So Much Love

We have a beautifully bold Color Challenge this week over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  What will you create with Night of Navy, Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock?

We have been reminded lately that we need to be so much more intentional with letting important people in our lives know just how much we love and care about them.  Love For You is the perfect stamp set for this!
I stamped the flowers, tone on tone, in Berry Burst and the leaves in Pretty Peacock.  Sticking with the color combination, I stamped the center in Night of Navy.

The sentiment was also stamped in Night of Navy on Basic White and die-cut with a Night of Navy die-cut background.  A few Night of Navy hearts helped tie everything together.  The only embellishments needed were a few Gold Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Are you a fan of bold colors like these?  Share with us what you are inspired to create with them!

Happy Stamping!

Sweet Thoughts

Welcome to the latest and greatest Monday Montage Blog Hop!

Life has been a bit out of sorts lately for our family and we've had a mess of wintery weather, which has left me feeling kind of blah.  Thankfully, stamping is a true therapy for me, and thanks to a couple of snow days, I was able to dig in to more of the new products from the January-April Mini Catalog!

Have you seen the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating Cards & Envelopes?  These are the BEST for creating quick, easy and SUPER cute cards!
I cut the Cards & Envelopes cards down to the standard 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" for these cards, but check back later this week for a couple cards with the larger card bases!

For the first card, I cut down one of the envelopes, which has this beautiful floral image on the inside.  I used the floral image as a layer, followed by the adorable Pecan Pie heart pattern.  The globe and sentiment were on one of the cards, which I fussy cut to piece together individually. A cute little heart from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers was the perfect little embellishment.

Next up I a super simple card, again using the inside of one of the envelopes.  I simply cut the sentiment from a card and added the butterfly sticker.  Easy peasy!

I used one of the Memories & More cards as a base later, punching the sunny floral pattern with the circle punch and adding You Are My Sunshine from another card.  A few gold Pastel Sequins added just the right amount of glimmer.

And for the last card...the paintbrush!  I bought this card pack just for this paintbrush.  It's so cute!   The Basic White layering is the only cardstock I used for these cards.  Can you believe it?!?  I added the row of Calypso Coral flowers along the edge and punched a cheerful polka dot circle, followed by the paint brush sticker.  The sentiment and butterfly stickers were added, along with a few other single flower stickers.
A little tip when using the stickers with Dimensionals on your cards...use the embossing buddy on the back of the stickers to remove the stickiness.  This will prevent the edges from sticking the card base once they are sent in an envelope!

Thanks for hopping along with us!

Let's Eat Cake

Hooray! We've made it to Friday and an all new TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge!  Any day is a good day for cake, right?!?

I knew right away that I needed to use Earthen Elegance DSP to create a cake for this challenge!  Some may see dripping paint, but I saw yummy frosting in this pattern!

I created my own paper version of chocolate ganache by coloring the "frosting" on the top tier with the Deep Tone Natural Tone Stampin' Blends then coating it in a layer of glue with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Some Distressed Gold Sentimental Park Dies flowers made the perfect cake topper

A cake stand was made using the sundae dish from the Share a Milkshake Dies.  Isn't it fun to find different uses for dies?  The Painted Texture 3D embossing folder adds a little more frosted texture to the card.

Let's Eat Cake is probably my favorite sentient from Heartfelt Hexagons!  With a few stamped and fussy cut hearts and flowers tucked behind, it's a beautiful cake that looks good enough to eat!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mountain Views

Welcome to our first Around the World On Wednesday hop of 2024!  Today we are all sharing projects inspired by this fun sketch.  You are going to love what you see as you hop along!

This fun and unique sketch was so much fun to create with. I love the split colors in the background!

I created a square scene with the beautiful Forever Forest stamp set and dies. The mountains were die-cut from Crumb Cake.  I colored the mountaintops with the dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend to add a bit more depth.  Some Lost Lagoon trees were tucked behind...they remind me of a Blue Spruce!  A couple of die-cut pine trees were added to the outside of the frame, along with a simple sentiment from Charming Sentiments.  The only embellishment needed was a white bakers twine bow!

Be sure to make your way through the entire hop to see what everyone has to share  today!  Next up is Cheryl Hamilton of Create with Cheryl.

Thankful Notes of Nature

So many first for 2024!! Today is the first Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge of the year and it is full of so much inspiration!

I am not a fan of snow, especially when it's snow after Christmas!  So I pulled my inspiration from the blueberries as I dream of warm summer days.

Since I don't have any blueberry stamp sets, I pulled the colors from the image into the almond tree branch.  I absolutely love the collage style of stamping that comes with the Notes of Nature and Lovely & Sweet stamp sets.  It's so much fun creating a Night of Navy stamped background with all of the different images.

The hole-punch and tab dies are so awesome and prefect for adding a little extra something to any project.  A little piece of Azure Afternoon peeking around the edges brought all of the blues together.

Be sure to play along and share what you have been inspired to create!

Dad's Trusty Toolbox

The Monday Montage crew is back with the first hop of 2024!  We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

With the New Year comes my dad's birthday and it was a big on this year...70!  The Trusty Tools bundle was meant just for my dad!  I can't count the number of times my dad has shown up with his own trusty tool box to help with a project over the years.  He always knows just what to do and has just the right tool to fix anything!

I snipped some Trusty Toolbox DSP tools to fill a wooden diet tool box.  This old wooden toolbox also brings memories of my grandpa's old tool box!  I stamped the Dad segment in Lost Lagoon, fussy cutting around each letter.  Happy Birthday comes from Waves Inspiration, the perfect sized sentiment to tuck in with the tools.

A gift card holder was adhered to this inside.  I love this quick and easy way to git a gift card!

Nature's Birthday Sweetness

Welcome to the first TGIF Challenges Color Challenge of 2024.  We have the perfect color combo to celebrate the New Year and all of the celebrations to come this year!

I love to build up my birthday card stash at the beginning of the year, so I took this challenge as a fun opportunity to play with one of my favorite suites in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.

Nature's Sweetness DSP is full of beautiful patterns with gold mixed in, which was perfect for this challenge.  I heat embossed a Basic Black Deckled Circle as well as the sentiment to bring in some silver, as well as a couple of little Notes of Nature Flowers.
I pulled the gold strands of thread from the Gold & Vanilla Ribbon to tuck behind the  almond tree branch and added a few silver Festive Pearls. Now...who will be the lucky recipient of this card this year?!?
