Merry & Bright

We made it through Monday and we are cruising right on in to Tuesday!  I have a busy week ahead of me, so that calls for some simple stamping!
As I mentioned in my last post, I'm preparing for my November card class.  I always try to have at least one quick and easy card for my customers to create and this card is what I will use this month.
Thanks to the fun colors and patterns in the Let It Snow DSP, you can easily create a quick card with just a little stamping.
I stamped some snowflakes from the Snowman Season Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Mint Macaron background.  After adding a few festive layers of Let It Snow DSP, I topped the card off with a heat embossed Merry & Bright from Everything Festive on the bold and beautiful Shaded Spruce.  I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Nested Labels, cutting one side of the label off.
There is always a part of me that wants to add more...more layers, embellishments, ribbon...but I left this card as is!  Sometimes you just have to let the stamps and paper speak for themselves!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, Let It Snow DSP
Ink ~ Mint Macaron, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Let It Snow, Everything Festive
Other Supplies ~ White Embossing Powder, Stitched Nested Labels

I hope your week is off to a great start!  I'll be back later this week with some other fun projects to share.

Happy Stamping!

Freshly Made Snow Front

Happy Sunday stampers!  I hope you have had a great weekend and are feeling refreshed for a new week! We had a full weekend at home and didn't have a million different things going on...that's a pretty great weekend in my books!
It's always a good weekend when you get some crafty time in, right?  I'm getting ready for my November card class and this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch was just the inspiration I needed for the beautiful Snow Front stamp set.
I paired up this amazing stamp set with the Buffalo Check background stamp.  A cozy cabin scene and buffalo check go hand in hand!  I'm pretty sure I used almost every stamp in the Snow Front set to create this scene.  I absolutely love a stamp set that allows you to create a beautiful scenery!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black Real Red, Whisper White
Ink ~ Gray Granite, Soft Suede, Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Real Red, Momento
Stamp Sets ~ Snow Front, Buffalo Check, Dashing Deer
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Rectangles

My older boys are hanging out with friends and my youngest has two of his friends over, which means I have a little bit of time to myself.  I think now is a good time to work on a couple Halloween treats for my kiddos!  Check back later this week to see what I came up with!

Happy Stamping!

Deck the Halls

We made it to Friday!!!  Is anyone else as excited for the weekend as I am?!?!  After being out of town last weekend, I've felt like I've been trying to catch up all week long in all areas of life! I am looking forward to a little extra sleep and squeezing in some time in my craft room.
Even with everything else I had going on, I still made time to create a few mornings this week and had some more fun with the Brightly Gleaming Suite.  I shared a card earlier in the week focusing on the DSP, but today I am focusing more on the stamps.
You all know how much I love my Stampin' Blends, so you know that I just had to put them to use on the beautiful holly leaves and berries.  I thought about coloring the ornaments as well, but loved the black and white against the bold colors of paper I used.
I haven't used Clear Embossing Power in so long! I forgot how magical it can be!  I love the subtle background of the clear embossed holly...it added just the right amount of elegance.  And who doesn't love lots of layers?!?!  I always love strong, bold colors white some bight white thrown in.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black, Brightly Gleaming DSP
Ink ~ Cherry Cobbler, VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate
Stamp Set ~ Christmas Gleaming
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes, Stitched Rectangles, Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, Clear Embossing Powder

I've been working on projects for my upcoming card class, so check back again this weekend to see what I've been working on!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Christmas Gleaming ~ HSSSC#326

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a little over 2 months away!!!  I have not even starting thinking about Christmas shopping, but thanks to this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge, I'm adding another Christmas card to my collection to send out!

The beautiful Brightly Gleaming Suite couldn't be more perfect for this sketch!  I finally caved and got bits and pieces of the suite and I'm SO happy that I did!  The DSP is absolutely GORGEOUS!
With such beautiful DSP, there isn't really a lot of stamping necessary!  I punched out 3 ornaments with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, added a bit more DSP in the background and only stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment.  This will be a perfect card for my upcoming card class at the beginning of November!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pretty Peacock, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Copper Foil, Brightly Gleaming DSP
Ink ~ Night of Navy
Stamp Set ~ Christmas Gleaming
Other Supplies ~ Layering Ovals, Star Designer Elements, Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder, Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack

Have you started your Christmas crafting yet?!?

Have a great day!

Painted Harvest Sympathy ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

Last week was a busy one and this weekend was super busy as well.  Knowing I would be gone for the weekend, I worked on a few projects throughout the week in hopes of staying caught up.  I did pretty good...but my naughty puppy ALMOST ruined the card I worked on for today's hop.  Thankfully I was able to salvage most of the pieces and finish this sympathy card for a special friend.
Painted Harvest is still one of my favorite stamp sets.  I love that you can create a beautiful flower in ANY color...every color is beautiful!
The flowers and the fern-like leaves were stamped and fussy cut...one of my favorite crafty things to do!  I did use the coordinating Leaf Punch too.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but I used the Subtle Embossing folder, adding just the right amount of texture.  A little bit of Rose Thread and Gold Metallic Pearls were the perfect added touch to go along with the Gold Foil sympathy cut with the Well Written Dies.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Early Espresso, Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow, Gold Foil
Ink ~ Early Espresso, Rococo Rose, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set ~ Painted Harvest
Other Supplies ~ Gold Metallic Pearls, Rose Metallic Thread, Subtle Embossing Folder

It's a good thing this naughty girl is cute...in addition chewing up the first version of this card, she absolutely destroyed my craft room.  I'm pretty sure she had some help from our kitty or she was brave enough to jump up on my desk.  I'm not sure I want to know!  But I now know that pulling Stampin' Dimensionals from the pads of your puppy's feet and long puppy fur is NOT a fun activity!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIF234 Inspiration Challenge

Halloween is quickly sneaking up on us!  Do you have all of your Halloween crafting done?!?!  If you are like me and wait until the last minute, you're in luck!  TGIF Challenges has a fun Inspiration Challenge for all of us last-minute-pro-craftinators!
I usually go crazy buying ALL of the Halloween stuff from the Holiday Catalog every year, but this year time got away from me!  Thankfully my friend let me borrow the adorable Birds of a Feather stamp set so I could create this cute little trick or treat ducky!
Falling behind in purchasing Halloween stamp sets means I also didn't get around to purchasing any Halloween DSP...so sad!  But no worries...there are lots of other DSP options available to create your own Halloween-y designs!  The Brights DSP was perfect to go along with the fun Stampin' Blend colors I chose!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Brights DSP
Ink ~ Pumpkin Pie, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Birds of a Feather
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Shapes Dies, Glitter Enamel Dots, Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Brick & Mortar 3D

I am heading out for a weekend retreat with our Women's Ministry today.  While I will miss my boys and hubby, I have been looking forward to this time away since this summer!  Things may be quite on the crafty front this weekend, but I'll be back on Monday with something new to share.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Bone Appetit Mr. Skeleton

Hello stampin' friends and happy Thursday!  It's a no school day for my kiddos, which means I have a little bit of extra crafty time this morning and got to play along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!
Our crazy weather has me feeling like we've skipped over fall and moved right on to winter, but I'm not going to let some crazy snow (Yes, SNOW at the beginning of October!) steal away some fun Halloween creations.  I had a few pieces left over from the September Bone Appetit Paper Pumpkin kit and used them for a festive Halloween card!
I love the fun skeleton stamps that were included with this kit.  They are such happy little guys!  And all of the fun bits and pieces for the tags made for great embellishments for this card!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, September 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Ink ~ Memento, Gorgeous Grape
Stamp Set ~ September 2019 Bone Appetit Paper Pumpkin
Other Supplies ~ Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Glittered Organdy Ribbon, Silver Metallic Thread

My kiddos may have the day off, but I still have to work.  There are very few days that they have off that I have to work, which they love to give me a hard time about!  I just keep telling them their time will come when THEY have to go to work and I don't...HAHAHA!

Have a terrific Thursday!

Happy Stamping!

Pumpkins and Plaid ~ HSSIC325

I'm back again with an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.    This inspiration photo is all about fall!  It is definitely starting to feel like fall around here and my boys have been asking to visit the pumpkin patch.  I'm thinking we may need to make that trip this weekend!

In the meantime, I'll prepare for fall in a craft way with a fun punch art pumpkin and plaid!
I absolutely adore the Come To Gather DSP.  The patterns and colors are just so beautiful and so fun to mix!  I always love to make some fun punch art pumpkins every year when fall rolls around.  Making one in Pretty Peacock was a first, but I'm kind of loving it!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pretty Peacock, Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Come To Gather DSP
Ink ~ Pretty Peacock
Stamp Set ~ Gather Together
Other Supplies ~ Layering Ovals, Come To Gather Ribbon, Linen Thread, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots, Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder

Colorful Perennial Birthday ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

My boys' social calendar seems to fill up quicker and quicker with each passing week!  They had a bonfire party with their youth group on Saturday, followed by a birthday party at the corn maze on Sunday.  The birthday party was for two girls - EEK! - so I had to come up with a couple of cards for those sweet girls.  Being the boy mom that I am, I haven't had to make many girl cards over the years, but I have a feeling a lot more will be in my future!

Perennial Birthday was the perfect stamp set for some fun teenage, girl friendly cards.  I went for bright and cheerful colors on both cards, but went with two totally different designs.

You know how much I love my Stampin' Blends, right? I'm on the verge of being addicted! LOL!  It was fun to add some color to the cute little flower images in this stamp set.  And who doesn't love black and white stripes?!?  So good with the colorful flowers!
For the next card, I traded in my Stampin' Blends for the Stampin' Write Markers.  After stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment in a rainbow of colors, with the help of my trusty Stamparatus, I used the makers to ink up the "Here's to Celebrating You!" sentiment.  Using the Stampin' Write Markers to ink up any stamp is so much fun and a great technique to share with your customers.
See?!?!  Isn't this FUN?!?!
It love to use the same colors and same stamp set to create two totally different cards.  Another great thing to share with your customers!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody
Ink ~ Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather, Memento
Stamp Set ~ Perennial Birthday
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles, Silver Metallic Thread

#TGIFC232 Color Combo Challenge

Good morning stampers and happy Friday!  We've made it through another week AND it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  We have a beautiful Color Challenges for you this week and can't wait to see what you are all inspired to create!
Two of our small group leaders for our youth group moved away this week.  My boys, along with several other students are pretty bummed and will miss them dearly.  As we sent them off with a surprise dinner earlier this week, all of the students and fellow leaders signed this card to send them off.  We are ALL blessed to be their friend.
I used the fun splatter stamp from Gather Together stamp set to give the card base just a little added color.  Pinewood Planks added some great texture and paired up well with the fun feathers from the Come To Gather DSP.
The Tags & Feathers Elements are amazing! I have so many ideas for these fun embellishments...I just need to find the time to use them!  I added a few Grapefruit Grove Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to bring in just a bit more color.  I finished it off with a little Linen Thread bow...one of my favorite go-to ribbons!

Thank you for stopping by today!
