How Will I Live Without...

The Control Freaks are back with an all new Blog Hop this month.  We took a short break last month and we are so happy to be hopping along again!  You may have just arrived from Debbie Henderson or you may just be starting. Either way, don't miss a single stop!

This month we are sharing our favorite stamps, dies, embellishments, papers (and so much more) that we just can't live without!  Every time we have to say good bye to retiring products, I can't imagine my stamping life without them. Anyone else feel that way?  I'm here to share a few of my favorite retiring things before they are gone for good.
I am seriously sad that the Sweet Strawberry bundle is retiring.  I love these sweet strawberry images and sentiments.  I love them even more as a pop of color with a Basic Black card base.

I stamped the floral image on a piece of Basic White, coloring the flower in Petal Pink and leaves in Mossy Meadow.  The strawberries were colored in Real Red, with their tops and extra leaves in Mossy Meadow too.  The berries were punched out with the Strawberry Punch and popped up for a little extra dimension.  The simple Thank You sentiment was heat embossed in white on Basic Black with a little strip of  black and white Pattern Party DSP.  It was finished off with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a little Playful Pets bakers twine.

Next up is another one of my favorites...Tasteful Touches and the coordinating Tasteful Labels Dies.  I love the floral image in this stamp set and the dies...oh, how I will miss them!  I use these dies on almost EVERY card I make!
This card is a case of one of this months Crafty Carrot Collective projects, created by Cindy Schuster...I loved the layout of her project and just had to use it!  I started off by combining two patterns from In Good Taste DSP, adding a diagonal strip of Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  Some flowers, colored in Balmy Blue, and a few Granny Apple Green sprigs were tucked in behind the sentiment, along with a few more gold leaves.  A few Brushed Brass Butterflies finished things off...isn't it pretty?

Next up is Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics...isn't she amazing?!?!

Thanks for hopping along with us!

Happy Stamping!

Beauty of Thankfulness

Hi friends!  Happy Thursday...right???  I had to stop and think about what day it really was.  During the summer, while I am off, I tend to lose track of what day it is.  And I'm okay with that!  I do know that no matter what day of the week it is, I can always find a new Freshly Made Sketches sketch to play along with!
I love the simplicity of this weeks sketch!  The Beauty of the Earth DSP has been sitting on my desk, just waiting to be used, and this weeks sketch was the perfect time to put it to use!
I love the colors in this pattern!  They remind me of fall...my second favorite season, after summer of course.  A simple strip of this DSP was all I needed!  Some Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Basic White stood in the background while the warm colors in the DSP stole the show.
I love this Night of Navy sentiment from the Best Year stamp set, which fit so nicely inside this Tasteful Labels die.  The sentiment alone was little sad, so I added some Misty Moonlight stamped-off leaves from tasteful touches.  These leaves pair up perfectly with the DSP!  A touch of texture was added with the Bark 3D embossing folder and I dressed things up just a bit with some Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and Genial Gems.  For a simple card, I felt like I had ALL the things out on my desk!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy Stamping!

Tasteful Touches Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday friends!
I had grand plans of sharing this post at the beginning of the week, as this was one of the cards I made in honor of World Card Making Day.  BUT....as you can tell, that didn't happen!  Life goes on, right?!?!
This card was a special request from one of my long time customers.  Her niece is turning 30 this month and she wanted a special card for her.  I love getting special requests!
My friend requested purple flowers for her niece's card and the beautiful flower from the Tasteful Touches stamp set was just perfect for a fall flower birthday card.  I stamped two flowers in Memento then colored them with Blackberry Bliss and a little touch of Mango Melody.  I fussy cut the flowers, layering them with a few In Good Taste Elements and a Tasteful Label stitched sunburst peeking out.  Any special request card requires a special sentiment as well.  Peaceful Moments is my latest go-to for beautiful birthday sentiments!
Don't you just love the textures in the In Good Taste DSP?  This is one of my favorite packages of Designer Series Paper!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, In Good Taste DSP
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Blackberry Bliss, Mango Melody
Stamp Sets ~ Tasteful Touches, Peaceful Moments
Other Supplies ~ In Good Taste Elements, Tasteful Labels

While I admit my laziness in blog posting, I am good about keeping up with my scheduled posts throughout each month.  Check back soon for the upcoming Monday Montage Blog Hop!  And who knows...I may even surprise you with another post over the weekend.

Have a FANTASTIC Friday!

Happy Stamping!

Sneak Peek Control Freak Style

Welcome to an all new Control Freaks Blog Hop!  You may just be getting started or you may have arrived here from Connie Babbert's blog...didn't you LOVE what she created?!?! We are back and ready to share some awesome Pre-Order creations with all of you!

I really wanted to order ALL the things on the Pre-Order, but I managed to have a little bit of control and only ordered half of them. LOL!
World of Good and In Good Taste Suites caught my eye as soon as I saw the new catalog, so I was SUPER excited to see them both on the Pre-Order!

Okay...you are ALL going to want the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  It is so GORGEOUS!  The visual textures in this paper is absolutely AMAZING!  I CASE'd a couple different cards in the catalog to create this card.  I cut out several different patterns of DSP using one of the stitched Tasteful Labels Dies and adhered them in a tile-like pattern.  Next, I stamped two of the beautiful flowers from Tasteful Touches stamp set, colored them in Rocco Rose and fussy cut them out.  I added a few background stamps, along with some Linen Thread and In Good Taste Elements to complete the card.  I love the colorful flowers against the neutral tiles.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Gray Granite, Whisper White, In Good Taste DSP
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Rocco Rose, Mango Melody
Stamp Set ~ Tasteful Touches
Other Supplies ~ In Good Taste Elements, Linen Thread, Tasteful Labels Dies

I was so drawn to World of Good Suite...I love all of the colors, textures and images. This suite will be perfect for creating cards and scrapbook pages filled with travel memories.
In an effort to make the best of the current circumstances for so many seniors, I've been making lots of graduation cards.  The Beautiful World are not only good for travel, but for graduates and new beginnings as well!  I broke out my Aqua Painters and painted the world...in bright and cheerful colors.  I used the same colors, Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Coastal Cabana and Old Olive to stamp a fun background, and added a few splatters as well. I heat embossed the sentiment in white, which I fussy cut, of course!  I topped the world off with a fun little graduation cap.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Watercolor
Ink ~ VersaMark, Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Beautiful World
Other Supplies ~ World Map Dies, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Black Embossing Powder

I was inspired by this amazing card (below) created by our very own Stampin' Up! Concept Artist, Kaitlyn Zumbach. I LOVE this creation and just had to CASE it.
