Colorful Springtime Joy ~ #HSSCC360

Welcome to the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!  This week we have a beautiful spring time Color Challenge for you.  We can't wait to see what you are inspired to create!
Easter is quickly sneaking up on me!  I figured I better get busy and get a few cards made and this color challenge was perfect!

I created a soft Pool Party background using my new favorite tool...the Blending Brushes!  Next, I stamped the Easter Basket, a couple of spring time flowers, a butterfly and a chick then colored them all with Stampin' Blends.  (Shhhh...I used Old Olive in place of Pear Pizzazz!) The fluffy little bunny was stamped, fussy cut and popped up with a few Dimensionals.  I love the adorable flower crown! A little bit of Highland Heather is peaking out from behind the Basic White to add just the right amount color, breaking up the white on white.
Next up is the sweet little lamb.  This time I created a soft Pear Pizzazz grassy area, again using the Blending Brushes.  I stamped a few flowers and butterfly, coloring them in shades of So Saffron and Highland Heather.  The lamb was stamped, fussy cut and given a little Smoky Slate color, along with it's crown of flowers too. How sweet is this?!?
Finally, I brought all of the stamps together for my final card.  Once again, using the Blending Brushes, I created a springtime background, added the Easter Basket, butterfly and flowers.  The cute little bunny, lamb and chicken joined in for the sweetest card!
Yay me...I used every single stamp in this set!  That doesn't happen very often, but I love it when it does!

Have you finished your Easter creations yet? I still have a few more to go!

Don't forget to join along in the fun over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Happy Stamping!

Amazing Things ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop! Be sure to hop all the way through..you don't want to miss any of the creations from this amazing group of stampers!
Today's card comes to you thanks to this months fun Crafty Carrot Collective Classes.  The focus was on the Hydrangea Haven bundle...a bundle that I didn't like at first sight, but absolutely love now!
This card is a CASE of Susan Wong's project for the month.  I love that she opted for DSP outside of the suite and brought some other colors in.  I always go bright, colorful flowers, but there is something about a white hydrangea that I just love!  I especially love the white against a colorful watercolor background.
I created the background by using the Blending Brushes, blending shades of Just Jade, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana on a piece of water color paper.  A few splatters of Just Jade and drops of water completed the watercolor look with not as much mess.
The details in the Hydrangea Dies are amazing! Being able to pop up the flower petals and add some detailed leaves makes them so life-like!  Did you notice that I mixed Basic White and Very Vanilla?!?!  I used to be SO AFRAID of this, but now I love them together.

Thanks for hopping along with us!

Old Fashion Birthday Wishes ~ March Control Freaks Blog Hop

Welcome to an all new Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are CELEBRATING!!!  Whether you've arrived from the amazing Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics or you're just starting, don't stop until you've hit all the stops!

As we hit the one year mark of COVID shut down, things are finally starting to look up and that is a BIG reason to celebrate! My father-in-laws birthday is this weekend and I've been waiting to use the Whiskey Business stamp set just for his big day.  While we won't be celebrating together, we'll be raising a glass in a virual cheers!
Cinnamon Cider is the perfect whiskey tone, especially if you add in just a touch of So Saffron.  After stamping and coloring the decanter and glasses, I fussy cut them and layered them on a die cut Stitched Nested Labels.  I wanted a few more layers, so I brought in some Cinnamon Cider and Misty Moonlight card stock and roughed up the edges a bit.  The Cinnamon Cider layer needed a little something extra...hello Birch background stamp.  Perfection!

I finished it off with some Linen Thread, a little twist of lemon rind and the perfect sentiment!  My father-in-law is sure to love this card!

The celebrating doesn't stop here!  Head on over to the Stamp Doc Melissa Stout, and help her celebrate her birthday.  Happy Birthday Melissa!
Happy Stamping!

Have a Cool Birthday ~ #TGIFC308

Happy Friday and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenge! I can't wait to see what this weeks challenge inspires you to create
I was inspired by the watercolor wash in the photo.  At first I thought about creating something with flowers, but a couple of popsicles that I had fussy cut a few weeks ago were sitting on my desk and caught my eye.  The images from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set all have a watercolor look to them, so my inspiration took a different turn.
Using some of the fabulous Blending Brushes, I brushed some Just Jade and Bermuda Bay on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  I added a few splatters of Bermuda Bay and a couple drops of water for some "bleached out" spots.  This is such a fun way to create a watercolor background without a much mess!

The sweet popsicles were also inked up in Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay.  (My son said he bets they would taste like green apple and blue raspberry!) A bold Happy Birthday was stamped in Memento and fussy cut.  I finished it off with a Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay "You're So Cool".  A few Coastal Cabana Resin Dots and this card was complete.  (After layering a few more pieces of cardstock, of course!)

What will you be inspired to create today?

Happy Stamping!

Simple Sweet Blooming Butterflies

Hello!!  After a week of craft room chaos and renovations, I was finally able to set up a make-shift craft area and create again!  New paint and flooring have been taken care of, but I am waiting for my new desk to be built, which will hopefully be done in a few weeks.

Last week was Classified School Employee Week and our administrators showered us with appreciation, kindness and thoughtfulness all week long! From fun cards and candy to flowers and a special lunch, it was a week full of feeling so loved.  Inspired by the amazing Dena Rekow, I cased these simple sweet blooming butterflies to create the perfect thank you cards.
After die cutting the butterflies using the Brilliant Wings Dies, I stamped the flowers from Pretty Perennials in variety of bright, springy colors...Bumble Bee, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Magenta Madness.  I LOVE this color combo!  I popped the butterfly up on a few Dimensionals on a Basic White card front.
A simple thank you sentiment, heat embossed on Basic Black, and a few Matte Black Dots were added to make a bold statement on a simple card.  Thank you Dena for the beautiful inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back later this week with more to share!

Happy Stamipng!

Butterfly Simplicity ~ #HSSSC359

It's Tuesday and time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge!
What do you do when your craft room has been emptied out for renovations and is scattered throughout the house?  You pick through your box of scraps until you can piece together a card that somewhat resembles the sketch!  (Can you see me shaking my head?!?!)
I don't know that I have ever made a card without a sentiment on the front!!!  There is not one stamp or embellishment to be found on this card...who am I?!?  That's the beauty of a beautiful DSP.  You don't need anything else!  I love, love, LOVE the Butterfly Bijou DSP!

Pray that my craft room renovations go smoothly and I am moved back in soon!  I'm going to miss my morning craft therapy before work!

I hope you'll join along in the fun and share your creative inspiration over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Happy Stamping!

Let Your Light Shine ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome back to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We're happy you've joined us!

Have you ever had a stamp set that you loved in the catalog, only to get it and have NO CLUE what to do with it?  I have pulled out Campology and Pallet Thoughts stamp sets several times, but have been stumped to create anything with them...until I pulled them out together!  I finally found some inspiration!
I created a Just Jade background with the wood pallet stamp, stamping it in Just Jade and distressing the edges.  The pine trees from Campology were stamped on Old Olive, in Old Olive, with a few Old Olive splatters.  (That's a lot of Old Olive!) I roughed up the edges of this layer as well, with a little strip of woodgrain paper from In Good Taste DSP tucked in between.
I layered these on top of a piece of Basic White, all added to a Crumb Cake card base.  I finished the card off with a lantern and the thoughtful sentiment "Your Brighten My Path".  I added just a touch of So Saffron to light the lantern up.
Have you ever struggled with a stamp set, only to pair it up with another and bring them both to life?

Be sure to hop on over to the next stop on the hop and don't stop until you've made the loop.  You won't be disappointed!

Happy Stamping!

Wrapped Bouquet for You ~ #TGIFC306 Color Challenge

Hello Friday, I'm so happy to see you again!  Not only because it means the weekend is here, but because it also means an all new TGIF Challenges for you.  This week we have a bright and cheerful color challenge for you to play along with!
Don't these colors just feel like spring?!?!  We've had warmer weather and lots of sunshine this week, which sure has made it feel like spring.  Some of my flower bulbs are starting to peek out of the ground as well...I am so excited!  With all of this in mind, I was inspired to create a pretty spring bouquet using the BEAUTIFUL Wrapped Bouquet Bundle.
I inked up the bouquet of flowers with my Memento ink pad, then added some Daffodil Delight color to the beautiful blooms.  Next up was to add some cute little Gorgeous Grape die cut flowers and some Just Jade greenery.  The Basic White flower wrap was a little too "blah" for me, so I wrapped them up in Crumb Cake and finished them off with a cute little die cut tag and Just Jade ribbon.
Next up were the card base and layers of paper.  Again, a Basic White card base was just a bit too plain for me, so I added a layer of Crumb Cake with a few newsprint stamped images, also in Crumb Cake.  A Basic White panel went behind the wrapped bouquet of flowers, with just a little pop of color from a strip of Gorgeous Grape and Butterfly Bijou DSP.  A few splatters from my Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker and some sparkly Rhinestone Basic Jewels brought it all together.
I'll admit...I was a little stumped by these colors at first, but I love how they all came together here!  I hope you will join in the fun and share your creativity with this Color Challenge as well!

Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Bouquet Has Arrived!

Hello and welcome to the month of March! Today is the release date of the beautiful Butterfly Brilliance Collection.  One can never have too many butterflies, right?!?!
The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is one GIANT stamp that has all 6 butterflies in one. These butterflies can be stamped then cut out all at one time with the Brilliant Wings Dies...so easy!  There are also some beautifully detailed individual butterfly dies, as well as a few other fun bits and pieces.

I stamped half of the Butterfly Brilliance stamp along the left hand side of the card stock and added a few Coastal Cabana splatters before layering some of the gorgeous Butterfly Bijou DSP and Natural Touch Specialty Paper.  I die cut 2 Basic Black butterflies and added a simple sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.  (One can never have too many butterfly stamp sets, right?!?!)  I wasn't sure about the bold, Basic Black butterflies, but adding the Matte Black Dots helped tie it all together.
Bring a little bit of spring into your life by adding the Butterfly Brilliance Collection to your craft room!  Available now!

Happy Stamping!
