Christmas Thank You

Hello stampers! I does not seem possible that we are already at the end of 2019...but ready or not, we will be celebrating 2020 tomorrow!  It's not only a new year, but a new decade...crazy!
Thanks to the latest Freshly Made Sketches  challenge, I was inspired to ink up one of my favorite Holiday Catalog stamp sets.

I LOVE First Frost and all of the beautiful scenes that can be created with it.  I paired it up with the festive Wrapped in Plaid DSP for the perfect Christmas thank you cards!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Wrapped in Plaid DSP
Ink ~ Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler
Stamp Set ~ First Frost, Free As A Bird

As I was typing up my supply list, it dawned on me that I didn't use anything other thank ink, stamps and paper for these cards.  That almost NEVER happens with the cards I make!  But this goes to show that you don't need any  more than the basics to create a beautiful card!

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and look forward to being inspired and creating with all of you in 2020!

Happy Stamping

Magnolia Wedding ~ HSS#322 Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  This week we have a beautiful inspiration challenge for you.m  I hope you'll join along and share with us what you were inspired to create!

I love the colors and the pretty magnolia blooms, so I pulled my inspiration from there.  I stamped the small magnolia bloom randomly across the card front, then colored each of them in Rococo Rose.  The background was a bit too white for me, so I decided to fill it in Crumb Cake to soften it up a bit.
We have a wedding to go to next weekend, so adding the Congratulations! sentiment made this the perfect card to give to our friends.  I added a few leaves using the Magnolia Memory dies and a little branch from Seasonal Layers, then finished it off with some of the beautiful Magnolia Lane Ribbon.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Ink ~ Mossy Meadow, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets ~ Good Morning Magnolia, First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Tailored Tag, Magnolia Memory, Seasonal Layers, Magnolia Lane Ribbon, Linen Thread

I'm sure you have noticed that I use my Stampin' Blends a lot!  They are my favorite coloring tool and my favorite form of creative therapy.  I always love it when my youngest joins me in a little coloring session.  It's fun to let our minds wander and conversations flow!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I had lots of craft time this weekend, so be watching for more posts this week!

Happy Stamping!

Ruffled Roses ~ #TGIFC217

It's finally Friday!!  And y'all know what that means...time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  Our team is trying out a fun technique...Ribbon Ruffles!  How many of you have spools and spools of ribbon? It's time to use it!
I used the new 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon a few days ago on another card and absolutely LOVE this ribbon!  It's ties beautiful bows, but it also makes for some pretty fantastic ribbon ruffles too!
I mentioned yesterday that I still haven't placed an order from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, other than my pre-order items.  I know, I know...I'll get on it soon!  But not having ALL of the new things is giving me the opportunity to create with some of my favorites that carried over.
First Frost is my favorite stamp set for wedding cards.  I love the soft images and all of the beautiful coordinating Frosted Bouquet Dies.
With the Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon as my staring point, I pulled a couple new In Colors and paired them up with a couple of favorites.  Getting 5 new colors each year is so good.  It's fun to come up with new color combos.  Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock paired up beautifully with Mint Macaron and Petal Pink!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron
Ink ~ Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Bouquet Dies, 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins

If only my yard was filled with flowers like this to create my own living bouquets.  I add a few new flower varieties each year in hopes of having this some day!  With that being said, the rain has gone away for a bit, which means I'm headed out to dig in the dirt for a bit!

Have a great Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Unicorn Birthday Wishes ~ HSSIC313

Hello all you happy stampers! Welcome to Tuesday and an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  We have several inspiring photos from you to choose from this week and can't wait to see what you create!

Being the mom of 3 boys, I don't have the opportunity to create many cards for girls.  So any time I am asked to make a special card for a special little girl, I am happy to jump on the opportunity!  A dear friend asked for a birthday card for her great niece who will soon be turning 4 and loves the color purple.  As soon as I saw the unicorn headband in the inspiration photos, I knew exactly what I wanted to make!
I stamped a few of the flowers from First Frost stamp set in several shades of purple, then cut them out using the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  The ears were cut using the Natures Roots Framelits.  The sentiment and a little bling were added by die cutting the pretty floral piece and words from the Well Written Framelits.  I finished off the card with some fluttery hand-drawn eyelashes and a bit of ribbon.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Gold Glimmer
Ink ~ Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (Petal Pink) Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Gold Mini Sequins, Framelits:  Frosted Bouquet, Natures Roots, Well Written

Well...how did this boy mom do on a super girly card?  I sure hope the birthday girl likes it!

What will you be inspired to create today?  I can't wait to see!

The Hand Stamped Sentiments design team is back with an all new color challenge for all of you to play along with.  I absolutely love these colors together and can't wait to see what everyone creates with it!

Stampin' Up! has a big win in my book for the amazing new Flowering Desert stamp set. Cacti seem to be popping up all over in the world of home decor and I LOVE them!  This color challenge had me reaching for this beautiful new stamp set as well as First Frost.  I am so excited this stamp set will carry over to the Annual Catalog!  Sometimes the least unexpected stamp sets pair up so well together.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mossy Meadow, Fresh Fig, Whisper White
Ink ~ Mossy Meadow, Fresh Fig, Petal Pink
Stamp Sets ~ First Frost, Flowering Desert, *
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Frosted Bouquet Framelits

*I can't remember which stamp set I pulled this birthday sentiment from!  I need to go through my sets and look, but maybe you can all help me out!  Which set is this sentiment from?!?!

Do you ever pair up stamp sets that may not seem like they will work together?  Give it a try sometime!  It's a fun way to push your creativity and you'll be surprised at what you can create.

I hope your week is off to a great start!

Happy Stamping!

Frosted Wishes

Hello stampin' friends!   I finally had the chance to sit down last night to create, which is just what my frazzled mind needed!  After being gone all weekend, then being thrown right back in to the work/school/sports week, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and needed a few moments to decompress.  With the 4th quarter Stampin' Success in hand, I retreated to my craft room and found inspiration for my latest creation.

It's always a happy mail day when my Stampin' Success shows up!  It such a great source of inspiration and is full of so much great information to help us demonstrators lead a successful business!

One of the projects featured in this months edition had a beautiful card using the First Frost stamp set with the gorgeous colors Coastal Cabana, Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove.  I fell in love and had just the inspiration I needed!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Bouquet Framelits, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon

Isn't this color combination beautiful?!?!  When we have a full suite of supplies available, I often get stuck on just the colors in the DSP from the suite and have a hard time thinking outside of the box.  It's always fun to venture outside of the norm and do something different.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm hoping to get a bit more stamping time in this weekend, so be watching for more posts soon!

Happy Stamping!

Frosted Beauty

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

When ever I get new product, I always make myself leave everything out until I have used it at least once before I put it way.  Does anyone else have fun ways of making sure they use all of their new products?!?!  The Frosted Floral Suite was quick to catch my attention and was a must have in my pre-order.  I love the dreamy watercolor floral images, which is what inspired me to make my first project I'm sharing tonight.
Aren't the flowers so pretty?!?!  And this is the first time I had used Merry Merlot...YUM!  This color is gorgeous!  The Frosted & Cleary Epoxy Droplets are the perfect finishing touch for any project with this suite!

Okay...lets talk about how amazingly beautiful the Frosted Floral Specialty DSP is!  This DSP is loaded with so many yummy colors...the creative possibilities are endless!  And to make it even better, the paper has some "frosted" shimmer to it as well.  So, with this new paper in hand, of COURSE I had to make a new banner!  If you've been following me for a while, you know that cute banners are my way of dressing up my desk at work or my mantle at home.
I stamped several of the floral images in a variety of colors that coordinate with the DSP and layered them in little mini bouquets on each banner.  I added a few of the Epoxy Droplets and the Iridescent Boxwood Wreath Embellishments for just the right amount of bling.
This suite is one of favorites in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  Well...one of my favorites!  I pretty much love EVERYTHING in this catalog!
 Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz, Tranquil Tide, Gray Granite, Sparkle Glimmer Paper, Frosted Floral Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Merry Merlot, Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets, Iridescent Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments, Frosted Bouquet Framlits, Silver & Whisper White Bakers Twine

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!
