A CASE of Sweet Strawberry Birthday Wishes

Hello and happy Sunday!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and sneaking in a little creative therapy.  It has been a busy weekend so far, but I did still manage to get some of my own creative therapy and played along with the latest Global Design Project Challenge.  This week is CASE the Designer Janneke de Jong.
I addition to CASEing Janneke, I'm also bringing in a little Krista Frattin of Stampin' Dolce.  The Sweet Strawberry projects she has created this past month have been gorgeous!
I stamped the sweet strawberry vines in VersaMark and heat embossed them in White.  I added a light layer of Pool Party ink with the amazing new Blending Brushes, along with a few Pool Party Splatters to create the perfect background for a sweet and juicy strawberry.

The strawberry was stamped in Poppy Parade, topped with a Granny Apple Green stem, a few Garden Green leaves and a couple Petal Pink blooms.  Anyone else craving strawberries now?!?!
The sweet strawberry was layered on top of a simple strip of Berry Delightful DSP and topped off with a bold sentiment heat embossed in white on Basic Black.  A few Artistry Blooms sequins in the center of the flowers and this sweet card is complete!

I think we are wrapping up the end of our winter weather and easing into spring.  I can't wait for my own little strawberry patch to be filled with sweet berries again soon!

Happy Stamping!

Mini Sweet Strawberry Basket

Hi friends!  It has been a long time since I've created a 3D project and I am so excited to share this cute little creation with you!  After following along with The Crafty Carrot Collective on social media, I decided to {finally} subscribe and I am SO HAPPY that I did!  The four talented stampers who run the group are amazing and offer up the best.projects.EVER!

This month focused on 4 different stamp sets that could be used for birthday's, which included the adorable Sweet Strawberry.  The amazing Krista Frattin of Stampin' Dolce created the cutest berry basket, which I have recreated in a mini version.
I am horrible about hoarding any retired packaging items and they often sit, unused in my storage closet.  My hoarding paid off once again, as these little retired Kraft boxes were just the right size for 3 mini berries.  I was going to cut the flaps off, but the top flap made the perfect place for an itty bitty banner.  So cute!

Krista used 6"x6" sheets of DSP to create her sweet strawberries, which were big enough to hold some sweet treats.  Since I absolutely LOVE this DSP, I was running pretty short on the strawberry seed pattern and had only a few 3"x3" pieces to work with.  I'll admit, it was a bit tricky at first to fold and cut these little things out, but after a couple practice runs on some alternate DSP, I figured it out!  I think these MIGHT be big enough to put one small candy it...maybe!  I was too excited to put them together to worry about finding something to put in them.

If you haven't checked out The Crafty Carrot Collective yet, find them on Facebook or Instagram. They are a great source of inspiration and you won't be disappointed if you subscribe!

Happy Stamping!

Simply Extraordinary Succulents

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!  We have an all new Inspiration Challenge for you over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I don't know about you, but I LOVE cacti and succulents!
I was inspired to ink up and color the beautiful Simply Succulents stamp set...because you all know that coloring is my jam! I pulled colors from the Flowering Cactus Product Medley for all of the different succulents.  I was going to add the little pot as well, but liked them all on their own.
I stamped the the Birch background in Smoky Slate, then added a Brick & Mortar frame.  The succulents were added, along with an EXTRAORDINARY sentiment, which I fussy cut and broke apart across the card.  A simple little Calypso Coral Linen Thread from the Flowering Cactus Product Medley was the perfect final touch.

Once again, I am reminded of summer with this stamp set.  I can't wait to see how my succulent garden faired the winter weather.  I'm crossing my fingers that they all survived!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Misty Moonlight Dragonflies ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome back to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We're happy you've joined us!

Anyone else longing for spring and summer?  After a week of snow and frigid temperatures, I can not wait for warmer weather, sunshine, flowers and dragonflies!  I have been working on my flower garden plans and will be planting some flowers that attract butterflies.  Some of my seed packets were inspiration for today's card.
I stamped the floral image in Memento, coloring the flowers in summery shades of Mango Melody, Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight, Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive.  I let the markers bleed a little bit, kind of creating a watercolor effect.  I splattered some Night of Navy ink over the top for some added texture.  Speaking of texture...do you like to tear paper to add texture to your projects?  I love how much a little tear can add to a project!
I layered a beautiful piece of Misty Moonlight Dandy Garden DSP behind the torn piece of paper and punched out a couple of dragonflies from another pattern of DSP from the pack.  I love the little tiny dragonflies!  And inspiring sentiment and simple Well Suited Twine bow finished the card off.

I know we still have a few weeks of winter ahead of us, but spring is on its way. At least it better be...soccer and baseball start soon.  Hooray!!

Happy Stamping!

Sharing the {Freakin'} Love ~ February 2021 Control Freaks Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the February edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop wjere we are sharing the love!  You may have arrive here from the marvelous Melissa Stout of The Stamp Doc or you may just be starting...either way, make sure you make you way through the whole line-up.  You won't be disappointed!

After sharing lots of love last week for Valentine's Day, I decided to share some love in a little different way...with turtles!  I LOVE the Whale of a Time DSP.  The colors in this pack of paper are so bright and beautiful.  The cute little turtles is one of my favorite patterns in the pack, especially when you can fussy cut the little guys out.
It's always so great when you can let the DSP make the card. The ONLY stamping on this card is the sentiment, which I heat embossed on another pattern of the DSP.  How fun is that?!?!
Of course I had to add a few Whale of a Time Sequins to finish the card off.  The  little clam shells are the cutest!

Next up is some good ol' Snail Mail to send out some love!  And guess what???  There is NO stamping on this card...not one bit of ink!  I put my fussy cutting skills to the test once again to cut out the mushrooms and HELLO word bubble.
Our funny little snail friend was cut from the Snail Mail DSP with the Snail Dies.  All of the cut out pieces were layered on a few different patterns of more Snail Mail DSP...this stuff is the BEST.  I added some white Snail Mail Twine to wrap it all up.  So cute!
Next up on our hop is the creative Connie BabbertDon't you just love her creations?!?!
Thanks for hopping along with us this month!  Leave us a little love along the way!

Happy Stamping!

Sale-A-Brating Berry Delightful Blessings ~ #TGIFC304

We made it to Friday in a hurry this week!  Between Monday being a holiday and Tuesday being a snow day, my week has FLOWN by...no complaints here!
As always, Friday means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  With Sale-A-Bration quickly coming to an end, we are focusing on some of our favorite freebies!
The Berry Blessings bundle is, by far, my favorite Level 2 freebie in the Sale-A-Bration catalog this year.  I love the fruity stamps and yummy coordinating Designer Series Paper.  I'm crossing my fingers that this bundle just might carry over...anyone else hoping for that as well?
This stamp set and DSP has made me fall in love with Pacific Point again.  This is a color that I had ignored for a while, but now I can't stop using it!  I stamped the juicy berries in Pacific Point with a Granny Apple Green branch, which I fussy cut and tucked behind the sweet heat embossed sentiment. A few more blueberries in the background complimented the fun blueberry and plaid patterns of DSP.
I wrapped this all up with a pretty bow using the Whisper White Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and a few Artistry Blooms sequins.

What are your favorite Sale-A-Bration items this year?!?  I can't wait to see what you share with us!

Happy Stamping!

Comfort & Hope

What do you do when you have nearly two feet of snow on the ground?  Spend the day stamping, of course!
I've been neglecting my Annual Catalog stamp sets lately, so I pulled out a couple that I had yet to use and had some fun creating a few cards.

I started with a simple design of just the potted plant, a heat embossed sentiment and a few Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed sequins.
Then I decided to step the design up just a bit by adding a background stamp and a fussy cut sentiment.
And for the last one I stepped it up a bit more by fussy cutting the potted plant and popping it up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.
I always love sharing these step-up cards with my customers.  It shows that you can create something super simple or a bit more advanced and still have an amazing card to send to someone you love.

I am supposed to be working on cleaning and packing up my office out to prepare for new paint, flooring and a custom-made desk...but I'd rather stamp!  Maybe I'll make just a couple more cards, then get to work cleaning and packing!

Happy Stamping!

Butterflies On My Mind

I'm dreaming of butterflies and warm spring days...as I watch the snow get deeper and deeper by the hour!

Happy Friday friends!  Snow has finally arrived...just a little late this year.  I'm usually not a big fan of the snow, but I am enjoying it at the moment.  I'll get back to you in a few days and let you know if I'm still enjoying it!  What I am enjoying even more is a little extra time in my craft room today, especially since my Butterfly Bouquet preorder arrived this week!  This gorgeous bundle will be available to customers March 2 - May 3 2021.
Inspired by all of the amazing Artisan Design Team projects created with this bundle and this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge.
I inked up half of the Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Calypso Coral and stamped it on a piece of the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.  The beautiful butterflies were also die cut from the Butterfly Bijou.  You can cut out 6 butterflies all at one time from a sheet of DSP...it is AMAZING!!!
I cut a few little strips of other patterns of DSP, added a simple sentiment from Simply Succulents and a sweet little Linen Thread bow.  And of course I finished it off with bit of Artistry Blooms sequins!

I can't wait to share this beautiful bundle with my class next month.  They are all going to LOVE it!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

Happy Stamping!

You Make Me Happy

Another day, another Pretty Perennials Crafty Carrot Collective CASE...say that fast three times!
Cindy Schuster demonstrated a super cute card and coordinating scrapbook page over at the February 2021 Crafty Carrot Collective Birthday Collection earlier this week and I just HAD to case it.
I swapped out the DSP, using my favorite True Love Designer Series Paper.  All things black and white are my jam!

These little Pretty Perennial blooms are just so dainty and cute!  I love how they cascade down the card.
I am almost a little embarrassed to admit that I have two packages of the Artistry Blooms sequins that I had yet to use because I couldn't get past not using them with coordinating colors.  Thank you Cindy for helping me get out of my comfort zone and seeing that I CAN mix things up!

If you haven't checked out the Crafty Carrot Collective, head on over and subscribe.  You won't regret all of the amazing creativity!

Happy stamping!

Pretty Perennials Birthday Bash CASE ~ Global Design Project GDP#278

Hello friends! I hope your week has been great so far...we're half way to the weekend.  YAY!!
The amazingly talent group over at Crafty Carrot Collective hosted their 4th Birthday Bash last month and had some great projects using 4 different birthday themed stamp sets.  It was so fun to follow along and even better to have some great ideas to CASE! Today I am sharing my taken on Cindy's Pretty Perennials card, with an added Global Design Project sketch twist.
I love, love, LOVE anything with stripes, so this sketch was right up my alley! I layered stripes in colors of Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron, then got to work layering all of the floral bits and pieces that Cindy used in her project.  I added the Stitched Dies circle, which was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, to tie into the GDP sketch.  I love the added texture!
You know by now that I love to fussy cut, so I was oh-so-happy to cut out the heat embossed HAPPY.

Don't you just love the tone on tone Crumb Cake blooms in the background?  I need to remember to use this technique more often!

I'm so happy you stopped by today!  Be sure to check back again soon for another fun Crafty Carrot Collection CASE!

Perennial Birthday Wishes ~ HSSCC#357

Hooray!!! It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge! This week we have a bright and beautiful Color Challenge for you to play along with.

I was thinking Valentine's Day at first with these fun colors, but quickly changed gears after spotting Pretty Perennials sitting on my desk.  There is nothing better than bright and colorful flowers to spread a little birthday cheer!
I inked up the biggest bloom in Real Red and the smaller bloom in Blushing Bride.  A fun splash of Bermuda Bay was used to ink up the little accent flowers, along with a bit of Granny Apple Green for the leaves.
I love the big HAPPY sentiment, which is so much fun to heat emboss in white on Basic Black and fussy cut!  BIRTHDAY was also heat embossed on a small strip of Basic Black as well.
The flowers and sentiments were layered on top of my favorite Love You Always Specialty DSP.  You can never go wrong with black and white with bright, bold colors!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Basic White, Love You Always DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Blushing Bride, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Memento, Versamark
Stamp Set ~ Pretty Perennials
Other Supplies ~ Pretty Perennials Dies, White Embossing Powder

These cheerful flowers have me long for spring even more!  Sadly, we have super low temps and snow in our forecast this week.  BOO!  I'm really hoping that it's short lived and spring is just around the corner!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will join us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and play along with us!

Happy Stamping!

Hopping By To Say... ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome back to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We're happy you've joined us!

I am a sucker for any stamp set that can be colored with the Stampin' Blends, so Kangaroo & Company was definitely a must have for me!  This is a great bundle that will work for so many different occasions!
With Valentine's Day coming up, I went with the cute little hearts.  I stamped several in the background and colored them in shades of Real Red, Rococo Rose and Flirty Flamingo.  These were framed in a Basic Black frame made using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.
I stamped and die cut a momma kangaroo, along with a cute little Joey.  Did you know that the momma kangaroo has a little slit at the top of her pouch?!?  You can put a cute little message in the pouch and add a topper of your choice.  So cute!!  Both momma and baby were both  colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.
I added a little Real Red Resin Heart in the Joey's paws....awwwww!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Basic Black, Basic White
Ink ~ Rococo Rose, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Real Red, Rocco Rose, Flirty Flamingo, Cinnamon Cider
Stamp Sets ~ Kangaroo & Company
Other Supplies ~ Resin Hearts, Kangaroo Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies

This cute little card will be on it's way to some of our sweet friends this week for Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!
