
As a daughter, my dad was my first love, my greatest inspiration and my true hero growing up...and he still is today!
As a wife, I have been blessed with an amazing husband that my boys are so lucky to call Dad...he goes above and beyond in doing so much for all of us!
I am loving that Geared Up Garage carried over into the annual catalog!  This is such a great stamp set and can be use for so many occasions for any guy in your life.
Did you know the oil stain image works perfectly to create a rusty look on the gears?  I stamped the image in Cajun Craze on the Bermuda Bay gears for he perfect rusty look!
I wanted to use my embossing paste to create a fun brick background for this card, only to discover that I had run out.  No worries...a little versa mark smeared across the brick stencil and some white embossing power did the trick!  Topped of with a copper embossed sentiment, a bold Crushed Curry Stitched Circle and a few copper gears, this card is complete and ready for a pretty rad Dad!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Cooper Foil
Ink ~ Cajun Craze, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Geared Up Garage
Other Supplies ~ Garage Gears, Stitched Shapes, White Embossing Powder, Pattern Party Decorative Masks

I hope you all have a great day and get to spend some time with that special guy in your life...whether it be your own dad, your husband or any father figure in your life that you love.

Hooray for Friday!
It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges and this week we have a fun sketch for you!  Be sure to check out our amazing design team creations and join along in the fun!
The last day of school for my boys was Wednesday, which means my mornings are a lot less chaotic and I have a bit more time for stamping!  I enjoyed some color therapy with Accented Blooms, which was the perfect stamp set for our sketch this week!
With all of the bright colors of the flowers, I thought it would be fun to created a black and white striped background.  If you've seen my wardrobe, you know I LOVE anything with black and white stripes!  I stamped different sections of the flowers in black for the banner.  I thought about adding a little bit of color, but liked them as they are!

After coloring the flowers, I outlined the images with my Light Pool Party Stampin' Blend and fussy cut the image.  I love how the Pool Party makes the flowers pop even more against the black and white stripes!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Accented Blooms
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Pineapple Punch, Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay

Blessed To Be Your Friend

Happy Monday stampers!  Did you find any time to create this weekend?  I know everyone is beginning to receive their boxes of new Annual Catalog products and I'm super excited to see what everyone gets!
I'm still stamping with some of my pre-order items, but have a box of new goodies coming my way this week....I can't wait!
Those who attended OnStage back in April got to see the beautiful To A Wild Rose bundle demonstrated.  It was a must have for me!  The images and sentiments are gorgous!
It took me a couple tries to find the right color combination with this Two-Step stamp set, but once I found it, I was so happy with the finished result.  Rococo Rose and Petal Pink for the WIN!  I stamped the rose image twice and cut the center of the bloom out to give the flower a bit more dimension.  This is one of my favorite techniques with floral images!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Petal Pink
Ink ~ Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Set ~ To A Wild Rose
Other Supplies ~ Woven Threads Sequins, Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Nested Labels

This sentiment couldn't be more perfect for a card to send to a dear friend this week.  I truly am blessed to have her in my life!

Here's to a great start to the week!

Rooted in Thoughtfulness

I went to bed last night with plans of getting up early and hitting the road at 6:00 AM for a baseball tournament, only to wake up to a message that games had been delayed by two hours.  My first thought???  Sweet, some extra time to stamp!   I will never complain about that!  The only bummer is that one of my boys also woke up not feeling well, so we stayed behind this morning and missed the first game.  He's feeling a bit better, so we are getting ready to pack up and head out for game two later this afternoon.

Before we head out, I wanted to share what I made this morning, thanks to my unexpected extra stamp time.  A co-worker asked me to make a card for her to send to her uncle who has just recently started cancer treatment.  With a little help from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches and Rooted In Nature, I created a simple Thinking of You card.
I am so happy this stamp set and coordinating dies carried over...it's one of my favorites!  And I'm still stuck on the Subtle Embossing Folder...its just the right amount of texture!

The Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack came in perfect when adding the finishing touches to the card.  I love that the Leaves Trinkets carried over too!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake
Ink ~ Mossy Meadow, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
Stamp Set ~ Rooted In Nature
Other Supplies ~ Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack, Nature's Roots, Leaves Trinkets

And we're off...wish us luck that our drive is uneventful and we have a successful second game!

Have a great Saturday!

Happy Stamping!
