Happy Friday friends and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges Color Challenge! These colors had me thinking of a summer creation at first, but after spying the adorable Penguin Place stamp set in my collection, my mind shifted!

After creating a Bermuda Bay sea of fish, I added a couple of fishing penguins, complete with a fishing pole!  I always love it when I see a different use for a stamp in a set!

These cute little penguins needed more than just some water to fish in, so I watercolored a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock with Bermuda Bay, then spritzed it with a bit of water to create an icy-cool background.  I layered a piece of Melon Mambo and Pumpkin pie in the background and added a few Season Seasonal Sequins for just the right amount of bling.

We are enjoying our final days in Cancun.  It has been an amazing trip, but I can't wait to get home and back in to my craft room!

Freshly Made Penguin Pals

Hi friends!  As we wrap up the second Sale-A-Bration of the year, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge had me reaching for my favorite Sale-A-Bration DSP.

Penguin Playmates DSP is the cutest and oh-so-perfect for the fussy cutting crafters, like me!   After die-cutting a couple stripes and polkadots circles, I added these playful little fussy-cut pals.  The soft pine tree pattern of DSP made for the perfect background too!

Be Cool, Be Chill, Be Merry

I love this cheerful sentiment, which is perfect to go along with all of the wintery fun critters.  I love the little bits of glitter in the Opal Rounds, which reminded me a bit of snowballs.  Cute, right?!?!

I may have hoarded a couple packs of this DSP to make some more winter-fun holiday cards!  Sale-A-Bration may be coming to an end, but this adorable dSP isn't going to be leaving my craft room anytime soon!

Penguin Party

 It's time to party like penguins! Have you ever seen how playful penguins can be?  They are the cutest!

Penguin Place is a new Mini Catalog stamp set that has a coordinating Penguin punch.   It is absolutely adorable!  And what makes it even more adorable?  Coordinating Penguin Playmates that you can earn for FREE from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog!!!

This stamp set is full of winter fun images to dress your penguins up, but it also has some images that can be used for a summer birthday card too!

I stamped and punched out two of the penguins, adding some cute little beaks and happy feet.  I even added a little bowtie on one...LOVE!  

I heat embossed the sentiments, cutting Happy Birthday with the Layering Circle dies and die-cutting To The Coolest Friend Ever.  My youngest son loves this sentiment and can't wait to make his best buddies some cards!

Can we talk about how cute these little feet are?!?!  The movie Happy Feet was playing in my mind as I stamped these tiny little penguin toes!

Today's card was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches, but as you can see I kind of strayed away a bit with my penguins.  That's the joy of a sketch...it can give you a starting point, but you may end up with a different finished project.

Merry Christmas You Adorable Animals ~ Control Freaks July 2021

Hello and welcome to this months Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month is all about ANIMALS and I can't wait to see everyone's creations.

Did you just arrive here from the creative Cindy Elam?  I just love her style!  Or maybe you are just starting.  Either way, don't stop until you've hopped all the wary around!

I am sharing a little sneak peek of what's coming in the JulyAugust-December 2021 Mini and SAB Catalogs.  I promise the catalog delay will be worth the wait!  

As soon as I got a sneak peek of he Sweet Stockings Suite, I knew I had to have it!  I am all about cute puppies and kitties, especially when they are peeking out of fun stockings.  And let me tell you...the Sweet Stockings DSP is ADORABLE! I cut a few strips of the fun, multi-colored doodle pattern for the background and added a stitched pattern tag.  The sweet-as-can-be die-cut doggie in the stocking was added, along with a few presents, after coloring them with my Blends, of course!  And the sentiment...isn't it the cutest?!?!  Santa Paws is coming to town!  A little bit of the Pool Party Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and white twine topped the tag and a few Matte Decorative Dots were added for good measure.

August starts our second round of Sale-A-Bration for the year.  This is something new this year and I LOVE it!  Who doesn't love earning FREE stuff?!? The Penguin Playmates DSP coordinates with the Penguin Place bundle and I couldn't resist it!  It is filled with adorable animal images on one side and fun patterns on the flip side.  If you love fussy cutting as much as I do, this pack of DSP is one you'll want to earn for sure!

I fussy cut 3 of my favorite critters and added them to a cool and frosty selection of different DSP patterns and shapes. The sentiments from Penguin Place were heat embossed on some little strips of Just Jade.  I cut bits of them apart to place them across the playful winter scene.  So cute!
