A Little Birdie Told Me...

Happy New Year's Eve to all of my stamping friends!  Any fun and fabulous plans in store for all of you tonight?  I have big plans of hanging in my pj's with my hubby and boys, eating yummy snacks, playing games and watching movies...and ringing in the New Year with all of my east coast friends so I can be in bed an asleep by 10:00 :-)

Not only is today NYE, but it's also time for a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  This time around we have an inspiration challenge for you...
As soon as I saw these pretty little love birds, I was immediately inspired to play with the cute Valentine's Day set Love You More.  The little bird is just too ca-YOOT!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Fresh Prints DSP Stack
Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Real Red
Stamp Set ~ Love you More
Other Supplies ~ Owl Punch (little hearts), Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape

I'm lovin' these bright and cheery colors for Valentine's Day!!!

Be sure to check out with the rest of the fabulous design team was inspired to create and don't forget to play along!

As we wrap up 2013 and look towards 2014, there are so many things I would like to do.  While I'm not big on making resolutions I do like to set goals.  While my biggest goal for 2014 is to set a new 1/2 marathon PR, I have crafting goals as well...the biggest one being making over my craft room/office.  In the past 2-1/2 years of being a SU! demo, I have accumulated quite a LOT of stuff and have filled my current crafting area to the max.  So, my "goal" is to kick my hubby out of my office and take over his office space :D  (Don't worry, we are working on his hunting room too, so he'll have his own space too!)  Another goal I have is to submit projects for the Artisan Design Team again...you'll never win if you don't keep trying, right?  Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and success in making your own resolutions or goals a success!

Happy New Year and Happy Stamping!!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from my family to all of my stamping friends and your families!  I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family and friends, far and near.
I'm sneaking in a quick post this morning before the rest of my house wakes up...which will be earlier than normal, I'm sure!  This is my Christmas card this  year...using MDS of course!  I don't know about you, but I was running short on time this year and MDS helped me get my Christmas cards done and in the mail in no time!

We had some family pictures done this year and as always, we had some funny outtakes. As soon as I saw some of them, I knew I wanted to use them for our Christmas cards this year!  The front of the card shows us as a sweet, mellow calm, loving family...but then you flip it over and see our true CRAZY family!  Love it!

Sending you all Merry Christmas hugs and blessings for the New Year to come!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving all of your love...you are the ones who keep me crafting!

Happy Stamping!

I'm Dreaming of a White{tail} Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve to all of you!!!  Are you all finished with your Christmas preparations or are you scrambling like me to finish up all of the last minute details?  I always say I'm going to stay caught up and not get all stressed out come Christmas Eve, but I've yet to make that happen.  But it is what it is and all will be happy in the end, no matter what!

My twin boys and I spent some time together over the weekend making cards for my hubby.  Anyone who knows my husband knows that he is an AVID hunter, which I believe is genetic, because all three of my boys talk of nothing but hunting too!  So, of course we had to make cards using the big ol' buck from Remembering Christmas.
Inspired by the awesomely talented Erica Cerwin, I cased her card with a little added twist of my own...
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Natural Composition DSP, Very Vanilla, Season of Style DSP, Etcetera DSP
Ink ~ Cherry Cobbler, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Remembering Christmas, Christmas Messages
Other Supplies ~ Labels Collection Framelits, Linen Thread, Whisper White Embossing Powder

Aidan searched Pinterest and found a design he wanted to copy and came up with this card....
And Hunter did some Pinterest searching of his own and designed this card.  He loved using the distressing tool!!!
They are both so proud of their cards and can not wait to give them to their Daddy tomorrow morning when he gets home from work.

Tonight we will join our fire family for a festive dinner at the fire station...our second year in a row of doing this.  I love the bond that my husband has with all of his brothers and how our families have all become one big blended family.  I don't think one every truly understands the whole "brotherhood" of a fire or police department until you become a part of that family.  Warms my heart and makes me smile.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Stamping!

Bark the Hearld...

...Angels sing!

Happy Saturday friends!  Only 4 more days until Christmas...yikes!  I'm hoping to muster up enough energy tonight after my boys go to bed and tackle the task of wrapping presents.  I usually never wait this long to wrap them, but time has simply gotten away from me this year!

I am just about done with all of my Christmas crafting for the year, but still have a few more fun cards to share with you.  While I did use all SU! paper, ink and embellishments, today's card is made with some of the cute Come All Ye Faithful stamp set and additions from Papertreyink.  I just couldn't resist these cute little pups!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Modern Medley
Ink ~ Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Soft Suede, Jet Black StazOn
Stamp Sets ~ Oh Come All Ye Faithful and Additions*
Other Supplies ~ Oval Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon

I just love the little mini weenie with the lights in his mouth...he makes me SMILE!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and spending time with your family and friends enjoying the holiday season!

Hugs and Happy Stamping!

For My Sk8er Boys

Happy Thursday friends!  Today is an extra special day...it's my babies birthday!  8 years ago today, in the very early hours of the morning, I became a momma for the very first time and felt a love like no other when I first saw these sweet little men.  It is so hard to believe just eight short years ago they were small enough to fit inside their stockings.
Look at them now!

I can not be more proud of these two boys and the young men they are growing up to be!  They test my patience and drive me bonkers some days, but at the end of each day when we are snuggled up watching a show or reading before bed, all of those crazy moments are erased from my mind and my heart is bursting with love.  Ok, I've to got to stop because I'm going to start crying...again!  Happens every year :)
As you can see they love their skateboards, so I just had to make them a skateboard birthday card.  I'm getting a little more brave with my Silhouette, so I thought I would pull a few MDS images over and cut them out.  Thank you to all who post YouTube tutorials...you save me every single time I pull my Silhouette out!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Gray, Whisper White, Kaleidoscope DSP*
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Set ~ Gorgeous Grunge
Other Supplies ~ Neutrals Candy Dots, On Film Framelits*, MDS/Silhouette
*2014 Occasions Catalog available 1/3/14

Every year I tell myself I'm going to make them totally different birthday cards, but in the end I always end up making them one that is the same, but just a bit different.  It's a twin thing ;)  And it saves me from what ever argument may come out of them receiving different cards ;)

Time to get the birthday boys out of bed and ready for school.  I've got a special birthday breakfast planned for them, along with a few other surprises during the day!

Happy Stamping!

Goodie Bags Galore!

Hi friends!  It's two for Tuesday...two posts that is!  I've also got some fun goodie bag ideas for you.  I have been up to my eyeballs in goodie bags for the past few days.  Between some special requests for M&M treat bags, cookie bags and goodie bags I've gone through just about every single treat bag I had on hand and just as much ribbon and bakers twine!  But to end up with so many cute little goodie bags, it's all worth it!

The 1"x8" cellophane bags stuffed with M&M's make for great stocking stuffers or tags on your Christmas packages or a fun little gift for your kids to give to their teachers.
And the 4" x 6" cellophane bags are perfect for a small little cookie or candy bag.  These cute little snowman cookie bags will be school birthday treats for my twin boys on Thursday :)  I can't get away with store bought treats anymore...my boys won't allow it!
And we can't forget the awesome little Muslin bags!!!  My boys love little bags like this, so I though they would make for fun goodie bags for their friends who attend their birthday party later this week.  With just a few polka dots and a fun little thank you tag, the bag is complete!

I love all of the fun products that Stampin' Up! has to offer to help package up little treats in such a fun and easy way!

I hope I've INKspired you to create some fun goodie/treat bags today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping

A Day at the Lake

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a great weekend!!!  Mine was a busy one and I sure could have used a few more hours of sleep today!

Before I get to today's scrapbook sketch for Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, I have the winner of the BLOG CANDY from Thursday's Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop.  The winner is....Ladette!!!!!  Congratulations Ladette :)  I'll be in touch later today to get your address so I can get your goodies sent to you!  Thanks to everyone who left me some love!

Ok, on to Decembers sketch...

Once again I used MDS...the only way I scrap these days!  I have another page to add to our family yearbook.  These fun pictures are from my boys' trip to Yale Lake with my hubby for their annual boys trip.  Each year my hubby and I each take them on a special trip.  I usually take them to the beach and my hubby took them to the lake with some fellow co-workers and their kids.  I am pretty bummed I missed out on this trip because they had so much fun.  Rumor has it I may be invited along next year ;)

I used a photo for my background paper...something I love to do.  Once small piece of DSP, a few paper filled punches and my page was done!  My book is close to being completed for this year and I'll soon be able to print it.  I can't wait!

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT and their awesome pages.  And we would love to have you join us and play along!

I hope I've INKspired you to CREATE today!

Happy Stamping!

Hooray for...

...NEW stamps!!!  My box of pre-order goodies showed up on Thursday and I've been itching to get my hands on it!  As soon as my son went down for his nap this morning, I headed down to my craft room and tore into the box.  It is way too cold to I was inspired by this weeks Mashup Challenge over at Friday Mashup...they have a fun sketch this week along with the challenge to use Window/Transparency Sheets.
After seeing this sketch, I knew the first new set I wanted to break out was Geometrical along with the fun new coordinating Triangle Punch.  Don't worry, you'll all be able to get your hands on these goodies soon!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Gold Foil, Window Sheet, Kaleidoscope DSP
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, Metallic Gold

Other Supplies ~ Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape, Gold Bakes Twine, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Triangle Punch

I created a fun little shaker window and filled it full of punched paper...makes for a fun birthday card or a just because card to send to your BFF!

I was soooo happy to see more GOLD!  I love, love, LOVE it!!

Be watching for more sneak peeks of new items coming out in the 2014 Occasions Catalog...you're gonna love them!

As much as I would like to stamp the day away, my time is up and we must bundle up and head out for some brother birthday and Christmas shopping...an annual tradition my twins love.  We take them out individually and they get to shop for each for their birthday and Christmas.  It's fun to spend time with them one on one and it is always fun to see what they gift they choose for each other.

Stay warm and Happy Stamping!
