2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop - Day 1

Hello to all my stamping friends and welcome to Day One of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  Each one of us will be sharing all of our amazing creations that we submitted to Stampin' Up's 2013 Artisan Design Contest.  For the next 10 days you will get to see the talent from an amazing group of women.  Be sure you check back each and every day so you don't miss out on ANY of the projects!  If you've just come from Amy's blog, you were treated to her amazing talent.  If you are just getting started, keep on hopping until you get back to me. If you happen to get lost along the way, just use the "back" or "next" button at the bottom of each blog and you'll get right back on track.

Ok, are you ready for my first creation?!?!?
This wreath was something that I had made for my own front door, but after looking at it for a couple weeks I decided to take the leap, push my creativity a bit and enter the contest.  I had no expectations and freaked out (with excitement) when I got the message from Amy letting me know I was one of the 20 Finalists!  So to any of you who have ever thought about entering, but didn't think you would have a chance...take that leap.  You never know what might happen!

Here is a close up of the flowers and frame.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
Other Supplies ~ Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (Retired Spring Catalog Item), Neutrals Brads, Tea for Two Designer Fabric
MDS ~ Lemonade Stand
The frame came from a local craft store

I do not sew, but I loved all of the Stampin' Up! fabric...kind of sad it's gone.  And I was really sad to learn we would not get any of our projects left, but I do still have enough supplies to make another one :-)  I just pulled some of the fabric through some of the vines wrapped around the wreath, then added some of the cute flowers from the Pop-Up Posies kit, along with a few other hand made flowers.  It took me a while to find just the right frame for this wreath, but when I found it, I bought 3!

Now it's time to hop on over to Cathy's blog to see her first FAB-ulous creation!
