Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #284

Happy Tuesday stampers!  I don't know about you, but my Monday FLEW by and I am okay with that!  It's that crazy time of year where my twins are starting baseball and wrapping up basketball...that means I'm running from one practice to the next and trying to get kids fed in between, then back home and in bed at a decent hour.  Thankfully the double practices are only for two weeks...I can do it!

With all of the craziness of sports, I did manage to get some stamping time in, which is my only saving grace!  Without stamping, I'd likely be in a crazed state of mind!  Thank goodness for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge...the bright and cheerful colors are JUST what I needed!

I pulled out an older stamp set for this challenge and had some fun mixing in some new DSP.  I LOVE it when that happens :-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Tutti-frutti DSP
Ink ~ Tranquil Tide, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight
Stamp Set ~ Lots of Love
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes Framelits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Okay, who else LOVES to fussy cut?  I know it can sometimes be time consuming, but it is such a calming activity for me.  Perfect for the end of the day when I am trying to shut my mind off from everything that has happened during the day.

Here's to a great day!!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC148 Masking Technique

Helloooo stampers and happy Friday!!

It's time for an all new technique challenge over at TGIF Challenges and this week we are MASKING!!  I'll be the first to say this is a technique I don't use very often, but it's always fun!
I got the super cute Fortunate to Know You set with full intentions of using it for something fun for Valentine's Day, but never got around to making anything with it.  As I was searching through my stamps to find a good set to use with the masking technique, this one jumped right out!

I stamped the chopsticks on a piece of scrap paper and cut them out.  I then stamped my chopsticks on the card front first, then covered them with the ones I had cut out and stamped the other images.  So simple!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate
Stamp Set ~ Fortunate to Know You

Okay...who else is craving Chinese food now?!?  I may need to make my hubby take me out to dinner tonight :-)

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!  I am hoping to lock myself in my craft room for at least one day and get some projects done!

Happy Stamping!

It has been FREEZING here this weekend.  With the crazy wind, snow, hail and rain we've had, I'm not feeling guilty at ALLl for hanging out in my warm, cozy craft room.

We may still be dealing with winter weather, but I'm thinking spring!!!  With Easter being just a little over a month away, I decided it was time to work on some cute Easter creations.  Hello Easter is the CUTEST stamp set...I love that little bunny!
I was inspired by the Occasions Catalog and this weeks fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for the card.  And since my FAVORITE Easter treats are in the stores, I had to buy a bag to make  cute treat box with.  I may have eaten a few of those yummy chocolate eggs while I was stamping!  You really can't see in the picture, but I used the Basket Weave embossing folder on the Treat Box..it's super cute!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Pool Party, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP
Ink ~ Soft Suede, Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, VesaMark
Stamp Set ~ Hello Easter
Other Supplies ~ Ombre Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Clear Tiny Treat Boxes, Layering Circles Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Duet Banner Punch

Do you think my projects will bring on the spring weather?!!?  I sure hope they do!  Baseball season is just a few weeks away and I do NOT want to sit in the freezing rain...brrrr!!! Bring on SPRING!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have an amazing day!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Blossoming Basket For You

Happy Friday stampers!

I had big plans to get this post done first thing this morning, especially since NEW Sale-A-Bration items were released, but it didn't happen.  My boys and I went to a concert last night and got home in to bed LATE!!!  Way past my bedtime kind of late!  So, I didn't get some of the things done that I had wanted to this morning, but sleeping in felt pretty amazing.

Anyhow...as I was saying, some amazing NEW Sale-A-Bration items were released today and I am certain you will want to add them to your collection!

https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/CategoryPage.aspx?categoryid=100010

For today's card I used the Blossoming Basket Bundle, which you can earn for FREE if you spend $100 or more.  The Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder is the BEST!!!  You will want to add this your collection for sure!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Set ~ Blossoming Basket
Other Supplies :  Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, Shimmering Ribbon Pack Bermuda Bay

Doesn't this just scream spring?!?!  I love the Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay together...they are so cheerful!  I am hoping for more spring like weather here soon.  We had a few warmer days and then it snowed!  Crazy weather!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start so far and you get some stamping time in!  I have a long weekend, so there will definitely be some stamping for me!

Happy Stamping!

Hello happy stampers!!!  Welcome to Tuesday and an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.  I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for fun sketches to help me get the creative juices flowing!
This is a great sketch and can be used with SO many different stamp sets!  I am horrible about making masculine cards...I never have enough on hand!  So I'm doing my best to try and make more masculine cards for all of the awesome guys in my life!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, True Gentleman DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide
Stamp Set ~ Truly Tailored

Freshly Made Sneakers

Happy Sunday stampers! Have you all had a great weekend?  As always, ours has been busy!  Our Saturday was full of sports...which is how our Saturday's will be until the middle of summer, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am supposed to be cleaning house and working on taxes today, but I got a little distracted when I started cleaning my craft room and decided my time would be better spent playing along with this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch!

A friend requested a fun card for her niece who will be turning 9 this week.  This sketch was a fun way to use some of the awesome Bubbles & Fizz DSP along with my favorite Epic Celebrations stamp set, both from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I just LOVE those sneakers!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Bubbles & Fizz DSP, Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper
Ink ~ Memento, Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends, Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Sets ~ Epic Celebrations, Number of Years, Picture Perfect Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Large Numbers Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Shapes

It's always fun to use products from different suites and make them work together.  I love that about Stampin' Up! products!

Okay, I've put it off long enough!  If I expect my father in law to help us with our taxes, I better get on it and get things gathered up for him before he leaves town tomorrow.  But then again...maybe if I wait, I could use it as an excuse to take a trip down to the Oregon Coast...hmmmm ;)

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

I had my monthly stamp class on Friday and Sunday and decided to be brave and use the awesome new Brusho Crystal Colour.  I was a bit hesitant to use it at first given the fact that I made a HUGE mess the first time I used it, but decided to just go for it!

My stampers LOVED it!!  It was so much fun seeing how different everyone's was and how much fun they all had using it.  I'm so happy I decided to use it :-)  Paired up with the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, it makes for an... Petal Palette Prayers

Hello stampers!  How is your weekend treating you so far?

Our Saturday has been a busy one, but I'm finally home and enjoying a little stamping time while my boys are burning off some energy outside before it gets dark.  You would think after soccer and basketball games that they would be tired, but they are still running around and giving me more gray hairs by climbing on top of our chicken coop...crazy boys!!!!!

In an effort to not lose my mind watching them from my office window, I decided to color the beautiful images from Petal Palette.  I swore I was done buying from the Occasions Catalog, but after seeing the beautiful card that Stesga Bloodhart made, I just HAD to get the set so I could CASE her creation!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black,  Calypso Coral,Petal Passion DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends: Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Petal Palette, Colorful Seasons, Rose Wonder
Other Supplies ~ Petals & More Thinlits, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Aren't the roses beautiful?  And the sentiments...they were just what I was needing for two special cards that need to be sent out this week.

I'm happy I had some time to make more than just a simple card today :-)  And even more thankful for warmer and longer days and for boys who love to be outside!  We are all counting down the days until summer break!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Stamping

Birdhouse CASE

Hello stampers!  Happy Friday!!!

We made it through another week...yippee!! What are your plans for the weekend?  I'm kicking the weekend off with my monthly stamp club tonight...my favorite time of the month :-)  Saturday is a day full of soccer and basketball and Sunday will be full of stamping and maybe a little football.  (I'll be honest...there will likely be very little football watched by me!)

Some days I get a little stumped with my stamping...I know it happens to all of us at some point!  When I'm in a slump, I turn to the catalogs for some inspiration and often times CASE a card that I love.  And that's just what I did today!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes
Ink ~ Memento Black, Stampin' Blends, VersaMark, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Flying Home, Wood Words
Other Supplies ~ Whisper White Bakers Twine, White Embossing Powder

Aren't those bird houses so cute?!?  And what about that fun preprinted card base?!?!  You can earn that for FREE with a $50 purchase between now and March 31st!  Ask me how!

I changed things up a bit from the card that is in the Occasions Catalog on page 41, but that's what CASE'ing is all about.  You can make it exactly the same or you can change it up a little!  Either way, the catalogs are a great source of inspiration whenever you may be in a creative slump!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!  I'm hoping I'll be back again tomorrow with another edition of Simple Saturday stamping :-)

Happy Stamping!
