Magical Halloween ~ HSSIC#349

Happy Tuesday stampers!  I hope your Tuesday is off to a terrific start!

I am a little behind the game this year with Halloween.  I usually have all of my decorations up by now and have a costume {mostly} figured out for my youngest.  I have NONE of that done yet, but I am getting in the Halloween spirt with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.

I couldn't resist the gorgeous Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper.  I love all of the patterns, especially the florals!
Have you seen the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder?!?!  It is the coolest!
I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I didn't add the Hallows Night Magic stamp set to my last order, so I had to get a little creative with a sentiment.  Thankfully the September Paper Pumpkin kit arrived just in time to complete this card!
I love how the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and Iridescent Pearls tie everything together.  Creating this card has certainly put me in the Halloween spirit!  I can't wait to get my decorations out tonight!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Blackberry Bliss, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Magic In This Night DSP
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope that you will play along with us so we can see what you are inspired to create!

Autumn Birthday ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

My momma celebrated her birthday on Friday, so I can finally share her card!  I always make her a fall themed card every year and the Gilded Autumn Specialty DPS was perfect for this years fancy fold card.  I found a beautiful tutorial for this fancy fold on the amazing Stamp Your Art Out blog.  Thank you Rachel for sharing this with everyone!
The outside of the card was wrapped with a pretty belly band, which I added a few Gathered Leaves Dies and finished off with some of the beautiful Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon.

I selected a few of my favorite DSP patterns to fill in each panel of the card, which opened up to a Tin Tile embossed inside with a beautiful birthday sentiment.  I love, love, LOVE the colors in this DSP!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Gilded Autumn Speciality DSP
Ink ~ Cajun Craze
Stamp Set ~ Peaceful Moments
Other Supplies ~ Tin Tile Embossing Folder, Gathered Leaves Dies, Sunflowers Dies, Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack

We always seem to get our Indian Summer right around my momma's birthday and it looks like we will again this year.  After a cooler and rainy week last week, we are heading into a warm and sunny week this week.  I am planning on soaking up as much of the sun as I can!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!

Freshly Made Furry Friends

Happy Friday friends!  I am so happy that the weekend is {almost} here and I'm even happier to play along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge
I recently earned a bonus for reaching $100,000 in sales with Stampin' Up!  (I won't tell you how many years that took me!) and I decided to treat myself to couple suites from the Annual Catalog that I have been eyeing for a bit. Being a fur-momma to 4 crazy pups, I just had to add the Playful Pets Suite to my collection!
I selected a few super cute patterns of Playful Pets DSP, choosing a couple for the background and a couple to fussy cut a few furry friends from.  Guess what?!?!  There are even some coordinating dies that will cut some of these doggies and kitties out!  But you all know how much I love to fussy cut, so that was the route I took.
My youngest was quick to point out that this looked like Tramp from Lady and the Tramp.  Knowing the cute story behind some of the animals in this DSP, I wonder if this guy belongs to one of our amazing Stampin' Up! employees.

With that being said...I also wonder if this hilarious grumpy cat belongs to someone at Stampin' Up!?!  I absolutely LOVE this cranky kitty, especially with this sentiment.  I can not wait to send this card out to make someones day!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Real Red, Playful Pets DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Pampered Pets
Other Supplies ~ Playful Pets Dies, White Embossing Powder

I love the simplicity of this weeks Freshly Made Sketches design...especially since my crafty time was pretty limited this week.  Between work, Distance Learning (homeschool) and keeping up with my regular mom duties, I am wiped out!  I am hopeful that I can set aside a good chunk of time this weekend to play with more of my bonus box of goodies!

Happy Stamping!

Falling for Fall ~ Control Freaks Blog Hop

Welcome to the September edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are falling for FALL!  You may just be starting or you may have just hopped over from the marvelous Melissa Stout.  No matter where you started, don't stop until you've made it all the way through!

If you have been following along with me for a while, you probably know that I am a summer girl and live for the warm, sunny days.  BUT...fall is the next best thing!  I love early fall when the mornings and evenings are cool, but the days are still warm and sunny.  Todays cards were so much fun to make, especially since it really felt like a fall day here.

Nothing says fall more than the beautiful changing colors of the leaves on the trees.  Colors are just beginning to change, which was the inspiration behind my first card.
Rooted in Nature is one of my favorite fall-friendly stamp sets and it was so much fun inking up leaves in shades of Pretty Peacock, Bumble Bee and Terracotta Tile.
The leaves were cut out with the coordinating Natures Roots dies and placed on top of the wood round stamped on Soft Suede.  The Thinking of You sentiment was also stamped in Terracotta Tile, fussy cut and popped up with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a few Bumblebee Enamel Dots...because every card needs a little bling, right?  I layered the Soft Suede on top of Bumblebee and added those layers to a Pretty Peacock card base, but not before roughing up the corner of the Soft Suede and adding a few staples.  I love the added texture this gives a card!

What's another sign that fall has arrived?!?!  Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING comes out!  I love me some pumpkin!  While I am not a huge fan of pumpkin spice coffee, I do love a pumpkin spice Chai from one of our local coffee shops.  It's like a desert in a cup.  My next card was designed with that tasty treat in mind.
I love the stripes in the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP.  The colors are so warm and cozy...perfect for a couple cups from Press On.  I stamped a Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze heart, then colored the coffee cozy in Crumb Cake.  The cute little Happy Fall Y'All sentiment is from Banner Year, stamped in Cajun Craze on Mint Macron.  If you don't have that set yet, you need it!  This set is the best for any seasonal holiday!  I wrapped it all up with some cute little leaves and acorn punched from the Gilded Autumn DSP and a simple Linen Thread Bow.  This was all laid out on a piece of Very Vanilla, embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder, then layered on a piece of Mint Macron with a Cajun Craze card base.  These are my favorite fall colors this year!

Next up on the hop is the beautifully creative Cindy Elam.  Doesn't her creation make you fall for fall even more?!?!
Thanks for hoping along with us!  I hope you have found some inspiration in our creations!

Happy Stamping!

Inspiring Best Wishes ~ #TGIFC282

Hello stampers and welcome to Friday! We made it through another week and it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges.  We have a beautiful inspiration challenge for you to play along with this week.

This school year is just getting started and we have all been faced with so many changes and challenges.  Sadly, one of the changes is having to say good-bye to some of our favorite staff members.  One of our amazing secretaries is moving to Texas and today will be her last day with us.  Her team is sending her off with the best wishes and lots of love.

I stamped several of the flower and leave images from Free as a Bird stamp set, coloring them in shades of Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Mint Macaron. Then I set to work fussy cutting each one out...this is my therapy at the end of each day.  Fussy cutting isn't for everyone, but it is a total stress reliever for me!
I loved the bold black background in the inspiration photo and thought it would be perfect for all of the fussy cut flowers and leaves.  I wanted a white card base, but it seems a little too boring, so I added a beautiful piece of Petal Pink Peony Garden DSP...it was the perfect way to tie it all together.  The Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment was just what we needed to send our coworker off with all of the best wishes on her new adventure!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Peony Garden DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Free As a Bird, Itty Bitty Greetings
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Greenery Embossing Folders

I hope you will join us and play along with this weeks challenge. We always love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

Words Are Never Enough ~ HSSCC#348

It's Tuesday...and we all know what that means.  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  We have a beautiful color challenge for you to play along with this week and we can't wait to see what you create!

Much of the Pacific Northwest has been on fire for the past several weeks and my area has been blanketed in a smoky haze since last Friday.  Things are clearing up a little bit, but the bad air quality has kept us inside and the smoggy skies have made for color temps, making it feel like fall.

Today's card was inspired by the fall-like weather and created as a huge thank you to all the fire fighters who have been out for weeks fighting all of these fires.  Words will never be enough to thank they for all that they have done and are continuing to do.

Rooted in Nature is one of my very favorite stamp sets.  I love all of the beautiful leaves and the textures in the coordinating Nature's Roots dies.

I stamped the leaves in Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede and Mint Macaron and added a few die cut leaves on top of the fussy cut wood round.  I added a thin strip of Mint Macaron card stock and some of the beautiful Copper Metallic Ribbon from the Gilded Autumn Suite.  My sentiments were stamped on Mint Macaron and Cinnamon Cider in Cinnamon Cider.  This is quickly becoming one of my favorite new In Colors!

As I said earlier, there will never be enough words to thank all of the fire fighters for all that they are doing.  My husband is finally getting to come home today after being out for 14 days.  He has worked long, hard and exhausting days and has seen devastation that he described as "things you only see in movies".  These men and women have a passion for fighting fire, but these wild fires take things to a whole new level.  I am grateful my hubby only has to work one shift back at the station before getting to have 4 full days off.  It will be a much needed and deserving break!

I hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday!  Be sure to join along in the fun with our challenge!

Happy Stamping!

Merry Christmas Wishes

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

We are just a little over 3 months away from Christmas...say WHAT?!?!  I am not sure how time passes by so quickly, but here we are.  I think if I make at least one Christmas card each week for the next couple of months, I won't feel as much pressure when December rolls around.
I paired up Festive Corners and Banner Year to create this Merry Christmas Wishes card.
I love these adorable little corner Christmas lights!  And they go along perfectly with this super cute Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.  I just had to order another package of this DSP because I have used so much of it!
I colored the Christmas lights in bright colors of Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy.  MERRY was heat embossed on Poppy Parade and CHRISTMAS WISHES was heat embossed on Granny Apple Green...I love these two colors together for Christmas!
I added one final touch with a few All the Trimmings Embellishments.
I love how simple and cheerful this card is. This is one that I will make several of to send out this Christmas.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green Whisper White, Trimming the Town DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy
Stamp Sets ~ Festive Corners, Banner Year
Other Supplies~ White Embossing Powder

I may get an early Christmas gift this week...having my hubby home!!!  He's been gone for the past two weeks working on two different wild fires in Washington state.  It has been a horrible fire season and his strike team, along with thousands others, have worked long, hard and tiring days.  We are all ready for him to be home!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!

Confidence & Coffee ~#TGIF280 Color Challenge

Thank goodness it's Friday and time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  This pretty color challenge was just the distraction I needed after the crazy week I've had!

I'm not sure that I would have survived this week without coffee and I sure could have used a bit more confidence...so I'm keeping this card out to help get me through next week!

I dusted off my Stamparatus to stamp these cute little coffee cups in the background.  To add a bit more fun and color, I stamped the same little coffee cups on Whisper White, colored them, snipped them out and popped them on with a few mini dimensionals.

I stamped, colored and cut several of the bigger coffee cups too, but only used a couple of them.  I kept the layout pretty basic and didn't even add any embellishments.  Can you believe it?!?

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Ink ~ Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend

Stamp Set ~ Press On

Happy Stamping!

Rooted Strength ~ HSSSC

Happy Tuesday stampers and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week I had the honor of creating the sketch challenge for everyone to play along with.  I don't know about you, but I always love having a sketch to help get me started with my creations.
I have been working on a lot of cards with words of encouragement lately.  I work for our local school district and there is not one staff member who has not worked so extremely hard over the past few months to get every thing ready for the first day of school next week.  The card I am sharing today will be given to the staff at my youngest sons school as we go to pick up his virtual school supplies.
Rooted in Nature is one of my favorite stamp sets and I absolutely LOVE this sentiment.  Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You...this is so true for every single staff member this year.
I stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce, Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. I used my Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the tree.  I tend to use my Stampin' Blends more often, but I still love to use my Stampin' Write Markers on my stamps.  (One of my older boys was so amazed by this technique...it made me giggle!)

I added a small watercolor Stitched Shape square with a few leaves stamped, which I topped off with the fussy cut sentiment.  I added a few strips of Pretty Peacock and Just Jade behind the square to complete the sketch.  I just love this color combo!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Watercolor
Ink ~ Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Pretty Peacock
Stamp Set ~ Rooted in Nature
Other Supplies ~ Natures Roots Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies

I hope your week is off to a great week so far! Be sure to join us and play along with our sketch this week. We always love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!
