Let's Hang Out Soon ~ HSSCC#336

Hi stampers!  How are you all doing?  I know that there are a lot of uncertainties in our lives right now, but one thing that will remain the same is our creativity!
Hand Stamped Sentiments  has a cheerful Color Challenge for you to play along with this week.  Take advantage of some of that extra time you have at home and join us!

Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration...this always makes me sad.  There is just never enough time to create with all of the fun FREE items you can earn!  I think one of my favorite sets this year is Rise & Shine. I am crossing my fingers that this adorable stamp set finds its way into our 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!
I stamped one of the cute little mugs in Daffodil Delight and the other in Poppy Parade, which I stamped off once to add some happy little flowers!  The little tea tag and sentiment were stamped in Pool Party and I added another splash of Daffodil Delight in the background.
Some fun textures were added with the Coastal Weave and Ornate Floral (coming soon!) 3D embossing folders.  In true Craft-somina Momma fashion, I added a little bit of bling with the Silver Metallic Thread and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  And I can't forget the Daffodil Delight Starburst...it's like a burst of sunshine with your coffee or tea!

I know many of us are hoping to "hang out soon" with our family and friends that we have had to distance ourselves from.  I pray that the spread of this awful virus will slow soon and we can ease our way back in to our normal lives.  But for now, I will enjoy my time at home and my extra stamping time.

Happy Stamping!

Bonanza Birthday Wishes ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

So much has changed since our last hop...it's hard to even put in to words how I feel about what our current "normal" is like.  I do know that there are several kiddos are missing out on celebrating birthday's with friends during these quarantine times, so I wanted to make sure I have lots of cards on hand to send out to help brighten their day.  The Birthday Bonanza Suite is perfect for birthday celebrations for all ages!
I fussy cut these cute little critters from the DSP and added them to a festive little tag.  And the ice cream cone DSP...isn't this the cutest?!?!
I am a sucker for banners, so it was love at first sight when I saw the Bonanza Dies! The banners were the perfect addition to these festive little birthday candles.
This card was so fun to make, thanks to this weeks Freshly Made Sketches!  I can always count on their great sketches to help get me started!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Basic Black, Birthday Bonanza DSP
Ink ~ Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Bonanza Buddies
Other Supplies ~ Bonanza Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack

Tomorrow we head in to week two of work and school from home, as well as our second week of our state shutdown.  We are all missing our family and friends, but we are hopeful this is all for the best.  Stay well friends!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

Ornate Appreciation

Happy Monday friends!  With all of the chaos that surrounds us right now, I have some happiness to share with you today.  Beginning on April 1st, Stamping' Up! will be launching the early release of the beautiful Ornate Gardens Suite, which will be featured in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  The timing of this release could not be more perfect!  The Ornate Thanks stamp set has the BEST sentiments to send words of encouragement and gratitude out to those who need it right now!
Our school district begins our "Distance Learning" program this week and we will be picking up packets from our boys' schools.  These cards will be hand delivered to the staff at their schools as a thank you for all of the hard work they have put in to our kids, even when they aren't in the building.  Staff has spent countless hours preparing packets and Google Classroom sessions for our kids, and will continue to do this for at least the next 6 weeks, possibly longer.
Of course I had to add the Ornate Style stamp set to my collection!  Any stamp set that has images that I can color with my Stampin' Blends is a must have for me!

And let's talk about this beautiful Ornate Garden Specialty DSP...it is absolutely GORGEOUS!  These flowers...yep, it's DSP that I have colored and fussy cut out to create this beautiful thank you card.  I plan to sit down and color an entire sheet of this DSP while my boys work on their school work.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Ornate Garden Speciality DSP, Vellum
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron, Mint Macaron
Stamp Sets ~ Ornate Style, Ornate Thanks
Other Supplies ~ Gold Embossing Powder

Things are certainly different in our world right now, but rather than focusing on the bad, I am choosing to find the good in everything that we do.  I am using some of my extra time to make more cards to send to our schools and to the teachers that I work directly with.  They are missing our kids so much and need to know just how much they are appreciated.

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC256 Suite Inspiration

Happy Friday stampers! Who is ready for an all new TGIF Challenges to help distract them for all of the chaos in our world right now?  I know I am!  Join us as we have fun with the Best Dressed Suite!
Being the mom of 3 boys, I am not much of a girly-girl momma, BUT I love the Best Dressed DSP!  The floral patterns are my favorite, but the flip side patterns are perfect for my love of fussy cutting!
I have been focusing on "just a note" or "thinking of you" cards to send out to our staff during our school closures to let them know that we are all thinking of them and appreciate all of the work they are still putting in with our kiddos out of the classroom. This sentiment from Butterfly Gala was just what these beautiful flowers needed.  I can't wait to send this out to one of our teachers next week!
The So Very Vellum Specialty DSP paired up beautifully with the Best Dressed DSP!  I'm hoping we see more vellum like this in the future!

Even though I am a boy mom, I still love me a fun pair of shoes and some fun cosmetics!  These images were so much fun to cut out and the sentiment, also from Butterfly Gala, was just perfect!  I love that you can coordinate all of our products!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Purple Posey, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Best Dressed DSP, So Very Vellum DSP
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Set ~ Butterfly Gala
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Dies, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots

During these times of uncertainty, I am so thankful for a creative outlet to help take my mind off of everything that is happening around us!  I hope you are doing well during this time!

Happy Stamping!

Flowering Foils Congratulations ~ HSSSC #335

It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge...Happy Tuesday!
I am so thankful for this hobby of mine that I love so much.  Spending a little bit of time in my craft room each day is a great distraction from everything that is happening in our world.
I received a box of a few more fun Occasions and Sale-A-Bration items last Friday...just in time to use the beautiful Flowering Foils for todays sketch!
I fussy cut these gorgeous foiled flowers and added some color with my Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  The So Very Vellum Specialty DSP paired up with these flowers beautifully.  I added a layer of Petal Pink embossed with Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder.  I wrapped it up with Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, which I colored with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend and added a little Champagne Rhinestones bling.  A simple Congratulations from Peaceful Moments stamp set was the perfect final touch.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Whisper White, Flowering Foils Specialty DSP, So Very Vellum Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Petal Pink, Stampin' Blends:  Petal Pink, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Peaceful Moments
Other Supplies ~ Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon, Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder, Champagne Rhinestones

As of today, kids in our local school district are out of school for at least the next 6 weeks.  It is a time of serious uncertainty for our students, staff and parents...but I know that we will all get though it together!

I hope you are all doing well in your areas and stay healthy.  Stay home and stamp the days away!

Happy Stamping!

Tropical Wishes ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

I don't know about you, but I was very happy to have a crafty distraction this weekend!  We received information late Friday afternoon that all schools in our state would be shutting down for 6 weeks, effective Tuesday, March 17th.  We had a pretty good idea this was coming, but did not think it would be for this long.  Thankfully, our school district has blessed us with an amazing superintendent who has been planning for this for the past two weeks, so we are somewhat ahead of the game...but there is still so much left to be figured out and rolled out to students and families.  So, as I said, I was VERY happy to have a crafty distraction this weekend!
Most of you know by now that I LOVE to fussy cut!  It is my go-to when I need some craft-therapy.  Fussy cutting is something that calms me and helps me to quiet my mind when so many other things want to over take it.  The Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack has so many great images that were absolutely perfect for a few special request cards my friend asked me to make for her.

I love these beautiful Lily flowers...they are one of my favorites that I have in my own yard.  I can't wait for them to begin blooming in a few months!  I cut these beauties out and added them to a few beautiful layers of stamped card stock, Tropical Oasis DSP and a Coastal Weave embossed piece of card stock.  The card was finished off with the beautiful birthday sentiment from Timeless Tropical.
And who doesn't love a pineapple?!?!  Honestly, the pineapples are what sold me!  I had to have the ENTIRE Tropical Oasis suite all because of the pineapples!  Again I stamped, embossed and layered everything up before I added the fussy cut pineapple and Thank You sentiment.
I saved my favorite for last!  My friend needed a card for her niece's 21st birthday, which she will be celebrating in Maui.  This tasty coconut drink was meant to be!  And the fun fruity DSP is my favorite in the pack!  And I know....the Large Number Dies are retired, but they are dies that I will keep and use forever.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pretty Peacock, So Saffron, Soft Suede
Stamp Sets ~ Timeless Tropical, Piece of Cake
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Shapes, Large Numbers (retired)

As we head in to a new week, I pray that we all stay healthy and united as a country as we face what ever comes our way.  I am still uncertain what my job will consist of as our schools close for 6 weeks, but a little part of me is hoping that it will consist of working a bit more from home so I can sneak in a little more crafting time.

Stay well friends!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

Sentimental Thanks

Hello friends! I hope your week is off to a great start so far!  Things have been good on my end and I'm hoping it stays that way.
I've been on a bit of a watercolor kick lately and wanted to share my latest creation with you.
I don't own So Sentimental or the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly Dies {yet}, so I took full advantage of borrowing the bundle from my stampin' BFF, Wendy, while she was here visiting.  I stamped a few images and cutting them out to use at a later time.
Inspired by colors from my bedspread, I watercolored the pretty flowers from Happy Birthday To You and cut them out with the coordinating Birthday Dies.  I created a soft Night of Navy watercolor background, which really makes the Night of Navy sentiment and Granny Apple Green leaves make a bold statement!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, Watercolor
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ So Sentimental, Happy Birthday To You
Other Supplies ~ Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Birthday Dies, White Embossing Powder

We have been blessed with some beautiful weather since the time change last weekend, so I am finding it difficult to stay inside when I get home in the afternoons, but I promise I will be back later this week with more to share!

Have a terrific day!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC254 Color Challenge

Whew...we made it to Friday!  This has been one wacky week and I am so ready for the weekend...more on that later!

To kick the weekend off, how about an all new TGIF Challenges Color Challenge
These colors are super fun together and our design team has created some beautiful projects to share with you.
I am cherishing every moment I have with my Sale-A-Bration items and this cute little cactus from The Gang's All Meer is my favorite!
If you know me, you know I love all things black and white...I love creating this simple background with nothing more than Memento.  A few colored cacti and a bold Lovely Lipstick starburst was just the right amount of color!
Embossing the sentiment on Basic Black and a little strip of my favorite Golden Honey Specialty DSP pattern added just a bit more color.  And I can't forget a little bling with some added Rhinestones and Silver Metallic Thread to complete the card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White, Golden Honey Specialty DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick
Stamp Sets ~ The Gang's All Meer, Sending You Thoughts
Other Supplies ~ Starburst Punch, Silver Metallic Thread, Rhinestone Basic Jewels. White Embossing Powder

As I mentioned in the beginning, it has been a wacky week!  Our region has been hit hard with the Coronavirus, so it has been crazy taking all of the necessary precautions to make sure everyone stays healthy.  And then my youngest decided to get sick, so my hubby and I have been taking turns staying home with him (don't worry, he just had a nasty cold and fever!), but he is on the mend and back at school today.  I was supposed to head over to the Seattle area on Sunday for a conference, but due to the large number of confirmed Coronavirus cases over there, the conference has been postponed.  While I was looking forward to getting away for a few days, I am thankful to have the weekend at home to hopefully catch up on rest and disinfecting our house!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!  Don't forget to set your clocks forward...HOORAY for more daylight in the evening!!

Happy Stamping!

Lily Pad Friendship ~ HSSIC334

We made it through another Monday...HOORAY!  We're on to Tuesday, and that means it's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  This week we have a pretty Inspiration Challenge for you to play along with!

My visit with my stampin' BFF, Wendy, of Wickedly Wonderful Creations, could not have come at a better time.  We compared stamp sets before she headed my way and brought some of her stamp sets and supplies that I don't have.  I didn't have Lovely Lily Pad or the coordinating Lily Pad dies, but after playing with them, they just might have find their way in to my craft room!
I haven't used any of my Watercolor paper or Aqua Painters in quite some time, so it was fun to dust them off to create this beauty.  I used a combination of Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Lovely Lipstick for the flower, Granny Apple Green for the lily pad and just a touch of Coastal Cabana for some ripply water.  I decided to go bold with the sentiment, which I embossed in white on Basic Black.  In true Craft-somnia fashion, I added some metallic thread and a little bling...you can never go wrong with a little sparkle.  The fun water-drop die was the perfect finishing touch for the background...even if they took me a bit to cut and weed!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Basic Black, Watercolor
Ink ~ VersaMar, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana
Stamp Set ~ Lovely Lily Pad, So Sentimental
Other Supplies ~ Lily Pad Dies, Rose Metallic Thread, Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels, White Embossing Powder, Aqua Painters

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please be sure to join us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week and share your inspiration with us.  We love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

"Bee" The Light ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

I just spent a fun-filled weekend with my stampin' BFF and fellow Monday Montager, Wendy Weixler.  Our time together is never long enough, but always so much fun!  This visit was probably the most mellow and laid-back visit we have ever had...which was totally awesome!  And it was so great to spend a little time together in my craft room...something we never seem to have enough time to do!
Today's card was inspired by the adorable shirt that Wendy made for us to wear to the TobyMac concert on Saturday...more on that in a bit!  After seeing the shirt, I knew I needed to turn it in to a card!  Using my favorite Golden Honey Specialty DSP as my starting point, I cut out the beautiful Detailed Bee and "the light" using Hand-Lettered Prose dies.
I felt like the bee needed just a little something to help her stand out, so I added a Gold Foil Starburst, embossed with the honeycomb die.  I finished the card off with a gold heat embossed flower and a few little gold Metallic  Pearls.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil, Golden Honey Speciality DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Honey Bee
Other Supplies ~ Sunburst Punch, Hand-Letter Prose Dies, Detailed Bee Dies, Metallic Pearls, Gold Embossing Powder

As I mentioned earlier, we went to the TobyMac concert while Wendy was here.  What I failed to mention was that she braved taking 6 kiddos to the concert with me as well!  There aren't many friends who will drive over 9 hours, ONE WAY, to come visit you AND take that many kids to a concert.  She is the BEST and our adventures are always so much fun!
Our next adventure awaits!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!
