A Day at the Farm

Happy Wednesday friends!  Are you ready for a Day at the Farm?  This DSP is the cutest and FULL of fun images that are just begging to be fussy cut.  I spent some time cutting these farm critters out a few weeks ago...

...and this weeks Global Design Project Sketch Challenge was perfect way to put them to use!

The rolling hills pattern is just what all of these grazing farm animals needed!  With a little splash of Daffodil Delight strips and Balmy Blue flowers, it really does feel like the perfect spring day on the farm!

I love this simple Hello There sentiment from Full of Love!  That little sentiment was the only stamping required.  I love it when the DSP can steal the show!

Don't forget you can earn the Day at the Farm DSP for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!

Soda Shoppe Valentine

How cute is this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge?!?  So many creative possibilities with all of these cute photos.

I paired the Share a Milkshake bundle up with this cute heart pattern of Country Floral Lane DSP for a fun soda shoppe style valentine.

I stamped the milkshake/soda cup in Polished Pink with a foamy Petal Pink top.  Two cute Polished Pink straws make for the perfect valentine soda to share with your sweetheart, and don't forget the cherry on top!

A few Stylish Shape circles in shades Polished Pink and Petal Pink helped to tie all of these fun colors together. I wasn't sure about this color combo at first, but I love how it all came together.

I can't wait to see all of the inspiriting creations you all share with us.

Love That We Are Friends

Welcome to another fabulous Monday Montage blog hop!  We have so many amazing creations to share with you, so make sure you don't miss a single stop!

I'm not sure how the weekend is already over!  They always go by so fast, especially when you have a weekend full of activities and events.  Thanks so some cold, wintery weather that rolled in and a quiet Sunday afternoon, I still had some time to stamp, which always makes for a good weekend.

I just recently added the Country Floral Lane suite to my collection and I'm so happy I did!  The floral patterns in the Country Floral Lane DSP are so pretty, but the flip side of each of those patterns are my favorite, especially these Sweet Sorbet stripes!

I stamped the larger floral heart image in Sweet Sorbet and Pear Pizzazz and fussy cut the heart shape.  The cute striped heart was stamped in Sweet Sorbet and the smaller heart was stamped in Petal Pink and punched out with the Country Bouquet Punch.
A couple of Pear Pizzazz leaves and a Mossy Meadow spring were tucked behind the sentiment, which was embossed on Evening Evergreen.  I don't use a ton of ribbon, but I love this Burlap Ribbon and had to use it!  I wrapped it around the largest Stylish Shapes circle and secured it with a white Baker's Twine bow.  So cute! a few of the Pastel Sequins added just the right amount of bling to complete the card.

Next up is Cathy of Sugar Shack Designs...your going to love what she has for us this week!

Or if you want to hop on back, you'll find yourself at Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations...she has a pretty wonderful creation to share with us too!

Saturday Stamping with Plentiful Plants

Happy Saturday!  It's cold and foggy here today, which makes it a great day for stamping!  I pulled out a favorite, Plentiful Plants, to play along with this weeks  Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge.

Using a Crafty Carrot technique, I stamped all of the pots and plants then blended the ink together using a Blender Pen.  I love how this makes the color a little softer!

I always seem to have a brick wall with any of my plant cards!  I added a little Whisper White craft ink to the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder to give it a bit of a worn look.  A strip of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder to create a shelf for the plants.

An added splash of color was brought in with the sentiment embossed on Coastal Cabana and a bit of the Garden Green Twine was added for good measure.

I hope you are all having a great start to your weekend and sneaking in a little creative time of your own!

Sea Turtle Birthday Wishes

Welcome to this weeks TGIF Challenges where we are celebrating all things Birthday!  You can never have too many birthday cards on hand, right?

I've had the adorable Sea Turtle stamp set sitting on my desk since it arrive a few weeks ago and finally got around to inking it up. Sea Turtles are one of my favorite sea creatures, so this big guy was a must have for me!

I used the bubbly water stamp to create a the background, using both sides of the reversible stamp.  I think I used nearly every shade of blue I own! A few Pastel Sequins were added for a few extra bubbles.

The turtle was stamped with Mint Macaron (stamped off once) with Soft Suede for the shell.  Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss were used for the starfish and Crumb Cake for the starfish, just like the ones we find on the Oregon Coast!

The sandy layer was also stamped with the bubbly stamp on Sahara Sand, then tore at the top for a little extra texture.  I struggled to find the right Happy Birthday sentiment at first, but after looking through my stamp sets I found the perfect one in Waves of Inspiration.  I kept things simple and stamped the sentiment on a strip of Basic White in Pacific Point.

I hope you'll join along in the fun this week and share your Birthday creation with us!

Fun & Fancy Fold ~ Control Freaks Blog Hop

Welcome to the January edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are getting Fun & Fancy with our folding!  Did you just arrive from Cindy Elam of Hearts Delight Cards or are you just starting the hop?  Either way, make sure to hop along to the very end so you don't miss a single one of the amazing creations!

I couldn't resist putting away the Dainty Flowers DSP without making another card! The card base was created with a pice of DSP, scored and folded to create a Fun & Fancy fold!

A Petal Pink panel was added to hold the beautiful fussy cut bouquet of dainty flowers.  These little flowers are so dainty that I may have held my breath when cutting some of them for fear of cutting one of the leaves of blooms off!  I used the Kind & Sincere stamp set again for the sentiment and will likely use it again very soon.  I love the mixed fonts!  A simple Linen Thread bow and a few Pastel Sequins completed the card.

Thanks for hopping along with us this month.  Next up is Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations!

Wising for Summer Sunflowers

Yesterday was a glorious, sunshiny day that lifted my spirts and shook off a few of the winter blues.  This weeks Global Design Projects Color Challenge is full of colors that make me happy too!
I dusted off an old favorite, Celebrate Sunflowers, and had an amazing Stampin' Blend coloring session.  I stamped the smaller sunflowers across a piece of Thick Basic White.
I used So Saffron, Granny Apple Green and Crumb Cake to color the sunflowers, then filled in all of the white space with Balmy Blue.  Reminds me of sunflowers on a sunny summer day, up against the blue sky.  The smaller sunflowers were not quite enough, so I added the giant sunflower on top.

With the softness of sunflowers and sky, a bold sentiment embossed on Basic Black was a must!  A Black & White Gingham Ribbon and a few Milky Dots were the perfect finishing touches!

Here's to hoping for a few more warm, sunny January days!

Dainty, Kind and Sincere

Happy Monday stampers!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! And to those of us who have the honor of an extra day off on this MLK Jr. Day, I hope your day is filled with something crafty.
I am enjoying a slow, quiet morning with some coffee and cards.  I opened up the beautiful Dainty Flowers DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and paired it up with the Kind & Sincere stamp set.  I love the bright, bold colors of these dainty little flowers!

The first card I kept pretty simple, using the DSP pattern with the pretty oval wreath of flowers.  There are enough of these patterns in the pack to make 12 cards like this...perfect for a card class!  I stamped the Thanks from Kind & Sincere and fussy cut it.  So Very Much was embossed on a piece of Rich Razzleberry and die-cut with Stitched Rectangles.  A Linen Thread faux-bow and a few little Brushed Brass Butterflies finished the card off.

I stepped things up a bit with the next card, fussy cutting the string of flowers from the same pattern of DSP as the oval floral wreath...not wasting one single bit of this DSP!  This time I stamped Congratulations, again in Rich Razzleberry and fussy cutting it out. To You was embossed on Rich Razzleberry and die-cut with the little banner from Stylish Shapes Dies.  Another Linen Thread faux-bow and some butterflies completed this card.

The final card is another beautiful pattern of DSP full of so many pretty colors! I fussy cut around the tops of the flowers then popped them up on a Basic White card base.  Thanks for Being So was embossed on Rich Razzleberry and Kind was stamped and fussy cut.  I tucked a little piece of an Old Olive pattern of DSP behind the Kind to help it stamped out a little bit more.  I skipped the Linen Thread on this one, but added more of the Brushed Brass Butterflies.  I love these pretty little embellishments!

I'm not sure what the rest of our day will bring, but I'm going to take advantage of a bit more time in my craft room before my youngest wakes up with plans of some sort of adventure on our day off.

Ride On, It's Your Birthday

Are you ready to kick off the weekend with a new TGIF Challenges Sketch?!?  This one is a ton of fun with so many possibilities!

I flipped the sketch vertically and may have added a few extra elements...but you can still see the sketch, right???  I always love a good masculine suite and Ready to Ride does not disappoint! Using the Stamparatus, I inked up the motorcycle in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I inked and stamped the image twice, something I love to do when stamping a solid black image.
Do you have the Ready to Ride DSP yet?  The black foil that is mixed in with some of the patterns is so awesome and is perfect for that official biker look!  I softened things up just a bit by adding a fussy cut bunch of roses from one of the patterns.

A little Silver Foil embossed Metal Plate 3D Embossing folder added just a bit more ruggedness, along with a few Adhesive Backed Studs.

Be sure to check out the rest of the TGIF Designers projects and join along in the fun!

Enjoy the Happy Adventure

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge of 2023!  We have a cheerful Color Challenge for you to play along with this week!

The Memories & More Card Packs are perfect for days that you want to make a quick card!  The new Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating Cards & Envelopes are so much fun!

And it just so happens that two of the Color Challenge colors are part of this pack!  I opted for the Mango Melody and Petal Pink card base, which I ended up cutting down from an A6 to an A2. (Anyone else struggle with the longer card bases like I do?!?) I loved the heart pattern in one of the cards, adding a second Mango Melody patterned card behind it.

I did die-cut a Pool Party Stylish Shapes Circle to go along with the color challenge, but you can easily stick with using only the cards and stickers in the card pack! I loved the Happy For You sticker and die-cut another circle from the YAY! patterned card.  The Pool Party circle was a little lonely on it's own, so I added the cute little flowers to help fill it in.  A few Mango Melody Milky Dots were all that was left to finish off this quick, easy and super cute card!

What will you create with this fun color challenge this week?  I can't wait to see!

Spec-TACO-lar Birthday ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to our first Monday Montage Blog Hop of 2023! We are exited to share another year of creativity with all of you!

I finally had the chance to ink up the super cute Taco Fiesta stamp set and it did not disappoint!  These little delicious Mexican food favorites are so much fun to color, especially with the Stampin' Blends...my favorites!
Shades of Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade were perfect for all of these tasty dishes.  Isn't the Crumb Cake piñata the cutest too?!? And with a piñata, you need a fun little flag banner, right?  The tiny triangle dies from the Beautiful Shapes dies worked perfectly! Anyone else hungry for some yummy Mexican food now?!?
I played along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches for the sketch.  The circles were meant for all of these fun images!
Hop along with the rest of the Monday Montage crew to see what fun projects they have in store for you!

Hoot, Hoot, Hello!

Welcome to the first TGIF Challenges Color Challenge of 2023!  We're so excited to kick off another year of creating!

This month's Color Challenge was meant for the Adorable Owls stamp set, available now in the Sale-a-Bration catalog!

Using my Water Painters and some Shimmery White Cardstock, I painted a Balmy Blue Background. The Apple Blossoms Dies were too perfect not to use for this adorable little owl! You can still snag these dies from Clearance...don't miss out!

Some Early Espresso tree branches and Polished Pink flowers have me longing for spring days again! The Timber 3D embossing folder added just the right amount of texture and just a bit of bling comes from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.

I hope you'll join along in the colorful fun this week!

Love You So Much

Now that Christmas and New Years are behind us, I am ready for sunny spring weather and pretty flowers!  Sadly, I know we have a couple more months of wintery weather to come, so I'll have to make do with pretty flowers created in my craft room!

I always love a stamp set with a big sentiment!  The Love For You bundle has a couple of those big sentiments AND dies to cut them out...flowers too!

I stamped So Much Love in Night of Navy and For You in Melon Mambo then pieced them together to say Love You So Much.  It's been a while since I've used Melon Mambo and I forgot how much I love it.

I was going to go with a Night of Navy card base, but it was too dark.  I had a Bermuda Bay card base left over from another project and it ended up being perfect with the other colors.

There are lots of great sentiments with the Love For You stamp set that can be used for several different occasions, so plan on seeing more fun cards made with this bundle soon!

Best Day Party

Happy New Year! I know I'm a day late, but yesterday was a total lazy day that resulted in very little being done.

Today was my last day of winter break, so I did my best to spend most of it in my craft room. (In between taking care of my son's sweet new puppy while he was at work.)

This weeks Global Design Project Party Theme gave me a great excuse to ink up and color the new Best Day stamp set.  This is the cutest stamp set!

I love this fluffy cupcake kitty!  It reminds me of our old gray kitty who was about as fluffy as this one.  I added some fun pops of color using Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay and Polished Pink, along with a Pool Party cupcake wrapper.  I dusted off my Basic Border dies to create a fun background to match the party hat. So much fun!

I couldn't just color one of these fun images and had to do the Happy Birthday cake too!  I stuck with the same colors for the birthday cake, adding some So Saffron for a yummy vanilla cake.  Some Stylish Shapes circles match up perfectly with the polkadots on the cake!

Can you believe I made two cards without any embellishments?!?  That almost NEVER happens in my crafty adventures.  Sometimes I have to remind myself that all a card needs is stamp, ink and paper.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the week!  I'll be back with more fun things to share throughout the week...stay tuned!

Happy Stamping!
