Swampy Birthday Wishes ~ HSSIC297

Hello stampers!

It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge and this couldn't have come at a better time! As I mentioned yesterday, we had one epic alligator party over the weekend...yes, I said alligator!  My stampin' BFF, Wendy, drove all the way up to Washington State to get swampy with us, and she just so happens to be celebrating her birthday today!  Happy Birthday Wendy!

Needless to say, this fun challenge inspired a "swampy" birthday card :-)  I love the bright and vivid colors in the Animal Expedition DSP...and the alligator design was perfect for today's creation!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Animal Expedition DSP
Ink ~ Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Call Me Clover, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam
Stamp Sets ~ Labeler Alphabet, Lined Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ 2" Circle Punch, Starburst Punch, Glitter Enamel Dots

When you have an alligator party, you must dress up like a bunch of hillbilly swamp people!  Seeing everyone's attire was GREAT!!!  Some of our friends really went all out!
Wendy and I went with the cute hillbilly look, but my hubby went all out with the coveralls, cowboy boots and cowboy hat.  I'm pretty sure it's been a good 10 years since he pulled out that cowboy hat...LOL!  And yes, that's a real alligator on the grill and he was DELICIOUS!

Not only is today Wendy's birthday, but it's also the first day of school for my boys!  Time for 1st day of school pictures and getting them all off to school!

Have a happy Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!

Make a SPLASH ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

My summer boy turned 7 on Sunday and we had fun celebrating his birthday all weekend long!  We had a pool party with his buddies on Saturday, which was perfect for a 100 degree day!  Since he's still not too cool for a "mom-planned" birthday party, we went with a fun pool party theme :-) And when there is a theme party, you know I had to make him a card that went along with the theme!

Thanks to my dear stamping friend Pam, I was able to borrow her Layering Alphabet Edgelits to create a bright and colorful SPLASH!  With a cute beachball and a cannon-ball-splash of a background, this was the perfect way for Mr. Owen to splash in to 7!
 Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Glossy White, Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Balmy Blue
Ink ~ Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam
Stamp Set ~ Labeler Alphabet, Broadway Birthday
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Glitter Enamel Dots, Layering Alphabet Edgelits

I can't believe my baby is already 7!!!  Where in the world does the time go?!?!  This boy of mine is a ball of endless energy, full of smiles and is my favorite little slumber party buddy when is dad is at work.  Happy Birthday Mr. Owen!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

A Berney Bulldog Thank You

Hello stampin' friends and happy Thursday!

This week has FLOWN by!!!  So quickly, that I almost didn't have time to get anything made for teacher appreciation week!  I had big plans of making something super cute for Owen to take to his teachers this week, along with a card.  Well, as you can see, I only managed a card.  But it's the thought that counts...right?!?

Thanks to the fun Lined Alphabet stamp set and the super cute book images from the Hand Delivered hostess set, I was able to make a quick card for both teachers and send them off to school this morning.  Just in time since there is no school tomorrow!  Oh...and of course I had to add a Berney Bulldog, the mascot for Owen's school. The Sitting Pretty stamp set will forever be called the Berney Bulldog set in our house.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape
Stamp Sets ~ Lined Alphabet, Hand Delivered, Labeler Alphabet, Sitting Pretty
Other Supplies ~ Pretty Park Framelits, Whisper White Bakers Twine

Okay, who else saw the new 2018-2020 In Colors and immediately thought of teachers???  These colors are so bright and cheerful and FUN!!!  I am loving ALL of them!

Don't forget to have your kiddos thank their teachers this week...even if it's just a simple thank you straight from their mouth.  A word of thanks goes a long ways, especially for our teachers and all that they do!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Lined Alphabet Celebration ~ OnStage Las Vegas Display Samples

Happy Friday stampers!  I'm back again with a couple more OnStage Display samples to celebrate Friday!

If you follow my blog, you'll probably notice this mini treat bag is a CASE of a card I made a couple weeks ago. I am really going to miss the Tutti Frutti DSP after the Occasions Catalog is done.  It's so bright and colorful!

I used the Celebrate You Thinlins and the amazing Lined Alphabet stamp set, which will be available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  There are some AWESOME framelits that coordinate with this set as well that I can not WAIT to get!  Be prepared to be amazed by how cool they are!

My second project is a festive little birthday card.  I used the Picture Perfect Party DSP, along with some Tutti Frutti sequins and a little bit of Lemon Lime Twist Ruffled Ribbon, which you will see in the upcoming Annual Catalog.  The sentiment was made with the Lined Alphabet and Labeler Alphabet sets.  I added a few polka dots of color inside the  the letters to brighten them up.

We have a weekend FULL of baseball, but be sure to check back on Monday for more samples!  I wish I was going to be home this weekend to play with my new box of pre-order fun, but I do love me some baseball!  Maybe I'll throw together a quick kit to put together in between games :-)

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping!

World's Greatest Guy

Happy Tuesday stampers!

It's time for a little inspiration challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
These pictures gave me some great inspiration to create my hubby's birthday card.  I always seem to make him a birthday card with some sort of deer since hunting season always kicks off shortly after his birthday each year. Combining Always An Adventure with the Merry Tags Framelits made for the perfect card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pacific Point, Pool Party, Whisper White, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Kraft
Ink ~ Pacific Point, Basic Black
Stamp Sets ~ Labeler Alphabet, Greatest Greetings, Always An Adventure
Other Supplies ~ Woodland Embossing Folder, Outdoor Adventure Framelits, Merry Tags Framelits, Burlap Ribbon

I loved how this card turned out and my hubby loved it too!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out all of the amazing HSS inspiration crations from the team and join along in the fun!

Dino Adventure Birthday

Happy Friday stampers!

And Happy 5th Birthday to my baby boy!  It seems crazy that my sweet boy is already 5...time goes by way too fast!

With the craziness of our house selling and getting ready to move, we didn't make any firm birthday party plans since we had no idea where we would be when his birthday rolled around.  I've got a little mom guilt going on because of this, but we will be making up for it when we get moved to our new house with and end of summer party.  We decided we would just have one big party to celebrate his birthday, my hubby's birthday, the new house and everything else we have missed this summer!  We aren't letting today go uncelebrated though!  We are headed to the pool today to have some fun and will have a little family dinner tonight at his favorite pizza place.

Owen has grown up in my craft room and can always be found at my feet playing with his toys while I stamp.  He always wants to know who I'm making a card for and when my next stamp club is so he can see all my stamping friends, who he has made sure are all his friends too!  I asked him what kind of birthday card he wanted this year and he was quick to tell me he wanted a T-Rex card.   He's 100% boy and loves his dinosaurs :)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Cucumber Crush, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Real Red, Neutrals DSP, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Basic Black
Stamp Sets ~ No Bones About It, Always An Adventure, Number of Years, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Layering Squares Framelits, Outdoor Adventures Framelits, Large Numbers Framelits, Brights Sequins, Sprinkles Punch

I had so much fun creating the volcano background for the T-Rex!  It's always awesome when you can find two unrelated items and put them together to make a super fun card!

Thanks for stopping by today!

For the Love of the Game

Hello happy stampers!

Two blog posts in a row...I'm on a roll :-)  Don't get too excited though...this week is shaping up to be another crazy-busy one that is cutting in to more of my stamping time :-(   But, I will take what time I can get and enjoy every second in my craft room.

We have a fun color challenge this month over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It's perfect for the month of July!

Regular season baseball may be over for my boys, but that doesn't mean we are done with baseball.  They are in the middle of a summer baseball camp right now and when they aren't there, you'll likely find them in our back yard or down at the park playing the game they love the most.
It's been a long time since I've created a traditional scrapbook page and I forgot how much I do love to create them!  This is one of my favorite pictures of the baseball season and will be the perfect addition to our baseball themed game room!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Brights DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Real Red, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Layered Letters Alphabet, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Stars Framelits, Circle Framelits

Fall baseball season starts up in September and we are all counting the days!  Until then, you'll still find us at the All Stars games and the Walla Walla Sweets games.   Eat, Sleep, Play Baseball!

Happy Stamping!

Father's Day Cheers

Hello happy stampers and helloooooo Friday!

I've been sneaking in a little early morning stamping this week, which has made for one happy {Craft-somnia} Momma!  Our first week of summer break is behind us and we all survived.

The design team over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration is having some fun CASEing fellow DT members.  I chose to CASE the amazing Melissa Stout.  I LOVE her adorable sailboat card and the layout of the card is simple yet so stunning!

swirlyboat
I chose to CASE the layout of her card, but will be CASEing her entire card too!  It's just too cute!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White, Regals DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Mixed Drinks, Seaside Shores, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Silver Metallic Thread, Smoky Slate 1/8" Stitched Trim

It has been a stressful week with the continued process of selling our house.  The buyers had their home and sewer inspection and we are still awaking the results...the waiting is so hard and stressful!  We are hopeful we will pass this phase and move on to the appraisal so we can move forward in the purchase of our next home.  A few extra prayers would be greatly appreciated if you have a minute :-)

Have a great day and happy stamping!
