Daisies and Stripes

Hello stampers!  Did everyone have a safe and happy 4th of July? We had a day filled with family fun!  My cousins family comes to town every year for the 4th and we have some fun family traditions that we celebrate every year.  It's so much fun getting the next generation of cousins together!
We may have celebrated stars and stripes yesterday, but today we celebrate daisies and stripes!  I have been having so much fun with the new Daisy Lane Bundle.  I've had TONS of fun creating daisies in ALL the colors!
I created a fun black and white striped background, which really makes these colorful daisies pop!  My friends sister has an upcoming birthday and loves Gerber daisies in different shades of oranges and pinks.  I'm hoping she loves this card as much as she loves the flowers!

And look at those adorable fuzzy black centers!  I used my StazOn refill to ink the cute little Perennial Essence Floral Centers.   It took them a little while to dry, but it was worth the wait!  If you wanted to do this for a class, you could easily ink some up ahead of time and demo how you did it in your class.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Grapefruit Grove, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Ink ~ Calypso Coral, Grapefruit Grove, Petal Pink, StazOn Refill
Stamp Set ~ Daisy Lane
Other Supplies ~ Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Perennial Essence Floral Centers, Magnolia Memory Dies, Well Written Dies, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Subtle 3D Embossing Folder

We've had another fun-filled family day and it hasn't ended yet.  We are headed to the drive-in movies tonight to see Toy Story 4.  I'm pretty sure I may be more excited about this than the kids are!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Daisies and Denim

Hello my stamping friends and welcome to a new week!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  We spent our weekend in Idaho with my husbands family.  His grandmother passed away last week and we all gathered to celebrate her life.  Funerals are never a great reason to get together, but time with family is always special, no matter what the circumstances are.
I went for a quiet walk yesterday morning before we headed home and took in the beauty of the wild flowers and peaceful blue skies along the way. I love finding creative inspiration in my surroundings and could not wait to get home and create!
Seaside Spray is such a beautiful and calming color...perfect for some pretty daisies in a pocket of denim!  The fuzzy little Perennial Essence Floral Centers gave them an extra pop of color...they are so cute!
If you loved last years Daisy Delight Bundle, you will also love the new Daisy Lane Bundle!  The Daisy Lane stamp set coordinates with the new Medium Daisy Punch AND the Daisy Punch.  It is so great to have carry over products that coordinate with new stamp sets!  If you haven't purchased your Daisy Lane Bundle yet, you are missing out!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink ~ Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray
Stamp Sets ~ Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight
Other Supplies ~ Daisy Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, Subtle Embossing Folder, Well Written Dies, Perennial Essence Floral Centers, Pocket Dies

It's time for me to go give my flower beds a little TLC before my youngest and I head out on a bike ride and picnic lunch.

Have a great day!

Unicorn Birthday Wishes ~ HSSIC313

Hello all you happy stampers! Welcome to Tuesday and an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  We have several inspiring photos from you to choose from this week and can't wait to see what you create!

Being the mom of 3 boys, I don't have the opportunity to create many cards for girls.  So any time I am asked to make a special card for a special little girl, I am happy to jump on the opportunity!  A dear friend asked for a birthday card for her great niece who will soon be turning 4 and loves the color purple.  As soon as I saw the unicorn headband in the inspiration photos, I knew exactly what I wanted to make!
I stamped a few of the flowers from First Frost stamp set in several shades of purple, then cut them out using the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  The ears were cut using the Natures Roots Framelits.  The sentiment and a little bling were added by die cutting the pretty floral piece and words from the Well Written Framelits.  I finished off the card with some fluttery hand-drawn eyelashes and a bit of ribbon.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Gold Glimmer
Ink ~ Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ First Frost
Other Supplies ~ Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (Petal Pink) Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Gold Mini Sequins, Framelits:  Frosted Bouquet, Natures Roots, Well Written

Well...how did this boy mom do on a super girly card?  I sure hope the birthday girl likes it!

What will you be inspired to create today?  I can't wait to see!

Happy Stamping!

 UNSET
If you spend an extra $50, you can also earn the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This is the BEST embossing folder Stampin' Up has had yet! Take a look at a couple cards I created with the bundle and embossing folder.
Want in on a little secret?  On March 1st, there will be coordinating frailest for this stamp set!!  How awesome is that?!?  Want to know another little secret?  I forgot to pre-order my frailest, so all of my flowers and leaves are fussy cut!  It's a good thing fussy cutting is therapeutic for me!
I love the succulent stamp and coordinating DSP pattern.  This was my first image to ink up in the stamp set and I LOVE it.  This is another awesome Distinkstive stamp set and I've found the best way to get a crisp, clear image is to drag the stamp across the ink pad, rather than tapping.  There are several helpful tips and tricks out there to successfully inking up the beautiful Distinktive images.  Don't be afraid to ask for tips!
I coordinated both cards with the Well Written Framelits to complete my sentiments.  These framelits are so good...with or without the coordinating Well Said stamp set!

I'll be using this bundle at my upcoming stamp club in March.  I can't wait to share these amazing products with my club members.  They are going to love them!

Thanks to my amazing job, I get to enjoy a 4-day weekend, which means lots of stamp time!  I have plans to FaceTime stamp with my BFF since she wasn't able to make the drive over due to our crazy winter weather.  Thank goodness for technology!

Happy Stamping!
