2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop ~ Day 10

Hello to all my stamping friends and welcome to Day Ten ~ our last day ~ of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  This whole adventure has been absolutely amazing!!!  From working on all of my projects, to getting the phone call from Stampin' Up!, to meeting all of the other AWESOME Finalists...every single step of this journey has been the BEST!  I hope you have enjoyed ALL of our projects that we submitted...I know I have!  And guess what?!?!?  We aren't done!  Beginning Monday, August 26th, the 10 of us will have a new blog hop, which will post every other Monday.   Watch out for MONDAY MONTAGE!

If you've just come from Amy's blog, you were treated to her amazing talent.  If you are just getting started, keep on hopping until you get back to me. If you happen to get lost along the way, just use the "back" or "next" button at the bottom of each blog and you'll get right back on track.

Today I have my favorite card for you.  I had fun creating this romantic, fun and flirty card...hope you like it too!  It's a bit difficult to see in the picture, but I created a square around the LOVE sentiment using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I doubled the lines up and pierced holes in between each line...subtle little effect that really added to the card.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, First Edition DSP
Stamp Sets ~ Morning Post Alphabet, Hearts a Flutter, Collage Curios, En Francais
Ink ~ Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
Other Supplies ~ Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Paper Piercing Tool, Soda Pop Tops, Crochet Trim, Small Heart Punch, Owl Builder Punch, 1" Circle PUnch

Thank you for hopping along with all of us over the past 10 days and for leaving some love!  Your comments help me keep me motivated to create!

Don't forget to come back next Monday to see what we have in store for you next!

Now it's time to hop on over to Cathy's blog to see her first FAB-ulous creation!

2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop ~ Day 6

Hello to all my stamping friends and welcome to Day Six of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  We're on the downhill slide of our hop...I hope you are all loving the amazing creations!  For the next 3 days you will get to see the talent from an amazing group of Artisan Finalists.  It has been so much fun seeing all of the details of each project up close...so much better than trying to see them in between 6000+ other people :-)

Today I have my second 3-D project to share with you.  This was my down-to-the-wire, what-in-the-world-am-I-going-to-do project.  I had just made some onesie cupcakes for a friends baby shower and that's when the idea for this fun little cupcake box popped into my head.

I tore one of the Kraft Boxes apart and used the Window Frame Framelits to cut a window out in the front and top of the box.  (The box went back together easily with some sticky strip)  After stamping the entire box with the Distress Dots, I adhered a piece of Window Sheet to each opening.  You really can't see it in the picture, but I also created a little holder inside the box. I used the Window Frame Framelit again, creating a little spot for the cupcake to sit in and not fall over.  I used the cut out portion of the Kraft Box as my tag.

Here is the little cupcake that was in the inside.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Subtles DSP Stack, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Whisper White Craft Ink, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Sets ~ Distressed Dots, Tiny Tags, Baby Boutique
Other Supplies ~Kraft Box, Designer Rosette Bigz, Jewelry Tag Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Two Tone Ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Hello to all my stamping friends and welcome to Day Five of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  I hope you are all loving the amazing creations that we submitted to Stampin' Up's 2013 Artisan Design Contest.  For the next 5 days you will get to see the talent from an amazing group.  We are half way though showing you all of our projects and I continue to be amazed each and every day!  This group of ladies is full of awesome-sauce!

Be sure you check back each and every day so you don't miss out on ANY of the projects!  If you've just come from Amy's blog, you were treated to her amazing talent.  If you are just getting started, keep on hopping until you get back to me. If you happen to get lost along the way, just use the "back" or "next" button at the bottom of each blog and you'll get right back on track.

Today I have my second scrapbook page to share with you.  This is the page that had me in tears when I saw it at Convention...seeing my sweet boy brought out all of the {many} emotions that had been brewing in the weeks leading up to Convention.
This page was created in MDS using the On the Go download.  All of the pictures are from Owen's first year of life.  It was a lot of fun remembering each and every picture as I put this page together.  And since this was done in MDS, I have my own copyhanging up in my craft room :-)

This picture isn't great and you can't see the journaling very well...it says "With a smile that lights up a room and dimples that never end...Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet blue eyed boy"

Thanks for stopping by today!

2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop ~ Day 3

Hello and welcome back to Day Three of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  Each one of us will be sharing all of our amazing creations that we submitted to Stampin' Up's 2013 Artisan Design Contest.  For the next 7 days you will get to see the talent from an amazing group of women.  Be sure you check back each and every day so you don't miss out on ANY of the projects!  If you get lost along the way, no worries!  Just use the "back" or "next" button at the bottom of each blog and you'll get right back on track.
Today I have a card to share with you.  This card was a little bit out of my comfort zone...I am not a frilly, flowery kind of girl, but part of the reason I decided to enter this contest was to push myself out of that comfort zone and see what I could do.  This card turned out just as I had pictured it in my head and I was pretty happy with how it turned out.
The base of the card is Window Sheet, something that I don't think to use very often for a card.  I need to remember to do this more often!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Baja Breeze, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Baja Breeze, So Saffron
Stamp Sets ~ Everything Eleanor, Mr. & Mrs.
Other Supplies ~ So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon, Crochet Trim, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Large Scallop Edgelit

I hope you are all enjoying the projects we have shared with you so far.  Be sure to check back again tomorrow for more of our great creations!

Now hop on over to Cathy's blog to see her first FAB-ulous creation or you can skip on back to Amy's blog to see her AMAZING-ness!

My next project is one of my scrapbook pages.  I LOVE to scrapbook, but don't take the time to do it very often.  I had a lot of fun putting this page together, especially since it is all about one of my favorite places to be...the beach!  If fact, as you read this, I am enjoying a little beach get away to this very beach...Pacific City, OR.

2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop - Day 1

Hello to all my stamping friends and welcome to Day One of the Artisan Finalist Blog Hop!  Each one of us will be sharing all of our amazing creations that we submitted to Stampin' Up's 2013 Artisan Design Contest.  For the next 10 days you will get to see the talent from an amazing group of women.

Ok, are you ready for my first creation?!?!?
This wreath was something that I had made for my own front door, but after looking at it for a couple weeks I decided to take the leap, push my creativity a bit and enter the contest.  I had no expectations and freaked out (with excitement) when I got the message from Amy letting me know I was one of the 20 Finalists!  So to any of you who have ever thought about entering, but didn't think you would have a chance...take that leap.  You never know what might happen!

Here is a close up of the flowers and frame.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
Other Supplies ~ Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit (Retired Spring Catalog Item), Neutrals Brads, Tea for Two Designer Fabric
MDS ~ Lemonade Stand
The frame came from a local craft store

I do not sew, but I loved all of the Stampin' Up! fabric...kind of sad it's gone.  And I was really sad to learn we would not get any of our projects left, but I do still have enough supplies to make another one :-)  I just pulled some of the fabric through some of the vines wrapped around the wreath, then added some of the cute flowers from the Pop-Up Posies kit, along with a few other hand made flowers.  It took me a while to find just the right frame for this wreath, but when I found it, I bought 3!

Now it's time to hop on over to Cathy's blog to see her first FAB-ulous creation!
