Ombre Ocean ~ #TGIFC314

Happy Friday Friends!  It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges and this week our friend Charlet is taking over with a fun Oh My Ombre Challenge!
After a crazy, busy week, I was so happy to find some calm in my craft room and play along with this challenge.  When I am overwhelmed or stressed, the ocean has always been my favorite place to unwind and reset.  Since I'm unable to visit the ocean at the moment, I went with the next best thing...creating it!
Using some of my favorite blues, I inked up the seaweed in shades of Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight and added a school of fish and their cute little bubbles in Balmy Blue.
The new Ombre Specialty Paper came just in time for today's challenge!  A die cut circle created the perfect spot for the big blue whale and an ombre sentiment.
My youngest was able to go back to full day, in person school this week and he has been SO happy!  He loves seeing ALL of his friends, rather than just half of them on an AM/PM schedule. Looking back on this year and reflecting on ALL of the changes he has had to go through and how well he has handled them left me a little misty-eyed.  I think this card will be perfect to sneak into his lunch box today to let him know just how proud I am of him and all that he has done this school year!

I hope you will join along in the Oh My Ombre fun and share your creations with us this week!

Happy Stamping!

Hand-Penned Petals ~ Monday Montage

Hello friends and welcome back to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Be sure to make your way through all the stops...you won't want to miss a single project from this amazing group of stampers!

Once again, after seeing some of the beautiful projects created using the soon-to-be-available Hand-Penned Suite, I just had to add it to my collection.

I stamped the largest bloom in the set and colored it with Stampin' Blends in shades of Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya and Shaded Spruce.  I created a pretty background by stamping the solid flowers in shades of Blushing Bride, Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron.  Using the Blending Brushes, I added a bit of Blushing Bride around the edges and added just a few splatters of Blushing Bride as well. The Penned Flowers Dies are AMAZING and one was just perfect to tuck behind the bold flower and soft background.  These pieces were paired up with a beautiful piece of Hand-Penned DSP and finished off with some Gold Fine Art Ribbon, Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and a few Genial Gems.  The pretty little sentiment is heat embossed in white and cut with the Tasteful Labels dies.

Next up is the card that used ALL of the new stuff!  Tailored Made Tags and Basic Borders paired up with the Hand-Penned Suite to create this beautiful thank you card.  I used the two-step floral image, bringing Misty Moonlight, Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron together to match the Hand-Penned DSP. This was layered on a Misty Moonlight die cut circle, which was embossed with the Greenery embossing Folders.  Using the Basic Borders Dies, I cut the bottom of the card base front, allowing some pretty DSP to peek through from the inside of the card.  You are going to LOVE these dies!  The Tailored Made Tags was tailor made for the Thanks sentiment and the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon was the prefect way to top it all off!

Thanks for stopping by and hopping along with us!  Click on the NEXT button to keep on hopping!

I hope to be back a bit more this week, but I make no promises.  My youngest is going back to school for full days this week for the first time in over a year AND we have 5 baseball games this week.  That makes me tired just typing it!

Happy Stamping!

Puffin Birthday Wishes ~ #HSSSC362

Whew!  We made our way through Monday and made it to Tuesday!  And Tuesday means it's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  This week we have a fun sketch challenge for you to play along with.

I'm still having some fun with the Party Puffins stamp set, along with a few other soon-to-be released products.  I absolutely love the Pattern Party DSP...especially since it is such a HUGE stack of paper.  48 pages of bright, colorful images on one side and fun black and white on the other side.

I sniped a few pieces of the multicolored stripes to peek out from a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock with some cute little birthday candles.

I stamped a yummy birthday cake on a piece of Basic White and colored it in shades of Pool Party and Granny Apple Green. I used the Layering Circles dies go along with the sketch, then fussy cut the puffin and added the same colors to the his party hat...so cute!
I also broke out the Tailored Made Tags to add a fun little Make a Wish sentiment.  You are going to love these dies!  I added my favorite Artistry Blooms sequins and a simple little white Bakers Twine bow.  Too cute!

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team creations and join along in the fun!

Happy Stamping!

Blooming Flower Gardens ~ April 2021 Control Freaks Blog Hop

Hello friends and welcome to an all new Control Freaks Blog Hop!  You may have just arrive from Debbie Henderson or you might just be starting.  Either way, keep on hoping until you've made your way all the way through!

My spring flowers are in full bloom and my summer flowers will soon be planted.  I absolutely LOVE this time of year.  Flower gardens make me so happy!
Our very own Wendy Weixler and our dear friend Cheryl Curtis visited me this past weekend and we got to shared some of our new goodies!  It was so much fun!
I didn't think I needed the Pansy Petals right away, but after playing with this set over the weekend, my mind has been changed.  I NEED IT!  I love all of the beautiful and the stamps and dies are AMAZING!  Inspired by my very own pansies, this pretty purple pansy was created with the Pansy dies.  I layered it on top of few pretty patterns of DSP, a cute little sentiment and a beautiful Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon.  A cute little Lady Bug embellishment and some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.  I love how this turned out!
I used some more borrowed new goodies for my second card, as well as one of my favorite Mini Catalog stamp sets.  The Wrapped Bouquet Bundle is one of my favorites and is so pretty in some of the new In Colors.  I created the fun stitched chevron strip using the new Basic Boarders dies, which I also need to add to my collection as well!
I colored the pretty blooms with the new Polished Pink Stampin' Blends and added a few sprigs of Soft Succulent greens.  Some fun heat embossed tags and a cute polka dot background brought the card all together.  This fun DSP is part of the soon to be released Pattern Party DSP, which is available as a Host Offering.  This pack of paper is AMAZING!!
Next up on the hop is Melissa StoutYou are going to love what she has from her flower garden!
I am already missing Wendy and Cheryl!  Our time together was far too short.  It's a good thing we will all be reunited in two short months.  Hooray!!!

Have a fantastic week!

Happy Stamping!

Vintage Butterflies ~ #TGIFC312 Technique Challenge

Happy Friday stampin' friends!  We're going Very Vintage over at TGIF Challenges !
I'll admit...vintage is not usually my style, but thanks to this weeks Technique Challenge, I'm loving it!
I started out by embossing a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder, then sponged a bit of black around the edges and added a few splatters with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.
I stamped a couple of Forever Ferns leaves on another layer of Very Vanilla, sponging a little more Tuxedo Black around the edges.  After stamping a page of the Butterfly Brilliance butterflies, I die cut them and added a couple to each card.

A vintage card can always use some lace ribbon, right?!?!  The Very Vanilla Lace Ribbon was perfect for this cute little tag from the Wrapped Bouquet Bundle.

I kept this one a little more simple by just adding a beautiful sentiment.

I love how elegant these look...and they were created with such ease!  I really need to play around with the Vintage technique more...it's so beautiful!

Now I get to go spend the weekend with two of my favorite stampin' friends, Wendy and Cheryl, who came in to town so we can watch the virtual OnTour session together.  We are going to have so much fun!!

Happy Stamping!

Party Puffins ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome to another marvelous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Be sure to hit every stop along the way...you won't want to miss out on a single project!

My preorder arrived late last week and I just got around to unboxing and playing with some of my new goodies!  One of the must haves on my preorder list was the adorable Party Puffins.  These little guys are just the cutest!
I stamped couple Party Puffins in Memento, then brought them to life with a little Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight on their beaks and Pumpkin pie for their cute little feet.  And a Party Puffin isn't ready for a party without a party hat colored in shades of Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya.
Every party needs a cake, right?!?!  This tasty treat was colored in Pale Papaya with some Pool Party frosting, all topped with some Flirty Flamingo candles.  A couple strips of the awesome new hostess Pattern Party DSP, a heat embossed Happy Birthday on Pool Party and a few Artistry Blooms Sequins helped to complete the celebration!

After very little stamping in the past two weeks, these cute little guys were the perfect way to get my creativity flowing again!

Now it's time to hop on over to the next stop...you're going to love what you see!

Happy Stamping!

Waterfront Anniversary

Hello and happy Saturday! It's a very happy Saturday for me...my hubby and I are celebrating out 17th wedding anniversary AND I'm finally back in my all new craft room!  Thanks to my dad and my husband, my craft room is {almost} finished and so beautiful!  As soon as the last few little things are complete, I will share pictures with you!  Stay tuned...
Until then, I am happy to share the anniversary card I made for my husband using the beautiful retiring Waterfront stamp set.  I am really sad to see this set go...it has been a well loved set in my collection!
I started out by creating the sunset, blending shades of Balmy Blue, So Saffron and one of the new In Colors, Pale Papaya.  I used a mask for the sun, the added just the lightest amount of So Saffron to fill it in.  A few little wisps of clouds were stamped to bring all of the colors together.
The mountains were stamped in shades of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, then blended in with a little more Crumb Cake and Old Olive.  A forest of trees were stamped in Old Olive and the gorgeous new Evening Evergreen In Color.  The sentiment, which I love so much, was stamped in Memento.

I layered the sunset scene on a Tasteful Textile embossed piece of Soft Suede and used Evening Evergreen for the card base.  It needed a little something extra...hello Braided Linen Trim!  Thank you for being the something extra! I'm super sad to see this retire too!

Our anniversary is always right in the middle of baseball season, which means most of our day will be spent apart with my husband getting the Little League fields ready for opening day on Monday and me watching one of our twins play at the high school.  I'm hoping we can join back up this evening for a nice dinner out!

Have a super Saturday!

Happy Stamping!

Hydrangea Love ~ #HSSIC361

Spring is here and this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge is full of colorful springtime images that are sure to inspire you to create!

My craft room is still torn apart, awaiting my new desk, so stamp time has been very limited!  The good news is that my desk should be installed by tomorrow and I will be back in business.  The even better news is that I had created a card a little bit ago that I haven't shared yet and it fits right in with todays challenge!

I love Hydrangea's especially with white and green varieties.  I love adding them to a bouquet of other brightly colored flowers!
I create the background by inking up the largest hydrangea background stamp and "tapping" it in random patterns on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  This was done using shades of Mint Macaroon and Granny Apple Green.  I then came in with the stamped off color of Pretty Peacock, with the smaller background stamp.  Then I bushed a soft layer of Bermuda Bay to blend it all together and added a few Night of Navy splatters.  I learned this fun technique from one of the awesome Crafty Carrot Collective tutorials.  (If you haven't subscribed yet...DO IT! )
The hydrangea was heat embossed in white on Velum and the tiny little tag was added.  I wrapped it all up with some Snail Mail twine and a few little Whale of a Time sequins.

I hope you are all enjoying spring and can't wait to see what you are inspired to create today!

Happy Stamping!

Art Gallery Birthday Wishes ~ #TGIFC310

It's Friday and that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges Color Challenge!
This color challenge is perfect for any of your spring creations.  I recently purchased the Art Gallery bundle and Fine Art Floral DSP, which were just right for this color challenge!
I love this DSP pattern! The texture in this paper is amazing!
I stamped the largest flower in Pool Party, the smaller bloom in Flirty Flamingo and the bundle of blooms in Blushing Bride, with all of the stems stamped in Old Olive.
The Floral Gallery Dies are currently on backorder, so I did have to fussy cut the flowers.  But if you know me, fussy cutting is my calm...so I was happy to snip away!  The sentiment, from Happiest of Birthdays,  was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies.  A few Artistry Blooms sequins and this card is complete!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful Easter weekend!  It has been a bit crazy around here the past two weeks, but I am headed in to Spring Break, which hopefully means lots of stamping time for me!

Happy Stamping!
