Painted Harvest Sympathy ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

Last week was a busy one and this weekend was super busy as well.  Knowing I would be gone for the weekend, I worked on a few projects throughout the week in hopes of staying caught up.  I did pretty good...but my naughty puppy ALMOST ruined the card I worked on for today's hop.  Thankfully I was able to salvage most of the pieces and finish this sympathy card for a special friend.
Painted Harvest is still one of my favorite stamp sets.  I love that you can create a beautiful flower in ANY color...every color is beautiful!
The flowers and the fern-like leaves were stamped and fussy cut...one of my favorite crafty things to do!  I did use the coordinating Leaf Punch too.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but I used the Subtle Embossing folder, adding just the right amount of texture.  A little bit of Rose Thread and Gold Metallic Pearls were the perfect added touch to go along with the Gold Foil sympathy cut with the Well Written Dies.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow, Gold Foil
Ink ~ Early Espresso, Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set ~ Painted Harvest
Other Supplies ~ Gold Metallic Pearls, Rose Metallic Thread, Subtle Embossing Folder

It's a good thing this naughty girl is cute...in addition chewing up the first version of this card, she absolutely destroyed my craft room.  I'm pretty sure she had some help from our kitty or she was brave enough to jump up on my desk.  I'm not sure I want to know!  But I now know that pulling Stampin' Dimensionals from the pads of your puppy's feet and long puppy fur is NOT a fun activity!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!

Sunflower Inspiration ~ HSSIC300

Have you fallen into fall yet?  It's in full swing where I live and the colors are beautiful!  I'll admit...I'm not a huge fan of the cold, dreary weather that comes with fall, but I do love all of the color it has to offer!

This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge is all about FALL!  And it's our 300th challenge!  How cool is that?  I am so honored to be a part of this amazing design team!

Of course I was inspired by the sunflowers in the photo collage.  Sunflowers always make me think of the last little bit of summer hanging on as fall takes over.  The beautiful sunflower stamps in Painted Harvest met Mango Melody and produced the most amazing sunflowers ever!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gray Granite, Whisper White
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets ~ Painted Harvest, Love What You Do
Other Supplies ~ Linen Thread

Yes, I fussy cut all of the flowers and leaves. I am one of the few who love to fussy cut!  It's one of those things that just feels therapeutic to me :-)

Be sure to head on over to HSS and play along with us!

Happy Stamping!

Painted Harvest Birthday - #hsssh295

Happy Tuesday stampers and hello from Pacific City, OR.  We escaped the heat back home and headed to the Oregon coast for a little family fun vacation.  We have been vacationing along the WA and OR coasts for as long as I can remember.  It's not a summer if we don't make it there at least once!

I may be on vacation, but that doesn't mean I'm not stamping. There are very few trips we take where I don't take some sort of stamping with me!   Thankfully I was able to this trip so I could participate in this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.  I love how open this sketch is...you can do just about anything with this!

My friends sister will soon be celebrating her birthday and she asked me to make her a card. I know she loves to work in her flower beds and put together her own flower arrangements, so I pulled out an old favorite, Painted Harvest.  I used Melon Mambo and Powder Pink for the flowers...oh my!  Aren't they pretty?!?
Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink ~ Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Granny Apple Green
Stamp Sets ~ Painted Harvest, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Other Supplies ~ Linen Thread, Iridescent Sequins, Subtle Embossing Folder

That Subtle embossing folder...I'm pretty sure it's my favorite!  And when you rough up the edges of the card stock (I use an older pair of paper snips), it gives it some amazing detail!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you are having a great week!  I may be stamping on my vacation, but I don't know how much blogging I will be doing...but I'll be back soon!

Happy Stamping!

It's Theme Week at TGIF Challenges and this challenge is perfect for the fall season!

#tgifc126 Technique Week - It's a Fancy Fold!

Happy Friday stamping friends!

We are getting fancy over at TGIF Challenges with some Fancy Folds!
I'll be honest...my cards are typically the standard fold and far from fancy.  But I was reminded with this card just how fun the different folds can be!

I made this card for my momma's birthday, which is coming up on Monday.  I made a little gift card holder inside the second fold of the card so I can tuck her birthday gift card inside :)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Painted Autumn
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Cajun Crazy, Early Espresso
Stamp Sets ~ Painted Harvest, Rose Wonder
Other Supplies ~ Leaf Punch, Soft Sky Ribbon

I absolutely LOVE the sunflower image in this stamp set! The two step stamping almost makes it look 3D!

Be sure to see what the rest of the amazing TGIF design team has created and join in the fancy fold fun with us!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC120 Sketch Challenge

It's Friday!  It's Friday!  Woo-hoo!!
Friday means it's time for an all new TGIF Sketch Challenge and I love this sketch!

Our week has been consumed with watching the Little League World Series Regional Tournament. Our Walla Walla Valley 12 year old team has been playing their hearts out and are fighting so hard to make it to the Championship game and on to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.  It has been so amazing to watch this group of boys play.  They are the most humble and kind group of boys and have the best attitude both on an off the field!

I am a total pacer baseball games and it is so hard for me to sit and watch these games on TV.  Thankfully I had my box of new Holiday Catalog items to help keep me in my seat as I watched the games this week!  I absolutely LOVE the Painted Harvest stamp set and coordinating Painted Autumn DSP.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Painted Autumn DSP
Ink ~ Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Garden Green
Stamp Set ~ Painted Harvest
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon, Leaf Punch

Be sure to join us over at TGIF and play along with our sketch challenge...we love to see what you create!
