Filled with Peace & Joy

Happy Friday stampers and welcome to this month's TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenge!  I don't know about you, but it seems so fitting to have an inspiration challenge focused on comfort and peace on the day after Thanksgiving. As we make our way into a busy time of year, my hope is that your holiday season is filled with peace and joy!
This card came together with bits and pieces from other cards that were still sitting on my desk. I always love putting scraps to good use! I started by running the shiplap piece though the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I splattered and sponged a little Crumb Cake for just a bit more texture.
I heat embossed the Framed & Festive sentiment in white on Crumb Cake, layering it on top of the shiplap layer.  I tucked a few pieces of Christmas to Remember greenery between the layers, along with some white holly berries.

Next came the big caribou...I love this Reindeer Dies piece!  I die-cut a Crumb Cake and a Soft Suede caribou, then snipped them and glued them together. The hunters in my family approved of this!

I finished the card off with a few wooden snowflake elements from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season, filled with so much peace & joy!

Happy Stamping!

Merry Monday Grinch

It's another Merry Monday and day 20 of #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge.

Today's theme is Bah Humbug.  No Bah Humbug's allowed around here, but we do love the Grinch and how the Christmas spirt enters his heart!
One of the Potted Succulent dies has always reminded me of a Grinch hand, so I put it to good use for today's card.  A little strip of Poppy Parade made the arm and one of the Potted Succulent small floral dies worked perfectly for the snow-white cuff. A Poppy Parade Spruced Up ornament was the only thing this Grinch-y hand needed.

I struggled with a sentiment and ended up going with one of my favorites from Christmas to Remember, stamped in Poppy Parade.  This time of year can sometimes bring out the Grinch in all of us, but remember...'Tis the Season to let your heart grow be filled with the spirit of the season!

'Tis the Season To Be Warm and Cozy

Here we are at November 3rd and we have snow in our foothills.  I'm not ready for winter...fall just got here!

On a happier note, we are also on day 3 of #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge and today's them is Warm and Cozy.  I am definitely ready to be warm and cozy!

When I think of warm and cozy, I think of fuzzy sweaters and a good hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate.  The sweater from Forever Friendship and the mug of something warm from Yeti to Party were just what I needed for this warm and cozy card!

I used the trusty old mirrored image stamping with a piece of Window Sheet to stamp one of the sweaters backwards so they could link arms.  Isn't this the cutest?!?  I tried to do the same with the mug, but photopolymer stamps on Window Sheets are slippery and my hands were a bit too shaky from too much coffee.  I'll have to try again!

A soft Pool Party background with a few die-cut snowflakes from the Celebrations Tag Dies helped to create a snowy background.  It's a pretty simple card, but I love how all of the elements came together!

I am hoping to play along with all 30 days of the challenge, but I can't promise I will get all of the cards posted here.  But you can be sure to catch any that aren't posted here on Instagram.  You can find the link on the home page of my blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Holly Jolly July

It's the most wonderful time of the summer...Christmas in July!

The July-December catalog is here and FULL of some many festive products to meet all of your fall and holiday creative needs!

I love to hoard collect DSP...I know I'm not alone in this!  I fell in love with the Celebrate Everything DSP as soon as I saw it.  The patterns and colors leave you with endless creative possibilities.

I paired this bright and cheerful pattern up with Christmas to Remember and Christmas Season stamp sets and coordinating dies.  I wasn't sure about the Polished Pink sentiment with the Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade greenery, but I quickly discovered a fun new holiday color combo!  A few Basic Black splatters in the background, a bit of Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon and a few Iridescent Rhinestones finished the card off.

This sweet and simple layout came from the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  They never let me down when I needed a little help getting started on a project!

I am officially on summer break for the next 7 weeks, so I hope to be back more frequently with some fun projects to share with all of you!

Happy Gingerbread Christmas Wishes ~ #HSSIC379

Hi stampers!  Welcome to the last Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge of 2021.  We'll be taking the rest of the month off to enjoy time with family and friends, but we'll be back in January with all new challenges!

We're ending the year with an Inspiration Challenge.  I love all of these inspiring images and can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I was drawn to the cute hanging gingerbread ornaments and quickly pulled out the adorable Gingerbread & Peppermint 6"x6" DSP.  I only bought the paper from this suite, but with all of the cute images in this little pack of paper, you can make do without anything else!

I fussy cut a few of the tiny gingerbread images and hung them like ornaments.  Aren't they the cutest?  Some Gingerbread & Peppermint patterns were added in the background and a bright Real Red card base held it all together.

I used Christmas to Remember and Words of cheer, along with the Christmas Cheer dies to create a very HAPPY Christmas greeting!  And what's a Christmas card without some Real Red Rhinestones?!?!

I hope you'll join in the fun and play along with us!

Silver and Gold Christmas

Hi friends and welcome to another fabulous Monday Montage blog Hop! Make sure you don't miss a single stop along the way...this hop is packed full of amazing projects!

I can't believe the weekend is over and we're back to Monday again.  The weekends go by way too fast, especially during the holiday season.  I have a box full of new pre-order stamping products sitting on my desk, but after a weekend full of Christmas celebrations, I'm not quite ready to be done with my Christmas creations.

I just recently added the Poinsettia dies to my collection and decided I better put them to use before it's too late!  I cut flowers in all sizes and layered them to create a full, beautiful Very Vanilla bloom.  The leaves were cut from Gold & Rose Metallic Specialty Paper...in gold.  A few sprigs of Balmy Blue were tucked in and some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was looped in for the perfect amount of texture.

A few gold Metallic Pearls dressed up the center of the Poinsettia and a few splatters of gold from the soon to be release Daffodil Daydream stamp set were the perfect addition.
A bold Merry Christmas sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set was heat embossed in white on Basic Black then fussy cut for the perfect placement.

Are you singing the song Silver and Gold from the Rudolph movie now?  The song has been stuck in my head since I started creating this card!   Now I want to watch the movie...one of my all time holiday favorites!

Next up on the hop is my friend Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us!
Or if you want to take a hop back, check out my stampin' BFF Wendy...you won't be disappointed!
Thanks for hopping along with us!

'Tis the Season ~ HSSCC378

'Tis the season for warm holiday colors!  This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge is beautiful and I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I think I used a a little something from every seasonal suite in the July-December Mini Catalog for this card!  Black & White Gingham Ribbon from the Cute Halloween Suite, Cork Specialty Paper from the Harvest Meadow Suite and cute little Christmas Trees Dies from the Whimsy & Wonder Suite.  I LOVE it when so many different products all work together!

I cut some whimsical trees in shades of Merry Merlot, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent and arranged them on a circle of Cork Speciality Paper.  To give the card a bit more color, I added a piece of Evening Evergreen In-Color DSP...but it still needed more!

...bring in the Black & White Gingham Ribbon!  Have I mentioned how much I love this ribbon?!?!  A bit more black was added with a sentiment from Christmas to Remember stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I thought about adding a few embellishments, but decided this card just didn't need them.

Are you ready for the Christmas season?  I was ready after Halloween, but I held off on putting any decorations up until the weekend before Thanksgiving.  We usually wait until the weekend after, but we were traveling this year, so I decided some Christmas cheer for a few more days wouldn't hurt anyone!

I hope you'll join along and share your colorful Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge  creations!

Holly Jolly Hot Chocolate

Thanksgiving is almost here, which means I better get started on some of my special treat packages for Christmas!  I love to have a stash of little gifts on hand, ready to go for those last minute holiday gatherings that always seem to pop up this time of year.

Anyone else have a ridiculous amount of fun packaging in their stash that rarely gets used?!?  Please tell me I'm not the only one!  I pulled out my stash of Acetate Card Boxes and found that they are perfect for a quick and easy hot chocolate kit!
Anyone else have a ridiculous amount of fun packaging in their stash that rarely gets used?!?  Please tell me I'm not the only one!  I pulled out my stash of Acetate Card Boxes and found that they are perfect for a quick and easy hot chocolate kit!

I tucked a packet of hot chocolate and a candy cane in the box, then aded a few strips of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP to the top and bottom.

Another crafting item I tend to collect is ribbon...ALL the ribbon!  The Metallic Mesh Ribbon was just what this box needed.  It goes along with the bits of silver in the DSP beautifully!  And you can't have a box without a tag, right?

After cutting out a Tailored Made Tag from a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, I created a watercolor background with the Water Painters and some Mossy Meadow ink.  A beautiful Wonderful Snowflake, a couple of cute die cut trees and a heat embossed sentiment from Christmas to Remember, along with just a few Polished Pink In Color jewels completed the tag.

I'm hoping to get a few more of these put together over the Thanksgiving break, along with a few other treat boxes.  'Tis the season!

This weeks Global Design Project Christmas Theme Project inspired today's project! Join in the fun and play along!
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Sale-a-Brating Peaceful Prints ~ #TGIFC334

Hello Friday, it's so good to see you!  And it's even better that you bring an all new TGIF Challenges with you!
This week we are celebrating round 2 of Sale-a-Bration!  It has been so much fun having another round of FREE items to be earned!

I am a sucker for DSP, so of course I had to have ALL of the different packs of DSP that you are eligible to earn during Sale-a-Bration.  Peaceful Prints is full of some beautiful patterns that are perfect for your holiday creations.
I created a simple design, showcasing several different patterns of this DSP, including the adorable pattern that coordinates with the Deer Builder Punch in the current Mini Catalog.  The sentiments are from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.  This is, by far, my favorite Christmas sentiment stamp set!

I couldn't stop with just one card....there are some many fun patterns of paper in this pack! I showcased a few more of those patterns, added two more punched deer and used another Christmas to Remember sentiment...fussy cut for perfect placement, of course!
How was I able to punch the deer looking the other way, you ask?!?!  After searching for a few tips online, I found the easiest way is to punch a deer on a sticky note first.  Then hold the deer pattern of DSP up to a light, placing the punched sticky note as a template on the backside of the deer.  Now you can line your punch up with the sticky note and out pops a deer facing the opposite direction.

There is only a short time left before Sale-a-Bration comes to an end.  Don't miss out on the opportunity to earn some amazing products for FREE!

Painted with Love & Joy ~ #TGIFC332

It's Friday and time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  We are jumping into fall with a beautiful color challenge!
These colors have a warm and toasty fall feel to them, but they will also work for some of your favorite Christmas stamp sets as well!  I couldn't wait to ink up the Christmas Season and Christmas to Remember stamp sets in these beautiful colors.
I love all of the sentiments from Christmas to Remember and chose one of my favorites to be the focal point of the card.  I stamped and die-cut the sentiment and started adding bits and pieces and layers from there! Some pinecones, holly and sprigs of greenery were tucked behind the sentiment, as well as a bit of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler & Gold Ribbon.
I love the Painted Christmas DSP, but the colors in the paper didn't quite match up with this weeks color challenge.  So...I created my own DSP with a mix of Christmas Season stamps!  Any one else love to create your own DSP when you can't find one that will work with a project?!?!

I hope you have had a wonderful week and have some fun weekend plans ahead...especially if you get to enjoy a longer holiday weekend!  I know my family plans on making the most of our last weekend before school starts for the year.  Here's to a healthy and in person school year!

Holly Jolly Santa ~ #TGIFC330

Happy holly jolly Friday and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges.

This week we are pulling inspiration from the Mini Catalog.  I just received a small box of new goodies, which included the Be Jolly stamp set.  This stamp set was just what I needed...a little color therapy!

These images are so cute and jolly and SO MUCH fun to color with Stampin' Blends! I had a mess of colors on my desk...Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Misty Moonlight....cheerful Christmas colors for sure!  Each image was fussy cut then arranged around a holly jolly sentiment from Christmas to Remember

The Brights and Subtles DSP packs provided the perfect background for a fun holiday scene.  All that was left were a few Stitched Stars to make it even more merry and bright!

If you love coloring as much as I do, this is a stamp set you are going to want to add to your collection for sure!

I hope your weekend plans include some stamping time so you can play along with us this week.

Wrapped up in the Christmas Season ~ #TGIFC326

Once again, we have arrived at Friday and another all new TGIF Challenges!  This week we have a fun technique challenge for you...Decorated Envelopes!
I don't know about you, but I am not the best at dressing up my envelopes.  This is something that I need to change, especially for cards that are being tucked in with a gift!
I am still working my way through my Mini Catalog pre-order goodies, so you get more Christmas in July today.  The Painted Christmas Suite was an absolute MUST have for me...I love everything about it!  I used some of the Painted Christmas DSP to decorate the envelope flap as well as the pretty label for the front.  I tucked in a pinecone, some sprigs of pine branches and some holly berries behind a sweet and simple Merry Christmas sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.  Oh, and a few Gold Holly Leaves too...can't forget those!

Of course I had to have a card to go inside this beautiful envelope.  I CASE'd one of the samples in the Mini Catalog to create a simple, yet special card.  I love this sentiment, also from the Christmas to Remember Stamp set.
Christmas may still be months away, but I can't wait to give this to a dear friend when the season is here!
I am going to make it a goal to make more of an effort to decorate more of my envelopes, even if it's just the flap!  This is a great way to use up some DSP, especially if you are a collector like I am!

Be sure to share your decorated envelopes with us this week!  We always love to see what you are creating!

Happy Stamping!
