It took me a bit to figure out what stamp set to use for this challenge before I decided on Coffee with Friends. You may be wondering how this is linked to a favorite walk in life...
During our Covid shut down in 2020, a group of co-workers and myself met near every morning to walk together at our local park. These walks not only kept us moving, but kept us connected in a time where there was so little connection. Our walks would often lead us to some of our favorite coffee shops, where we could take a break outside to enjoy a cup of coffee along the way.
I've kept things pretty simple with this card, focusing on coloring the image of the friends gathered on the park bench, enjoying their favorite coffee drink. I fussy cut the colored image and popped it up on a piece of Basic White, blended with the softest touch of Pool Party. I love the added depth it brings to such a simple card.
The Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and white striped pattern of Les Shoppes was just the perfect pop of extra color. Do you spy the cute cups of coffee and croissants in the background too? They look good enough to eat!

ReplyDeleteI see a lot of people go to our local Tim Hortons coffee shop and go through the drive through to get their coffee.....then a few of them park in the back parking lot,,,,take out their lawn chairs and have a socially distanced coffee break. It is really cool to see.

ReplyDeleteGreat card! Who doesn't love a coffee with friends after a walk - it brings back memories for me too. Love the subtle stamping on the card front and the popping up of the friends on their bench is a great detail.
