Freshly Made Penguin Pals

Hi friends!  As we wrap up the second Sale-A-Bration of the year, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge had me reaching for my favorite Sale-A-Bration DSP.

Penguin Playmates DSP is the cutest and oh-so-perfect for the fussy cutting crafters, like me!   After die-cutting a couple stripes and polkadots circles, I added these playful little fussy-cut pals.  The soft pine tree pattern of DSP made for the perfect background too!

Be Cool, Be Chill, Be Merry

I love this cheerful sentiment, which is perfect to go along with all of the wintery fun critters.  I love the little bits of glitter in the Opal Rounds, which reminded me a bit of snowballs.  Cute, right?!?!

I may have hoarded a couple packs of this DSP to make some more winter-fun holiday cards!  Sale-A-Bration may be coming to an end, but this adorable dSP isn't going to be leaving my craft room anytime soon!

Fall Birthday Wishes ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop and the beginning of Fall!

My momma celebrated her birthday this weekend and the leaves are starting to turn.  I am always inspired by the fall colors when I create my moms card and this year was no exception!
I love the buffalo check print from the Pattern Party DSP and it paired up beautifully with the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies.  I cut some of the beautiful leaves out in a rainbow of fall colors and tucked them behind a Happy Birthday sentiment from Biggest Wish stamp set.  A little strip of Be Dazzling Speciality Paper and a few Sequins for Everything gave just the perfect amount of bling.
I had several die cut leaves left over, so I decided to make a second card, which ended up being the card I gave to my momma.  A Basic Black card base topped with more Pattern Party DSP started this card off.  Then I added another strip of Be Dazzling Speciality Paper, along with a beautiful sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamp set.  The Detailed Leaves were tucked behind the sentiment on one side and along the Be Dazzling strip on the other side.  A little black Bakers Twine bow was tucked in and a sequins were added to this card too.  How did I live this long without Sequins for Everything?!?!
I am embracing the beautiful days of fall and soaking up every last bit of sunshine!  What are your favorite parts of fall?

Be sure to check out the rest of the teams amazing projects.  I promise you won't be disappointed!

Cute Halloween Critters ~ #GDP310

Hooray!  We made it to Friday!
It has been another insanely crazy week at work and stamping has kept me calm in the mornings.  This weeks Global Design Project Sketch Challenge was just what I needed to start my day today!
I've been working on a few Halloween cards and have been having so much fun fussy cutting the cute little ghosts and goblins from the Cute Halloween DSP.
These cuties were perfect for this weeks sketch!  I paired them up with some Halloween stripes and polkadots, also from the Cute Halloween DSP.
My sentiment was, once again, heat embossed in white on black and fussy cut for that perfect placement.
A little bit of Black & White Gingham Ribbon and a few Cute Stars Sequins were the final touch.  So cute!!!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I am certainly looking forward to a break from the craziness of the work week!

If Friends Were Pumpkins ~ #HSSIC373

Happy Tuesday friends!  Fall is in the air and this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge has all of the fall feels!
I just got the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle and was so excited to use it!  I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  Inspired by the colors and pumpkins in the Inspiration Collage, I made quick work of putting this card together.
I created a shiplap background and added a couple of the pretty die cut pumpkins, as well as a pretty stamped and die cut pumpkin.  I stamped and fussy cut the beautiful sentiment in Coastal Cabana, then popped it up with a few Dimensionals.  A few Holiday Rhinestones were the finishing touch.

Sorry for the short and sweet post today.  It's been a week already and it's only Tuesday...this back to school stuff is kicking my tail!  I hope to be back later this week with more projects to share.

Sketchy Control Freaks ~ Controls Freaks Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Septembers Control Freaks Blog Hop!  You may have arrive here from Melissa Davies of Rubber Funatics or you may just be starting.  Either way, make sure you hop your way all the way through!
This month we have a fun sketch that we are all playing along with.  It is so much fun seeing all of the different creations with the same sketch!

Fall is here and I am loving all of the rich fall colors that are all around!  I was drawn to the Harvest Meadow suite again for my first card.  I love the Harvest Meadow DSP and I broke out the Cork DSP for the first time too.  This paper is AMAZING!
I colored the cone flowers in shades of Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze, which were actually inspired by some Mums that I just recently planted.  I used the Diamond Weave Ribbon as part of the sketch, weaving some Linen Thread through the diamonds for a pretty added touch.   The Happy Birthday sentiment from Peaceful Moments was heat embossed on Cajun Craze and die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies.  This card will certainly make for a wonderFALL birthday card!

With fall comes the excitement of Halloween and the fun of creating cute Halloween cards!  The Cute Halloween DSP is so stinking cute and perfect for some adorable Halloween cards for the littles.  I love the cute little bats and fussy cut a few to incorporate into the sketch.
I layered up some fun patterns of DSP and added a heat embossed sentiment from the Cutest Halloween stamp set.  A few of the Cute Stars were added and this card is ready to send out next month!

Next up on the hop is my friend Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations.  You're going to love what she has to share with you today!

Sale-a-Brating Peaceful Prints ~ #TGIFC334

Hello Friday, it's so good to see you!  And it's even better that you bring an all new TGIF Challenges with you!
This week we are celebrating round 2 of Sale-a-Bration!  It has been so much fun having another round of FREE items to be earned!

I am a sucker for DSP, so of course I had to have ALL of the different packs of DSP that you are eligible to earn during Sale-a-Bration.  Peaceful Prints is full of some beautiful patterns that are perfect for your holiday creations.
I created a simple design, showcasing several different patterns of this DSP, including the adorable pattern that coordinates with the Deer Builder Punch in the current Mini Catalog.  The sentiments are from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.  This is, by far, my favorite Christmas sentiment stamp set!

I couldn't stop with just one card....there are some many fun patterns of paper in this pack! I showcased a few more of those patterns, added two more punched deer and used another Christmas to Remember sentiment...fussy cut for perfect placement, of course!
How was I able to punch the deer looking the other way, you ask?!?!  After searching for a few tips online, I found the easiest way is to punch a deer on a sticky note first.  Then hold the deer pattern of DSP up to a light, placing the punched sticky note as a template on the backside of the deer.  Now you can line your punch up with the sticky note and out pops a deer facing the opposite direction.

There is only a short time left before Sale-a-Bration comes to an end.  Don't miss out on the opportunity to earn some amazing products for FREE!

Happiest Colorful Birthday Wishes

Hello and welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We are back and can't wait to share our latest creations with you this week!

Last week was our first week back to school and it was a doozy!  The kids all did great and it is SO good to have them back in person!  But...behind the scenes, it was exhausting.  Cheers to a new week and a fresh start.

What's the best way to kick off a new week?!?!  How about a birthday card FULL of fun colors and patterns?!?
The Pattern Party DSP is my absolute favorite!  I am all about black and white patterned paper, but when you add LOADS of fun color on the flip side, my heart just bursts with happiness!
I love anything with black and white stripes, so of course I choose that pattern for the background.  Then I layered some 1" strips of the different bright and cheerful patterns.
I stamped the birthday greeting from Happiest of Birthdays in Memento on Basic White, then fussy cut around the outer edges.  I popped the sentiment up on a few Dimensionals, added a bit of ribbon, twine and Matte Black Dots and this card was done!  Once again, some fun DSP totally made the card!

Thanks for hopping along with us!  I hope your week is off to a great start and you find some time to stamp this week!

Peachy Birthday Wishes

Hello friends and happy Thursday!  I am so happy to be one day away from Friday, but I could also use an extra work day to catch up this week.  It has been a crazy start to the school year!  Thank goodness for some creative therapy with this weeks CASE the Designer at Global Design Project.  It was just what I needed!
Peaches are finally ripe enough to pick around here, which inspired me to give some love to the Sweet as a Peach bundle!
I decided to CASE Wilma de Korte's layout using the You're a Peach DSP.  The Balmy Blue stripes make me happy!  I added a strip of the juicy peach pattern of DSP across the middle and topped it off with a sweet peach and Happy Birthday sentiment.
A white twine bow was tucked behind the peach and a few little white die-cut flowers were added for good measure.  Kind of a clean and simple card...I'm loving it!

Even though it has been a super busy week at work, I am happy to report I am back to my early morning, pre-work stamping routine.  I love starting my days this way!  Now if I could just find more time to squeeze in some evening stamp time too...I'll have to work on that!

Delicate and Colorful Dahlias ~ #HSSCC372

It's the first day of school here this Tuesday and the official end of summer break.  The first day of fall isn't quite here yet, but we are feeling all the warmth of fall with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #372!

Our season's have been a bit wacky this year, which pushed back the growing season for a lot of my flowers.  Several of my summer flowers are just starting to bloom, including my favorite dahlias.  I love having their beautiful blooms scattered around my yard right now and helping to inspired todays card.

I inked up the beautiful Delicate Dahlias blooms in shades of Petal Pink, Merry Merlot and Cinnamon Cider.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add some two-toned color to each flower before stamping them on a piece of Basic White.

I stamped two extra blooms, fussy cut them and popped them up with some Dimensionals.  A few strips of Merry Merlot and Cinnamon Cider paper, a simple white twin bow and a few Artistry Blooms Sequins were added for just the perfect pop of extra color. And we can't forget the heat embossed sentiment!

I absolutely LOVE this color combination and will be using it again for more fall creations!  I can't wait to see what you all create with these colors as well!

Painted with Love & Joy ~ #TGIFC332

It's Friday and time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  We are jumping into fall with a beautiful color challenge!
These colors have a warm and toasty fall feel to them, but they will also work for some of your favorite Christmas stamp sets as well!  I couldn't wait to ink up the Christmas Season and Christmas to Remember stamp sets in these beautiful colors.
I love all of the sentiments from Christmas to Remember and chose one of my favorites to be the focal point of the card.  I stamped and die-cut the sentiment and started adding bits and pieces and layers from there! Some pinecones, holly and sprigs of greenery were tucked behind the sentiment, as well as a bit of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler & Gold Ribbon.
I love the Painted Christmas DSP, but the colors in the paper didn't quite match up with this weeks color challenge.  So...I created my own DSP with a mix of Christmas Season stamps!  Any one else love to create your own DSP when you can't find one that will work with a project?!?!

I hope you have had a wonderful week and have some fun weekend plans ahead...especially if you get to enjoy a longer holiday weekend!  I know my family plans on making the most of our last weekend before school starts for the year.  Here's to a healthy and in person school year!

Meadow of Fall Flowers

Happy September friends!  It's beginning to feel a bit like fall around here.  The evenings and mornings are cool, but the afternoons are still sunny and warm.  I am all about summer, but I love this transition into fall.

The Harvest Meadow suit is one of my favorites in the latest Mini Catalog. I love everything about it!

I can almost feel fall in these beautiful Harvest Meadow DSP patterns.  They are so warm and inviting!  And don't you just love it when the DSP can totally steal the show?!?!  All this beautiful paper needed was just a beautiful sentiment stamped.

I die-cut each of the floral images in different patterns and arranged them on a couple more beautiful patterns.  This is such a great way to showcase your favorite pack of DSP!

All these pretty flowers needed were a sentiment, a little bow and a bit of bling.  I always love how a simple card can come together and turn out so beautifully!  This sentiment just warms my heart and I hope it does the same for who ever this card gets sent out to.

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of fall in your area and falling back into routine after the summer.
