Healing Vibes ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back once again another fabulous hop for you to enjoy!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...we promise you will love them all!

I finally had a weekend where I didn't feel like I was running around non-stop and it was so NICE! My twins had a baseball tournament on Saturday, which warmed my baseball momma heart.  I haven't made it to many of their fall tournaments because I've been busy being a soccer momma too :-) My husband and I have learned our lesson this fall...3 boys in 4 different sports is TOO much.  It's a good thing our family knows how to work together as a team or we'd be defeated in a hurry!

Since we didn't have 7 million things going on this weekend, I had time to put my craft room back in order and finally unbox my last order, which may or may not have been sitting on my desk for almost two weeks.  It was kind of like Christmas opening up the box because I had almost forgotten what I had ordered.  Healing Hugs was one of the stamp sets in the box and the first one I decided to ink up {after I cleaned my office!}.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Merry Merlot, Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP
Stamp Set ~ Healing Hugs
Ink ~ Merry Merlot, Old Olive
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Frameits, Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine, Metallic Sequin Assortment, Gold Mini Sequin Trim

I absolutely LOVE Merry Merlot.  It's such a rich, bold and beautiful color!  Paired up with Old Olive and the touch of wood grain made for a beautiful combination of colors.  And aren't the Distinktive stamps amazing?!?!  I love all of the detail!

Next stop on the hop is my crafty Colorado friend Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on backwards to the amazingly talented Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Frights and Delights

Welcome to another A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  I'm so excited to be hopping with all of my creative friends again this month and sharing some alternative ideas for September's Frights and Delights Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I absolutely love creating for Halloween, so I was SUPER excited to see this months AMAZING kit!  The treat bags will be perfect to use at my upcoming Stamp Club and I'll even have a few left over for some of our special trick or treat friends!  That's a win for everyone!

One of the things I love most about the Paper Pumpkin kits each month are all of the GREAT stamps that are included in the kits.  Although some of them may not be used in the kit sample, they always spark fun ideas for alternative projects and the stamps included in this months kit did not disappoint!

I used the cute little bats, moon and star stamps to create a fun background for my card and treat box.  I used the pre-cut ghost, pumpkin and "eeeek" sentiment, then added a few extra touches with the help of the Twinkle Builder Punch and Takeout Thinlits.
The Takeout Thinlits box is my new favorite treat box.  It's just the perfect size for a spooky sweet treat!  I wrapped the box with one of the tags included in the kit and the black and sliver bakers twine, topping it off with a spooky little bat.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Paper Pumpkin Frights and Delights Kit
Ink ~ Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Paper Pumpkin Frights and Delights Kit
Other Supplies ~ Takeout Thinlits, Twinkle Builder Punch, Paper Pumpkin Frights and Delights Kit

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Please be sure to click on the links below to keep on hoppin'.  You don't want to miss out on any of the spooktacular creations!

Happy Stamping!

Bright Broadway Birthday Wishes ~ HSSCC299

Good morning stampers and welcome to Tuesday!  We made it through Monday...the rest of the week will be a piece of cake, right?!?!

This Tuesday brings an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.

I'm running a little low on birthday cards, so that's the direction I took with today's card.  I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand for all of the tween and teen friends of my boys.  The Broadway Birthday stamp set is perfect for this age range of kiddos!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape
Stamp Set ~ Broadway Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Broadway Lights Framelits Dies, Candle Embellishments, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Sweet, simple and to the point...perfect for any tween or teen who will be celebrating a birthday this year!  Should I mention the fact that having to create birthday cards for girls when I have a house full of boys kind of freaks me out?!?!  My twins will be 13 in a couple of months and girls are becoming a bit more popular in their little lives...I'm not sure this momma is ready for this!

I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!

Autumn Birthday Wishes

The first day of fall was just a couple days ago and our fall weather came right along with it!  I love having cooler mornings and evenings...and being able to open the windows at our house to enjoy the fresh air.  With cooler weather comes yummy fall foods too!  My house was filled today with the yummy aroma of taco soup and apple crisp for my momma's birthday dinner.

With the cooler temps, the leaves are quickly beginning to change color, which was the inspiration behind my mom's birthday card.  Have I mentioned how HAPPY I am to have Blackberry Bliss back in our SU world of colors?!?!  It is just so beautifully warm and perfect for fall creations!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Copper Foil Paper
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Set ~ Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Squares Framelits, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Nature's Twine, Faceted Dots, Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

I can not tell you how happy I was to find a bit of time to create today!  Last week was exhausting on so many levels and my creative time was very limited. My stamping time is a major stress relief for me and when I don't get enough time in my craft room, I definitely feel it!  Here's to hoping this week is a little less crazy and I keep my emotions in check...not an easy task with 3 buys boys in the house!

I hope you all had a great weekend and kicked off your fall festivities by doing something fun with your family or friends.

Happy Stamping!

#tgifc178 Inspiration Challenge

Hello happy stampers!  It's Friday and that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges.  This week we have an inspiration challenge for you that will hopefully help you get a jump start on your holiday prep.
Life has been crazy busy for our family and I'm not quite ready to embrace the fact that Christmas is just a little over 3 months away.  So, while I kindly ignore that little fact, I will make sure that I have some fun Halloween cards and treat bags to share with my friends this spooky season!

I haven't seen a ton of cards made with the adorable Making Every Day Bright stamp set, so I decided to ink mine up and have some fun!  All of the little light bulbs in this set are so cute and perfect for any occasion!  Isn't the little spider the best?!?  Combined with the Spooky Sweets stamp set, you can make some super fun creations!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Silver Foil
Ink ~ Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape
Stamp Sets ~ Making Every Day Bright, Spooky Sweets
Other Supplies ~ Oh My Stars Embossing Folder, Twinkle Builder, Spooky Bats Punch, Christmas Bulb Builder Punch, Basic Black Bakers Twine, Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon, Glitter Enamel Dots, Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins, 2" Circle Punch, Everyday Label Punch

Lemon Lime Twist, Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie are my go-to Halloween colors this year. They are just so yummy together!

Now that I've got a few Halloween projects behind me, I need to get to work and help my youngest decide what he's going to be for Halloween this year.  Last year we were digging through his closet the day of to come up with something and I do NOT want to deal with that stress again...LOL!!  Feel free to send any ideas my way!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Simply Thankful

Good morning stamping friends and happy Tuesday!

I was able to spend a bit of time in my craft room over the weekend creating and was inspired by some fall colors to create another card with the Country Lane Suite.  Little did I know just how much the sentiment I used would be just what I needed this week.  I am doing my best to focus on all of the good in my life and not let all of the other not-so-good things get to me.  I encourage all of my friends to do the same...what a difference it will make!

I love the Crushed Curry cotton design in the Country Lane DSP and that was my focus when I started on this card.  I had yet to play with the Galvanized Metallic paper and I can now say that it is AMAZING!  I will certainly be ordering more of this ASAP and will be keeping my fingers crossed that it sticks around after the Holiday Catalog is done!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Galvanized Metallic Paper, Country Lane DSP
Ink ~ Early Espresso, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Country Home
Other Supplies ~ Galvanized Clips, Braided Linen Trim, Tin Tile Textured Embossing Folder, Circle Punch

I am simply thankful for Stampin' Up! and the happiness it brings into my life.  We all often joke about stamping being cheaper than therapy...but often times it's no joke, but absolute reality for me.  When I'm having a crummy day, I can seek happiness in my craft room and share it with all of you.  It's really a win for everyone!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sunflower Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday stampers!  I just wrapped up my September stamp club and am enjoying a little extra free time on this Sunday afternoon.
I've been in a bit of a crafting slump this week.  It tends to happen when I have too much on my plate and not enough time to clear it all of!  Thankfully I was able to clear a few things from that plate today and had some extra time to create...after I cleaned my MESSY craft room!
I'm loving all of the black and white Buffalo Check designs I'm seeing EVERYWHERE this fall, which is the inspiration behind my card.  Sunflowers are always the last little bit of summer that hangs on as fall comes knocking on our door.  I'm still trying to hold the door shut so summer doesn't slip away, but the breezy fall mornings keep pushing the darn door open.  I guess I might as well just embrace it and enjoy it!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Country Lane DSP
Ink ~ Old Olive, Memento, Whisper White Colored Pencil, Stampin Blends:  Mango Melody, Soft Suede, Old Olive
Stamp Sets ~ Many Blessings, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Buffalo Check
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes Framelits, Leaf Punch, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Burlap Ribbons

Does my design look familiar?!?!  As I was cleaning my office, I came across this card that I made a few weeks ago to kick off the holiday catalog.  It's always fun to CASE yourself...especially when you need a little extra help in the creativity department.

I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend!  I'm going to try and sneak in one more card before we have to head out to dinner at my parents.

Have a great week!

Happy Stamping!

Frosted Wishes

Hello stampin' friends!   I finally had the chance to sit down last night to create, which is just what my frazzled mind needed!  After being gone all weekend, then being thrown right back in to the work/school/sports week, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and needed a few moments to decompress.  With the 4th quarter Stampin' Success in hand, I retreated to my craft room and found inspiration for my latest creation.

It's always a happy mail day when my Stampin' Success shows up!  It such a great source of inspiration and is full of so much great information to help us demonstrators lead a successful business!

One of the projects featured in this months edition had a beautiful card using the First Frost stamp set with the gorgeous colors Coastal Cabana, Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove.  I fell in love and had just the inspiration I needed!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Bouquet Framelits, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon

Isn't this color combination beautiful?!?!  When we have a full suite of supplies available, I often get stuck on just the colors in the DSP from the suite and have a hard time thinking outside of the box.  It's always fun to venture outside of the norm and do something different.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm hoping to get a bit more stamping time in this weekend, so be watching for more posts soon!

Happy Stamping!

Just Breath ~ HSSSC#298

Hello stampers and welcome to another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  This week we have a fun sketch for you to play along with and we can't wait to see what you create!
Knowing I was going to be out of town all weekend and away from my craft room, I quickly stamped and cut out a few different images that I could put together in our hotel room.  I kept things very simple so I did't have to bring my entire craft room with me!  I pulled out my Colorful Seasons Stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits to create todays card.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Balmy Blue, Wood Textures DSP
Ink ~ Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake
Stamp Set ~ Colorful Seasons
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Framelits, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Pearl Basic Jewels

I decided to use the little flower stamps to create the background strip rather than paper.  This was a fun alternative.

As much fun as our trip was, it's back to reality for all of us!  We still have some busy weeks ahead of us with sports, but everything else should settle down and we should be back in a more normal routine!

Be sure to join in the fun and play along with our sketch challenge this week!

My family spent the weekend in Colorado and has had a BLAST!  We flew in on Friday afternoon and spent Saturday exploring downtown Denver and visited the Aquarium. We have all fallen in love with this awesome city!  Sunday was by far the BEST day though! We got to go to the Denver Broncos game to watch my cousins husband play. What an experience!

With all of the fun we had, coffee is a MUST today!  Coffee and a fun sketch from Global Design Project helped inspire today's card.  It was fun to mix some Annual Catalog and Holiday Catalog items to create this card.
 Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Petal Pink, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, Vellum
Stamp Set ~ Coffee Cafe, Timeless Textures
Ink ~ Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Stampin' Blends:  Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake
Other Supplies ~ Corrugated Elements, Coffee Cups Framelits, Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder, Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Pretty Park Framelits

Thank you to Global Design Project for a fun sketch to help me get this project started!

Colorful Fall Blessings

Happy Friday stampers!  Our afternoons are still pretty warm right now, but the cooler mornings and evenings sure do feel like fall!

Do you know what else feels like fall?  This weeks TGIF Challenges Color Challenge!  These warm colors make me think of a trip to the pumpkin patch on a sunny fall day!
I will admit, it took me a bit to figure out which stamp set to use with this color combo, but after looking at the cute images in the Many Blessings stamp set, I couldn't resist these little pumpkins.  I added a few extra colors to the mix, but they all work together, right?
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Blends:  Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Stamp Set ~ Many Blessings
Other Supplies ~ Layering Squares Framelits, Iridescent Sequins, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Leaf Punch, Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder

It was fun to create my own background with strips of Coastal Cabana and Whisper White card stock.  This is always a fun go-to idea for me when I don't have any DSP that fits my color needs!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have all had a great week and have some fun plans in store for the weekend!   My family is headed out of town for one last adventure before we really buckle down and take on the school year.  We're headed to Denver to watch the Denver Broncos vs Seattle Seahawks game on Sunday.  We are all pretty excited to have this opportunity to watch my hubby's cousin play!

Happy Stamping!

The Most Wonderful Day of the Year

It's the most wonderful day of the YEAR!!!  The 2018 Holiday Catalog is officially live and ready for you to shop!  Who is as excited as I am about this?!?!  This catalog is FILLED with so many amazing Holiday stamp sets, papers, embellishments and SO MUCH more!  It was so hard for me to decide what I really needed...especially when I really WANT it ALL!

Farmhouse decor is totally my style these days, so naturally I was drawn to the Festive Farmhouse Suite.  The stamp set and coordinating framelits are adorable, the DSP is amazing, as are all of the happy little embellishments and ribbon.  Add the Buffalo Check stamp and I am one happy stamper!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gray Granite, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Festive Farmhouse DSP
Ink ~ Cherry Cobbler, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Farmhouse Christmas
Other Supplies ~ 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim, Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, Festive Farmhouse Elements, Farmhouse Framelits, Stitches Shapes Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlits

This Striped Burlap Trim is my favorite!  You can guarantee that I bought a few spools of this so I don't run out!  And the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine...it is SO soft!!!  It ties the perfect little twine bows!  And don't forget to add the Festive Farmhouse Embellishments for the perfect sentiment for your creation.

Now it's time for you to sit back and enjoy all that the beautiful 2018 Holiday Catalog has to offer this year!  If you would like a copy of your own, please let me know and I'll get one to you!

Happy Stamping!

Spooktacular Tricks

School is back in session and it feels like fall is on it's way.  The days are still nice and warm, but evenings and mornings are nice and cool.  While I am a summer girl at heart, I do love this time of year as the seasons begin to change!
As quickly as time seems to be passing by, I figured I better get a jump start on some of my Halloween creations.  The adorable Trick or Tweet stamp set was just too cute for me to pass up.  I mean, who doesn't love cute little animals dressed up in costumes!
Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie seem to be my go-to colors for Halloween this year.  I am so HAPPY to have Blackberry Bliss back in our color collection!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Sparkle Glimmer Paper, Country Lane DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Blackberry Bliss, Stampin' Blends:  Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, Ivory, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Set ~ Trick or Tweet
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circle Framelits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Silver Metallic Thread, Oh My Stars Embossing Folder, Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins

After coloring these cute little critters, I cut them out using the Layering Circles Frameilts.  Since I cut part of the puppy's witch hat off, I colored a second one, cut it out and glued it on so it overhangs the circle just a bit.  Adding a little strip of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper and the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins, I have just the right amount of spooktacular bling!

This is shaping up to be another busy week for my crazy family! I'm hoping to squeeze in a bit more crafting throughout the week...fingers crossed it happens!

Have a fantastic week!

Happy Stamping!
