Happy Birthday Wishes

What do you do when you have a snow day on your birthday?  Spend the day in your craft room creating the day away!  What started out as a 2-hour delay quickly turned into all schools being canceled as the snow keeps coming.

This weeks Freshly Made Sketches  really caught my eye this morning!  This fun layout really got my creativity flowing.

I'm working on my March stamp club projects and wanted to use the Amazing Life Bundle.  This sketch gave me an idea for a card that my stamping friends will love creating!

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Botanical Butterflies DSP

Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party

Stamp Set ~ Amazing Life

Other Supplies ~ Rectangle Stitched Dies, Well Written Framelits, Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder, Lemon Lime Twist Mini Ruffled Ribbon

I've had this ribbon since I was selected to be a display stamper last April in Las Vegas.  I will admit, I have not used it much since then, but was super happy to have it this morning to add to this card!  I had my rectangle shapes ready to adhere when the idea struck to me add the ribbon.  Not wanting the DSP to stick to anything it wasn't supposed to, my Silicon Craft Sheet quickly came to the rescue!

The fact that you can still see the grid paper through the mat was so helpful and I didn't have to worry about ruining the paper...because you know I can't ever waste any DSP that I love!

I'm headed out to clear sidewalks for my 3rd time today, then planning on spending more time stamping my birthday away!

Have a fantastic day!

Happy Stamping!

Eat the Cake ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back once again another fabulous hop for you to enjoy!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...we promise you will love them all!

I'm STILL creating birthday cards!  The good news is that I'm actually sending them out to family and friends.  And the even better news is that I still have so many more to create, which means a lot more stamping time for me!

Today I have some simple, yet colorful cards to share with you using the fantastic new Amazing Life stamp set, which can be found in the Occasions Catalog.  This set bundles up with the AMAZING Rectangle Stitched Framelits...so COOL!

I'm normally not a pink and purple kind of gal, but I Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather got me!  I love these colors paired together and blending them together for a fun ombre cake was so much fun!

And since I NEVER have enough guy friendly cards on hand, after a quick change of colors, I had a card suitable for a great guy!

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Whisper White

Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends: Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party

Stamp Set ~ Amazing Life

Other Supplies ~ Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder, Iridescent Sequins, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Sometimes adding some color to a simple stamped image is all you need!  But I can't leave it THAT simple...I always have to add a little bling and texture.  One of these days I might get the hang of simple stamping...maybe!

Next stop on the hop is my friend Cathy...I always love all of her awesome creations! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on backwards to the amazingly talented Amy...her stamping style is amazing!  I can't wait to see all of my Monday Montage friends at OnStage in just a little over a week!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Hey Love, Happy Birthday

January has been a busy birthday month for our family and February is full of birthday's too!  I've been trying to work ahead on my birthday cards this year s I actually get them out on time to our family members.  So far so good...on the 17th day of the year.

Our nephew is turning ONE in a few weeks and the adorable little crocodile {or is it an alligator?} from Hey Love was just right for his birthday card. I love, love, LOVE all of the images from this stamp set!

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White

Ink ~ Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Real Red

Stamp Sets ~ Hey You, Amazing Life

Other Supplies ~ Old Olive Linen Thread, Oh My Starts EF, Polka Dot Basics EF, Simple Stripes EF

It was fun to cut out different pieces of embossing card stock to create the fun patchwork background for this card.  It reminded me of one of my boys' baby books they used to love.  It was a touch and feel book with different textures, much like what I created with the embossing folders!

I'm hoping to get in some more stamping this weekend since I have a 3 day weekend.  My busy boys like to keep me busy running them all over the place, but I'm determine to set aside some time to stamp!

Thanks to the amazing Melissa Stout - AKA The Stamp Doc, several of us sported some pretty awesome shirts during OnStage last week.  With all of the craziness and chaos, we weren't able to get a photo of all of us together at once, but here are a few fun pics of our TGIF Team.

I sure do love this talented group of ladies!

Have a fantastic Friday everyone!

Happy Stamping!
