Cup of Birthday Wishes

We are feeling a little scrappy over at TGIF Challenges this week!  It's time to use those scraps off your desk and create something fun!

I have a bowl that I throw little bits and pieces of paper, ribbon and embellishments to save for later projects.  It's always fun to pull random scraps out to create something new!

I took this strip of black and white paper, a fussy cut floral image, a die cut heart and a few strands of White Frayed Ribbon and turned it into this...
I added a black and white Cup of Tea tea cup, a little Blushing Bride splatters and ink blended in the background and a Happiness Abounds birthday sentiment for the perfect cup of birthday wishes!

What will you do with the scraps in your stash?  Share your project with us this week at TGIF Challenges!

Kind People

We're back with an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Hop along with us and get your fill of creative inspiration!

I pulled out a favorite stamp set from the Annual Catalog that I haven't used in a while.  I forgot just how beautiful Simply Succulents stamp set it, especially paired up with the coordinating Potted Succulents Dies.

Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia, Parakeet Party, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Soft Succulent added some beautiful color to these desert plants, complete with a Smoky Slate Pot.

The delicate succulent die is gorgeous!  I stared out with white on white, but ended up tucking a piece of Soft Succulent in between for just a bit more color.

I'm think I'm going to have to play with this stamp set a bit more before I put it away!

Hop on over to the next blog...
...or take a step back!
Either way, make your way all the way through!

Golden Birthday Growth

Woo-hoo! We made it to Friday AND an all new TGIF Challenges Product Challenge!

I'll be honest...Vellum is one of the papers that I use least, but I have no idea why.  I am always reminded how awesome it is whenever I do use it.

Today I used it as a fun accent overlay for a Paper Pumpkin alternative project.

I cut down one of the card fronts from this months Ten Years of Growth Paper Pumpkin kit and adhered it to a Polished Pink card base.  I tucked one of the laser cut plant leaves behind the vellum circle, which I embossed with one of the Online Exclusive Basics 3D embossing folder.

I cut down the fun patterned strip from the kit, laying that on top of the vellum before arranging the rest of the plants in the adorable little pot.  I was going to stamp the Happy sentiment with the included stamp set, but the gold laser cut Happy was too good to pass up.  A cute little strip for a Polished Pink Birthday was stamped and a few Gold Pastel Sequins finished the card off.

Thank you Paper Pumpkin for coming to my rescue for a last minute addition to this weeks TGIF Challenges Product Challenge!

Sending Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday friends!  Yesterday may have been the first day of spring, but we are still celebrating today with a very springy Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!

As soon as spring flowers start blooming, you can plan on finding me in my flower garden until the autumn leaves start falling.  Stamping is my first love in the creative world, but growing flowers comes in as a very close second.

I love these Sending Smiles blooms and they look so pretty in shades of Balmy Blue, Fresh Freesia Pear Pizzazz. I mixed and matched DSP from the annual and mini catalogs, pulling a Fresh Freesia pattern from Tea Boutique and a Balmy Blue pattern from Country Floral Lane. Add in one of the new Basics 3D Embossing Folders for some fun texture, and I have all of the shopping areas covered!

A bit of yellow was added to the mix thanks to the Sending die-cut that I had left behind in the die envelope.  To tie it all together, the center of the flowers were stamped in So Saffron.  Look at me using those Subtles colors again...I'm beginning to shock myself!

What will you create with these beautiful colors?  Join in the fun and share your project with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Springing into Easter

Welcome to March's Control Freak Blog Hop! This month we are trying something fun...a color challenge!

Are you just starting or did you arrive from the amazing Wickedly Wonderful Creations?  Either way, make sure to hop on all the way through!

Spring is finally making an appearance in my area and that means the Easter bunny will soon be making an appearance as well!  These spring-time colors were perfect for a sweet little Easter card.

I mixed and matched these fun colors with a variety of patterns and textures.  Country Gingham DSP and Highland Heather embossed with the Basic 3D Embossing Folders are too much fun together.

A cute floral necklace of flowers decorated the fuzzy Smoky Slate bunny, tucked into the Granny Apple Green grass and some hidden Easter eggs. I can almost see that bunny nose twitching.

Next up is RubberFUNatics...don't miss out on this colorful creation!
Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Magical Fireflies

Welcome to a Magical TGIF Challenges Theme Challenge !  There are so many options with a fun theme challenge like this, especially on St. Patrick's Day!  A rainbow of some sort was my first thought, but as we ease into longer and sunnier days, I am dreaming of warm summer nights under the stars...that's pretty magical in my eyes!

Lighting the Way bundle was perfect for creating a warm summer night setting, complete with fireflies.  I've never seen a firefly in person, but I always imagine how magical they must be!

I die cut the lantern from a sheet of Copper Foil, adding a glowing light by coloring a piece of Basic White with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  These were also die cut and pieced back in, along with some velum for the sides.

The Starry Sky pattern from Enjoy the Journey DSP was meant to go along with this bundle!  A few glowing gold fireflies in the starry sky leaves me long for summer nights even more!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit us over at TGIF Challenges to see what the rest of the design team has created today...it will be magical, I promise!

The Start of Something Great

It's Friday and time for an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  This is a fabulous sketch...so good that I used it for two cards!

I love, love, love Enjoy the Journey DSP!  The colors, the outdoor images and the fun coordinating patterns are SO GOOD!

I used the Highland Heather and Starry Sky mountain and tree pattern for the first card, casing the multicolored sentiment from the catalog.

I used the other half of the DSP, in shades of Coastal Cabana and Garden Green to create the same card, different colors.

Every once in a while, a stamp set sees me through some moments in life.  This sentiment from Greatest Journey brought me so much peace after weeks of struggling through some changes we are going through at our church.  This sentiment made me realize that even though our church, Moment Church, is going through some changes and working through a new season, it's also the start of something great.  One more reason why I love what I do so much!

Wishing you all a happy Friday! I hope your weekend is amazing!

Better Days in the Desert

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge, designed by me!

Better Days stamp set has been hanging out on my stamp shelf for quite some time, just waiting to be inked up.  This sketch couldn't be more perfect for this stamp set!

I embossed the desert image in white on Basic White, then (gently) colored the hills and valley's in Stampin' Blend shades of Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron and Soft Succulent, with a Pool Party sky and So Saffron Sun.

The wavy Delicate Desert DSP pattern with shades of Calypso Coral and a strip of the Soft Succulent pattern completed the sketch.  A heat embossed sentiment on Calypso Coral was a fun pop of color to finish things off.

Will you join in the fun and craft along with us this week?

Happy Stamping!

Cup of Thank You

The Monday Montage crew is back with another fabulous hop for you!

It was a wild, crazy, busy weekend for us that, sadly, didn't include a whole lot of stamping.  Thankfully I have these fun cards to share with you that I made last month with the Crafty Carrot Collective group.

Conversations Bubbles was the stamp set feature last month and one of the projects was some simple note cards with DSP and a single stamped conversation bubble.  I didn't have any note cards, but I did have a the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes!  Those worked perfect, along with the Tea Boutique DSP for some adorable Thank You cards!

I am a total paper and note card collector, but thanks to fun projects like this, I am getting MUCH better about using what I have before adding more to my collection!

Thanks for hopping along with us!  Click on the Next button below to keep on hoppin'...or if you missed one, click on the Back button to get you back on track.

Colorful Care

Hip hip hooray for Friday and a new TGIF Color Challenge

Want to know a little secret?  The Subtles Collection is probably my least used collection of colors, so this challenge was a bit of a challenge!

I was thinking of an easter card at first, but opted for a sweet little tea cup of flowers instead! I love the tea cup, but I love it even more with the white on white leafy overlay.  I filled the tea cup with Pear Pizzazz greenery, along with some Blushing Bride and Highland Heather flowers.

layered some diagonally cut pieces of Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz paper then embossed them with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Tea and lemons go together like peas and carrots, right?!?

A few hearts from the Tea Cup dies and a few strands of Frayed ribbon were the only embellishments needed.  A few Blushing Bride splatters completed the card.

I'm thankful for a little nudge out of my color comfort zone with today's color challenge!  I hope you'll join along the fun as well!

Happy Stamping!
