Truly Thankful

It's Friday and for that I am truly thankful!  It has been another crazy week, but I think I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  No matter how crazy the weeks may be, I always look forward to Friday because that always means it's time for and all new Friday Mashup!
This week we have a sketch with a mashup challenge of adding leaves to your project.  I always love an open sketch like this...so many possibilities!
After making all of the cute Wickedly Sweet Treats from September's Paper Pumpkin kit, I kept the stamp set out on my desk because I knew I wanted to use it again.  The little leaves and acorns were perfect for this challenge!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Gold Glimmer Paper
Ink ~ Soft Suede, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Set ~ Wickedly Sweet Treats September Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Square Pillow Box Thinlits, Linen Thread, Score Board

It's been a while since I've used my score board to add a little extra detail to a card, but I am reminded that I need to use it more.  I love how just a couple score lines can add so much to a project!

Be sure to head on over to see the rest of the fabulous mashup creations from our design team!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Grateful for You

We are only a few days away from Halloween which means Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!  I always like to send cards out to family and friends during the month of November just to let them know how grateful I am for them.
Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration is focusing on the stamp set called For All Things Today.  This was one of my favorite sets last year and I was very happy to see it carry over in the annual catalog. The soft watercolored images are so pretty...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Tip Top Taupe
Stamp Sets ~ For All Things, Holly Jolly Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Metallic Sequins, Blackberry Bliss Striped Cotton Ribbon

I have had to stop and remind myself of all that I have to be grateful the past few weeks...I've been under some major stress at work and I let it get to me in so many ways.  But when I take a step back and look at the big picture, I am reminded of how blessed and grateful I am to have this job and one of the very best co-workers around!  This card is going out in the mail this week letting her know just how grateful I am for her!

Be sure to check out all of the beautiful creations from our design team today...you are sure to be Inspired to create!

Peaceful Embossed Pines

Two blog posts in a row...it's a Christmas Miracle!
I broke down and got the Softly Falling Embossing folder and it was just in time for today's SSINK Product Focus...embossing folders!
I tried telling myself I didn't need these trees, but I didn't listen.  They also ended up in my last order and I'm so happy I've fallen victim to my children's inability to listen ;-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Naturals White, Lost Lagoon, Wild Wasabi, Silver Foil
Ink ~ Wild Wasabi, Lost Lagoon
Stamp Set ~ Peaceful Pines
Other Supplies ~ Perfect Pines Framelits, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Christmas Greetings Thinlints, Silver Thread, Itty Bitty Accents Punch

And here I thought I was doing so well...but I just realized that the Naturals White paper is no longer...that would explain why I have so much of it still!  This is a clear sign that I really need to go through all of my supplies and pull out what is retired.  This needs to happen soon as I will be moving into a new craft room...but pro"craft"nation is my middle name!

Happy Tuesday to all of you and Happy Stamping!

Merry Christmas Monday

No, it's not Christmas yet, but it sure felt like it yesterday because I actually got to stamp!  It was a treat to spend a couple hours in my craft room and just stamp...much needed therapy after a couple of crazy weeks!
I finally got to play with the Festive Flower Builder Punch and I love it!  I had to cheat a little with the stamped images...I some how managed to mess up and only ordered the punch instead of the bundle, so I had to improvise and use the retired Build A Bouquet stamp set.  Shhhh....I won't tell if you don't tell ;)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive, Gold Glimmer, Home for Christmas DSP
Ink ~ Old Olive, Real Red
Stamp Sets ~ A Little Something, Build a Bouquet (retired)
Other Supplies ~ Square Pillow Box Die, Festive Flower Builder Punch, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Gold Sequin Trim, Pearl Basic Jewels, Note Tag Punch

The Square Pillow Box die is a lot of fun and will make perfect gift card holders this holiday season!  There's even enough room in the box to include a few tasty treats too!

Here's to an awesome week of stamping for all of us!

Happy Stamping!

What better way to kick things off than with an all new Friday Mashup Challenge?!?!
We have a fun challenge this week...a Halloween themed project or a project using ribbon...or mash it up and create a Halloween themed project with ribbon!
I have kind of Halloween'ed myself out in, but I am still loving all things pumpkin and made a fun punch art pumpkin card using some of my favorite Stamping' Up! ribbons!

I  can't seem to make a card these days without adding sequins and some sort of bakers twine or metallic thread...a card just doesn't seem like it's a card without those two things!

We have had a picture perfect fall where I live...it's been warmer than normal and we've had lots of sunshine.  I'm soaking up all the sunshine I can and loving the beautiful fall trees because I know it will all be gone soon, replaced with gloomy skies and cold.
Today we are focusing on the Sheltering Tree stamp set over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets...you can make beautiful cards for any occasion with this set.
The pretty trees and falling leaves were my inspiration...

Winter Wonderland ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with, once again, a fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

It seems crazy to be working on Christmas cards when my air conditioning is still kicking on in the middle of the day, but it's only a couple of months away and will sneak up on us just like it always does!  I'm going to soak up every moment of sunshine and warmth because I know the cold weather will be here any day now!

I absolutely love the Winter Wonderland suite in the Holiday Catalog.  I love the colors of the DSP and the antlers in the stamp set are my FAVORITE!

I stared out with a very CAS card, using just a little strip of the pretty gold foil DSP that is included in the Winter Wonderland DSP.  Along with the gold Cording Trim, it really dressed this card up.

I layered up a few different patterns of DSP for this card and added a touch of gold again...black and white and gold...so pretty!

This last card just kind of happened on it's own.  I had scraps of the different designs of DSP on my desk and they were all laying on top of each other as they are on this card, so I just went with it!  My messy crafting has paid off again :-)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Winter Wonderland DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black, Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Stamp Set ~ Wonderland
Other Supplies ~ Gold Thread, Snowflake Elements, Gold Cording Trim

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope to be back a bit more this week with some more fun creations.  With my hubby gone on a week long hunting trip, this momma is going to need to sneak in some craft therapy for sure!

Happy Stamping!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Wickedly Simple Seasonal Snapshot ~ SSINK Halloween Blog Hop

Hello happy stampers and welcome to our SSINK Halloween Blog Hop!
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 3 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Kim at Stamping with Kim. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

My stamping time has been really limited this past week, which makes me super sad, but thanks to the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Project Life Card Collection and coordinating stamp set I was able to make three cute cards in no time flat!

By simply layering a few PL cards, a few stamped images here and there and a few embellishments these cards were DONE!

The cute little square specialty cards that come in the accessory pack were the PERFECT way for a quick and easy card!

I LOVE this FUN bat card that I used for the background of this card.  With an extra little bat stamped on the Happy Halloween card and layered on top of the moon and stars card, this card was done...easy peasy!

Next up on our Hop is the fabulous Leanne!

We Interrupt This Marriage...

...for hunting season!  Yep...it's that that of year again.  The time of year that my hubby gets a serious case of buck fever and I become a hunting widow.  The good news is that with my hubby and boys gone most weekends I get some time to myself which means more stamp time!
This week at The Friday Mashup we are playing around with silhouettes and backgrounds.
When I started to make the background I had a little something different in mind, but the more I played around with creating the background, the more it looked like camo, which sparked a whole new idea...a hunting card for my hubby!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Tip Top Taupe, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Soft Suede, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Wonderland
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Snowflake Elements, Black Embossing Powder, Basic Black Bakers Twine, Aqua Painter

To create my background, I first spritzed my Watercolor Paper with water then used my Aqua Painter to apply the Tip Top Taupe.  I used my Stamping  Write Markers to color the pinecone image the spritzed it with water and stamped it on the still damp Watercolor Paper.  This made for a fun background for the antlers!
I'll tuck this card in my hubby's pack as he heads out for his first morning of hunting...a fun little traction I started way back when we first started dating.

Now it's your turn to create a background for your silhouette image!

Happy Friday and Happy Stamping!!
