Christmas Scraps

We're down to the last few days before Christmas and TGIF Challenges has the perfect Technique Challenge for us...Christmas scraps!

If you are anything like me, you have little bits and pieces of your favorite Christmas DSP that you just can't part with because they come in so handy for projects like this!

I used strips of Merry Bold & Bright DSP along with the Merriest Trees dies to cut out a bright and cheerful tree for a tag to top a Scalloped Gift Card Box.  I covered the top of the box with the Melon Mambo and Poppy Parade stripes pattern and added the recipients name with the soon-to-be-release Mini Alphabet Dies.

Cup of Birthday Wishes

We are feeling a little scrappy over at TGIF Challenges this week!  It's time to use those scraps off your desk and create something fun!

I have a bowl that I throw little bits and pieces of paper, ribbon and embellishments to save for later projects.  It's always fun to pull random scraps out to create something new!

I took this strip of black and white paper, a fussy cut floral image, a die cut heart and a few strands of White Frayed Ribbon and turned it into this...

I added a black and white Cup of Tea tea cup, a little Blushing Bride splatters and ink blended in the background and a Happiness Abounds birthday sentiment for the perfect cup of birthday wishes!

Happy Wednesday stampers!

I know you've seen a lot from me lately with the Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating Sale-a-Bration Carried Away DSP...which means I have lots of scraps from this stack of paper!

It's a good thing SSINK is having a scrap day today because I need to use some of them up!  You should see my scrap bin...it's overflowing.  I am such a hoarder, but then I get so overwhelmed by it that I end up dumping the whole thing once in a while and start fresh.  Maybe I'll stick my scrap bin out at my next stamp club and let everyone pick from it!

Anyway...since I had so many Carried Away DSP scraps in the front of my bin, that's what I went to for today's card.
