#TGIFC122 Technique Challenge - Watercolor Image

Hip, hip hooray!  It's Friday, which not only means the weekend is here, but it also means it's time for an all new TGIF Technique Challenge!
This week we are watercoloring the main images we have stamped.

I have had the Rose Wonder stamp set for well over a year and this is the first time I've used it? WHY oh WHY did I wait so long!  The large rose is beautiful and was fun to watercolor.  It's a simple card, but with an image this big, you don't need much more!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ VersaMark, Berry Burst, Old Olive, Crushed Curry
Stamp Set ~ Rose Wonder
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Rose Garden Thinlits, Pearl Basic Jewels

I seem to have been on a sympathy card kick lately...they are always good to have on hand, but I hope I don't have to use any of them soon!

Here's to a Happy Friday to all of you!

And, as always, happy stamping!

Carols of Christmas Birthday ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

We took a little break after our last hop, but we are excited to be back today and sharing our creations with you again!

I always look forward to the Holiday Catalog preorder every year because it always means a new stamp set with a deer, elk or moose!  As some of you know, my husband is a VERY avid hunter, so I make him a birthday card every year with a deer, elk or moose on it!  Today just happens to be his birthday, so I am sharing a quick little card I made for him.  I won't be able to give it to him until Tuesday though because he and our boys are living one of their dreams right now!  They are in Williamsport PA watching the Little League World Series!  Our 12 year old Walla Walla Valley All-Star team is representing the Northwest and all of my boys were lucky enough to go watch a few games.  It has been so much fun talking to them every night as they share this amazing event together.  I'm pretty sure this is the best birthday present my hubby has ever had!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Merry Little Christmas DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Guy Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Card Front Builder Thinlits, Burlap Ribbon

I love the starry sky and little deer silhouette!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC120 Sketch Challenge

It's Friday!  It's Friday!  Woo-hoo!!
Friday means it's time for an all new TGIF Sketch Challenge and I love this sketch!

Our week has been consumed with watching the Little League World Series Regional Tournament. Our Walla Walla Valley 12 year old team has been playing their hearts out and are fighting so hard to make it to the Championship game and on to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.  It has been so amazing to watch this group of boys play.  They are the most humble and kind group of boys and have the best attitude both on an off the field!

I am a total pacer baseball games and it is so hard for me to sit and watch these games on TV.  Thankfully I had my box of new Holiday Catalog items to help keep me in my seat as I watched the games this week!  I absolutely LOVE the Painted Harvest stamp set and coordinating Painted Autumn DSP.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Painted Autumn DSP
Ink ~ Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Garden Green
Stamp Set ~ Painted Harvest
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon, Leaf Punch

Be sure to join us over at TGIF and play along with our sketch challenge...we love to see what you create!

Paisley Birthday ~ HSSCC270

Happy Tuesday stampers!  How is everyone's week going so far?  I'm wrapping up my last week of summer break before I head back to work on Monday.  As always, summer has gone too fast, but I have a great summer off with my family doing lots of fun things!  I'm not quite ready for the summer fun to end, but I am looking forward to getting back in to my work routine!

We've got some fun summery colors for you to play with in the latest Hand Stamped Sentiements Color Challenge.

Paisley prints seem to be big right now, which is what inspired my card today.  I tend to look at Paisleys and Posies as a fall stamp set, but simply changing up the colors makes for a fun summer birthday card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Lemon-Lime Twist, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo
Ink ~ Lemon-Lime Twist, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo
Stamp Set ~ Paisleys and Posies
Other Supplies ~ Happy Birthday Thinlits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I've been on kind of a simple kick lately with my creations.  Sometimes going back to basics helps me get the creative juices flowing for more creative projects!  Hopefully more creativity will be flowing soon!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to play along with us in this summer fun color challenge!

Happy Stamping!

Creation Station ~ In My Neighborhood

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop!  This month we are sharing what's happening in our neighborhoods...whether it be events in your town, birthdays, vacations or other special events, we are excited to show you what's going on in our neighborhood :)

It is wildland fire season and we are surrounded by fires, which has created smoke filled skies for the past few weeks.  This also means my hubby has been putting in a lot of extra hours either fighting fires or helping cover for other members of the department who are out on fires.  The air quality is horrible and we all miss having my hubby home, but the sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful!  I always love finding beauty in something not so beautiful!

My first card was inspired by a picture I took the other night as the sun was setting.  The sun was a bight, almost neon, orange!  My boys and I sat outside and watch it set behind our sunflowers...it was stunning!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink ~ Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Daisy Delight

Wheat harvest is also wrapping up in our area, which means we have lots of farm equipment and trucks traveling along the roads.  I love old farm trucks, which inspired my second card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Wood Textures DSP, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Basic Black, Real Red, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Pool Party
Stamp Set ~ Country Livin', Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon

What fun things are happening in your neighborhood?

Thank you for stopping by today and joining us for the Creation Station Blog Hop!

Please head over to the ever amazing Julie next!  I can not wait to see what she has to share with us today!
