Copper Feather Thank You ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

It has been a soggy, foggy weekend in my parts of the world...yuck!  I am NOT ready for this weather.  We had plans to go to the corn maze and pumpkin patch with some friends, but due to the weather and some kiddos who weren't feeling 100%, we opted to stay at home where we would be warm and dry.  My boys and I spent most of Saturday playing games, watching movies and playing with our new chickens!!!

We got 6 new Silkie chickens yesterday and we are so in love with them!  Not only are they super cute and fluffy, but they are super affectionate and love to be held.  The boys and I spent quite a bit of time loving on these new chicks, naming them and making sure the older ones weren't being too mean.  You will never fully understand the meaning of pecking order until you have chickens ;-)  I'm officially a crazy chicken lady!

Today I'm sharing with you a thank you card I will be sending out to the kind family who gave us these new chickens.

Moroccan Sympathy

Brace yourselves...hold on to your hats...are you ready?!?!

Guess what I did today?!?!  I STAMPED and I'm blogging!!!  Not just one card was made, but multiple cards that were NOT for a scheduled blog post.  These days, this seems to be a rare occasion and I am LOVING it!  Mind you, I was supposed to spend the day outside cutting back all of my plants for the fall, but I got too cozy in my craft room and decided they could wait for another day!

I just recently got some items from the Moroccan Suite and decided to pull them out today.  I love the warm colors in the Moraccan DSP...perfect for fall!

I used the latest Freshly Made Sketches sketch to help get me started.  Their sketches never let me down!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Very Vanilla, Moroccan DSP
Ink ~ Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy
Stamp Sets ~ Moroccan Nights, Feather Together
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles, In Color Enamel Shapes

I'm going to see if I can crank out a few more cards before I have to go pick up my older boys from a birthday party...wish me luck!

Humerus Halloween

Happy Tuesday stampers!

I'm happy to report I survived Monday and my vacation hang over!  There were a few iffy moments, but I pulled through ;-)

Thankfully I had this awesome new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge # 249 to help me get my Tuesday started off on the right foot too!. This week is looking pretty great!

I don't know what it is about Halloween that I love so much, but I have more Halloween stamp sets and decorations than I do Christmas.  I could NOT resist Mr. Funny Bones in this years Holiday Catalog, especially since I work closely with the orthopedic department at the clinic I work for.  This card will be sent to their department soon!

Paper ~ Basic Black, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Halloween Night Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Mr. Funny Bones

Isn't Mr. Funny Bones great?  I may have to make a Dr. Funny Bones next!

Something Good to Eat ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Nothing like being thrown back in to reality the second you get home from vacation!  Before we left, our dishwasher had a leak, which we took care of and cleaned up the mess.  A few days in to our trip, our house sitter sent me a message and said our kitchen floors were warping.  Nothing like getting news like that while on vacation!  We got home and found that a section of our hardwood floors had indeed warped due to water damage from the dishwasher leak.  My hubby pulled up a few boards right away so we could walk through the kitchen without tripping over the worst of the flooring that had lifted and spent most of Sunday pulling up the rest.  I'm not sure if we want to call it lucky or not, but the previous owners had not properly glued the hardwood which made it much easier to tear up. Yet, had they properly installed it, we would have likely not had as much damage as we did.  We are thankful it was just a small section and not the entire floor!

Needless to say, I didn't get much stamping done upon our return, but September's Paper Pumpkin came to my rescue and I made a few cute cards to share with you today!

Paper ~ Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink ~ Old Olive

How in the world is it October already?!?!   Didn't summer JUST start?   I don't know about you, but time has gone by WAY too fast for me this year!  I am not a fan of the cooler temps and gloomy days that will soon be upon us, EXCEPT for the fact that it means less to do outside and more time to be spent in my craft room.

With fall comes hunting season, which means the hubby is gone quite a bit and takes the twins when he can.  So I took full advantage of the big boys being gone and my youngest having some quiet time today and got my fingers inky and made a mess of my craft desk!
