You Are Loved

Happy Monday friends!  It's a Monday Montage week...go check out our InstaHop and see all of the amazing projects the team has created!

Today I am sharing a very special graduation card created to honor a beautiful girl who was taken from this earth far too soon.

When my dear friend asked me to make this card for her family, in honor of her niece, I knew I wanted to use the doves from the soon to be release Peace on Earth bundle.
I paired these beautiful doves up with the Everyday Arches and Cap & Gown stamp sets. A simple card that is filled with so much honor and love...this is my why for card making.

Wishing you all a Happy Monday!

Cap & Gown Season

It's Monday Montage Blog Hop time once again!  Hop along and enjoy the journey with us.

Graduation season is quickly approaching and I am making sure I have plenty of grad cards on hand this year!  This is an extra special graduation year in our family as our twins will be graduating in June.  I can't bring myself to make their cards quite yet because I am NOT ready for all of this to be happening.

For now, I will share some fun cards for family friends who will also be graduating.  The Cap & Gown stamp set is such a great stamp set with lots of fun images to create the perfect card for any grad you are celebrating this year.

We have several schools in our valley, so I tried to make a variety of cards in their school colors.  First up is the Shaded Spruce and Wild Wheat color combo for our local private school.  Alphabet a la Mode paired up with the Class of sentiment perfectly and I got to use of some of the retiring In Color DSP

The Azure Afternoon version is for our local Walla Walla High School graduates.  I think this may be my favorite sentiment in the stamp set.  All of the hard work IS worth it!

Lastly, the Poppy Parade version will work for a few different high schools in our surrounding area.  A simple Congratulations, Graduate and some diplomas wrapped this card.
I love the hands throwing the caps up in the air!!  It's the one moment all graduates wait for!  All of the caps, hats and diplomas were stamped in Memento and colored with Stampin' Blends before fussy cutting each image.  The color family DSP added an extra pop of color to each card and helped me use up some of my stash!

Do you have any special graduates to celebrate this year!

Next up is my sweet friend Cheryl!  I can't wait to see what she has to share with us this time around!

Congrats, You Did It!

Graduation season is in full swing and our calendar is full of grad parties! I have a fun grad card to share for this weeks Monday Montage Blog Hop!

If you've followed along with me for a bit, you'll know that the little graduation caps are my favorite embellishment to add to any grad card.  Adding one to a Beautiful Balloons ballon is so much fun!
A few silver foil stars and tassel, along with some Blueberry Bushel confetti went hand in hand with the Congrats sentiment from Phrases for All.  You Did It was the perfect final touch!

Be sure to keep on hopping to see what the rest of our design team has in store!

What Would You Do...

...with a Navy Blue background?
Make a graduation card, of course!  This weeks TGIF Challenges was no challenge at all with graduation season in full swing!
I created a watercolor wash background with just a splash of gold Wink of Stella. (So thankful I still have that in my stash!) Some Distressed Gold Alphabet A La Mode letters were cut, which I layered a few times to help GRAD pop up just a bit more.

Congratulations and You Did It were stamped on water color paper and some Distressed Gold confetti brought the celebration in to full swing!

I have several more grad cards to make and I think this may be my go-to design for this year.  Stay tuned for a few more color variations!

What will you do with a Navy Blue background? Be sure to share your creation with us this week at TGIF Challenges.

Sweet Farewell Adventures

It's graduation season, which means the time has come for some kiddos to spread their wings and leave the nest.  Our family is still a few years away from this, but my heart already hurts for that day.
Y'all know how much I love to color with my Stampin' Blends, so Sweet Farewell caught my eye right away!  This is such fun stamp set and perfect for creating some graduation cards!
I stamped the adorable paper airplanes in VersaMark and heat embossed them in white, then added a Pool Party watercolor wash.  This is always such a fun way to create a background, especially when you use the Shimmery White cardstock.

I love the suitcase and camera images...and they were so fun to color!  I went for bright and bold shades of Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Night of Navy and Real Red.  After adding some color to these cute images, I set to work fussy cutting them out.   Coloring and fussy cutting...these are a few of my favorite things!
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy on a piece of Basic White, then stamped it again in Real Red and cut the little banner out to overlay the Night of Navy.  So much fun!  The entire sentiment was die cut using my favorite Tasteful Labels dies.  I seriously hope these dies NEVER retire!

Sending hugs to all the parents out there who soon be sending their kiddos out on their own...you've got this! We are blessed to be taking in a kiddo later this summer as he steps out on his own and heads here for college.  It will be a new adventure for our family and we are all pretty excited about it!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Country Club Graduation

What do you do when it rains ALL DAY LONG?!?!  Spend the day in your craft room of course!  I'm still working on a few more graduation cards and this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge was perfect for this Country Club Graduation.
One of our baseball families has a senior graduating this year and we couldn't be more happy for him!  He is college bound this fall to pursue a degree in paramedicine and a career as a firefighter/paramedic.  He is also an avid golfer, which means I finally got to use a bit more of the fun Country Club DSP.
I love it when the Designer Series Paper makes the card.  These patterns are not only fun, but also happen to include the right school colors...Green and Gold...or in this case, Garden Green and Crushed Curry.  I used the retired Celebrate You dies and added the Happy Graduation using Itty Bitty Greetings.  I've made so many graduation caps lately, I'm pretty sure I could make them blindfolded!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Whisper White, Country Club DSP
Ink ~ Garden Green
Stamp Set ~ Itty Bitty Greetings
Other Supplies ~ Celebrate You Dies, Whisper White Bakers Twine

This was such a fun sketch!  I have some other fun ideas with other stamp sets...be watching for more projects!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Celebrate Our Graduating Seniors

Graduation is looking a whole lot different for so many seniors this year...my heart hurts for them.  We have yet to hear what will take place in lieu of our typical graduation ceremony here locally, but they have placed signs in the yards of all of our seniors.  It's so cool to drive around town and see all of the signs!
A friend of mine had a great idea to stick a graduation card in the mailboxes of seniors throughout her neighborhood...such a great idea!  I made her a couple cards to get started and will be making more for the seniors in our neighborhood.
I had to pull out and borrow a couple of retired items for these cards, but they were so much fun to make!
I used a couple different stamp sets for this card....Rise & Shine (2020 Sale-A-Bration) and Perennial Birthday to be exact!
I used the same stamp sets here, but pulled out my favorite Large Number Dies and {borrowed} Celebrate You Thinlits.  They may be retired, but they are still some of my favorites that I just can't let go of!

I used the soon-to-be-retired Blueberry Bushel ink and paper, along with my trusty Whisper White.  I added a bit of {retired} bling and some fun graduation caps and tassels to each card.  I've made so many of these over the years I no longer have to look up YouTube tutorials!

I hope you are finding fun ways to celebrate the graduating seniors this year! We have to do our part to make the best of the situation we are in!

Happy Stamping!

Picture Perfect Graduation

Happy Wednesday stampers!

Graduation season is officially here!  Another school year has gone by so fast...except for the very end.  The last couple of weeks seem to take forever!  I joke with my boys that I get summer-itus worse than they do.
I was going through some of my retiring stamp sets and thought that this sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday would be awesome for a graduation card!  With the addition of a fun little graduation cap, it's a the perfect pairing!
I usually try to go with school colors for graduation cards, but these fun patterns of Animal Expedition jumped out at me.  I'm sure going to miss Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist!  Parting with In-Colors is always so hard!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Animal Expedition, Silver Glimmer
Ink ~ Memento
Stamp Set ~ Picture Perfect Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Silver Metallic Thread, Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins, Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your day is as amazing as you are!

Epic {Graduation} Day

Happy Saturday friends!  Just got home from my boys' baseball game and am sneaking in a quick post while they have a snack.  Then we are headed outside to enjoy the b-e-a-u-tiful weather we are having today!

One of my co-workers asked me to make her a few cards for some upcoming events her family members will be celebrating.  One of the cards is for her nephew, who will be graduating from Boise State.  I asked her if she wanted the card to be done in his school colors and she said "Oh HECK NO!".  I was a bit shocked by her response at first, but she was quick to tell me that her husband is an AVID U of I Vandals fan (University of Idaho) and will not allow for anything in Boise State colors in their house.  I got a good laugh out of this and promised her I would NOT make a card with any blue or orange on it :)  So, after I got home from a run this morning, I took advantage of all 3 of my kids still sleeping and pulled out my all time favorite DSP, This and That Epic Day.  I snipped out some hexagons, added those to a honeycomb embossed sheet core'dinations cards stock, rolled up a little diploma and...

Inspiration for this card was pulled from this weeks The Friday Mashup challenge...Embossing for Graduation.  I always love their mashup challenges...keeps me thinking and the creative juices flowing!

Best of luck to all the grads out there...enjoy your journey!
