Let it Snow ~ #TGIFC296

Merry Christmas friends!

We are wrapping up the year at  TGIF Challenges with a Theme Challenge...Let it SNOW!
We won't be having a white Christmas where I live, but we will have a frost covered Christmas.  I don't know about you, but I love it when the ground and everything around us is covered in frost!  And while we may not have snow, I can still create some in with paper and ink!
I had not yet pulled out the adorable Snowman Season stamp set and could not let the year go by without inking this cute guy up!  I created a snowy background by heat embossing the Let it Snow sentiment and some snowflakes, then sponged some Seaside Spray to create a wintery wonderland.
I used my favorite Trimming the Town DSP in the background and colored the jolly little snowman cap in Poppy Parade.  Merry Christmas was also stamped in Poppy Parade and fussy cut.  A few little Snowflake Adhesive Backed embellishments and called it good!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Misty Moonlight, Whisper White, Trimming the Town DSP
Ink ~ Poppy Parade, VesaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Poppy Parade
Stamp Set ~ Snowman Season
Other Supplies ~ Snowflake Adhesive Backed Embellishments, White Embossing Powder

I know Christmas may look very different for many of us this year and our gatherings may be smaller, but I wish you all the Merriest Christmas and many blessings in the New Year!

Happy Stamping!

Merry & Bright

We made it through Monday and we are cruising right on in to Tuesday!  I have a busy week ahead of me, so that calls for some simple stamping!
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm preparing for my November card class.  I always try to have at least one quick and easy card for my customers to create and this card is what I will use this month.
Thanks to the fun colors and patterns in the Let It Snow DSP, you can easily create a quick card with just a little stamping.
I stamped some snowflakes from the Snowman Season Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Mint Macaron background.  After adding a few festive layers of Let It Snow DSP, I topped the card off with a heat embossed Merry & Bright from Everything Festive on the bold and beautiful Shaded Spruce.  I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Nested Labels, cutting one side of the label off.
There is always a part of me that wants to add more...more layers, embellishments, ribbon...but I left this card as is!  Sometimes you just have to let the stamps and paper speak for themselves!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, Let It Snow DSP
Ink ~ Mint Macaron, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Let It Snow, Everything Festive
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Stitched Nested Labels

I hope your week is off to a great start!  I'll be back later this week with some other fun projects to share.

Happy Stamping!

It's Snowman Season!

It's September 30th and officially snowman season!  Yes, you read that right...Snowman Season!  We did not get snow in Walla Walla (thank goodness!) but areas all around our state in higher elevations were hit with blizzard like conditions and snow accumulation of almost 3 inches.  WHAT?!?!  Where is our Indian Summer?!?!
Since it was too cold and wet to do much of anything outside, I cozied up in my craft room and built a few snowmen using the absolutely adorable Snowman Season bundle.
This first jolly little snowman was made using the coordinating Snowman Builder Punch.  I love the cute hat and little stick arms.
Who else is excited about the Puff Paint?!?  I remember using this early in my stamping years and was so happy to see it again!  It's so magical watching the snow form...with heat!  This will be great for all of your holiday creations!

Next up is a jolly little guy with a happy little tree.  His cute little arms look like they are ready to catch some snowflakes, so I stamped some just for him!
With gift giving season quickly approaching, I used the last little snowman for a cute tag to finish off a treat box.  With a few strips of the festive Let It Snow DSP, I had the box all dressed up in no time.  This is a great way to showcase several different patterns of DSP!
How can you not smile when you see this frolicking snowman?!?  He will bring joy to anyone's day!

I had hopes that this crazy cold weather would be short lived, but the weather forecast isn't looking too promising.  My hubby is happy with the cooler temps as it makes for a better hunting season, but I'm still hoping for a few more warmer days!
