Botanical Dinosaurs

Happy {masculine} Monday!!!  I hope you all survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday!  My family had a nice, quiet Thanksgiving and I totally avoided Black Friday.  I'll stick with Cyber Monday shopping from the comfort of my own home :-) Don't forget to shop the Online Extravaganza today too...it's the last day!
In addition to Thanksgiving, we celebrated the birthday of our good friend Ethan.  He is my youngest sons best buddy and they are as thick as thieves together!  We can never trust them along!  We got Ethan a cool dinosaur for his birthday (which I was later informed was a tooting dinosaur...sorry Erica!) so I decided to make a fun dinosaur card to go with it...perfect for Masculine Monday over at Stylin' Stampin' Inspiration too.

The new Botanical Gardens DSP in the upcoming Occasions Catalog was the perfect addition to these marching dinos!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Botanical Gardens DSP
Ink ~ Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow
Stamp Set ~ No Bones About It
Other Supplies ~ Botanical Builder Framelits, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (stars), Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Tags and Labels Framelits

I had a lot of fun with these colors!  These are not colors I would normally use together, but I loved how they all worked together.

Be sure to head on over to SSINK and check out the rest of the teams masculine cards!

Happy Stamping!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and were able to spend time with those that you love most!  My family had a quiet Thanksgiving, which was a  nice change!  I'll take all the quiet I can get this time of year :-)

I finally had a chance to pull my pre-order goodies out of the box and put them to use.  (Fingers crossed my work load start to slow down so I can get back to stamping on a regular basis!)  Going Places is one of my favorite suites in the upcoming Occasions Catalog and I could not wait to pair it up with something for Christmas.  The globe image from the Going Global stamp set made for a pretty and different Christmas card.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Sahara Sand, Lost Lagoon, Going Places DSP Stack, Vellum, Silver Foil
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Holly Jolly Greetings, Going Global
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, World Traveler EF, Metallic Sequins, Silver Thread, Black Embossing Powder, Christmas Greetings Thinlits

This seems kind of fitting after the horrific events that took place in Paris...this is a Christmas wish for all!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Into the Woods Thanks

Hello happy stampers!  It's Friday, and we all know what that means...time for an all new Friday Mashup Challenge.  This week we have a fun sketch from Heidi and we are mashing things up with Thankful themed creations.
My aunt was kind enough to let me stay with her last weekend while I attended OnStage Vancouver, so I wanted to send her a thank you card for her hospitality.  I don't get to see my auntie often enough, so any time I get to spend with her is greatly cherished!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Gold Glimmer, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Into the Woods DSP
Ink ~ None
Stamps ~ None
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Metallic Gold Thread, Into the Woods Elements, Into the Woods Cotton Ribbon, Greetings Thinlits

I love that we have such beautiful DSP that you can use for the main focal point of your card...sometimes no stamps are required!

You will have to forgive the wonky lighting in my picture...I'm having a few issues with my editing...technology is NOT my strong suit!

Be sure to head on over to see the rest of the design team creations and play along with us!  We love to see what you create!

Have a happy Friday and an amazing weekend!

Happy Stamping!

I am back home after a whirlwind trip down to Portland/Vancouver and back so I could attend the first Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team.  Our very own Amy O'Neill was selected to be a part of the team and I am over the moon happy for her!!!  I can't wait to see what her and there rest of the team creates this year!

I did apply this year and was not selected, but I was so happy for everyone that was selected that I wasn't even disappointed.  It just gives me another year to work hard and keep trying :-)  The card I am sharing today is the card I made to display on the Artisan applicant board at the OnStage Vancouver event.  I used my favorite set from the Holiday Catalog...Acrony Thank You!

Freshly Made Holly

Happy Sunday stampin friends!  It's a cold and dreary day here, but it's a HAPPY day because I got to STAMP!  I have been putting in lots of extra hours at work the past few weeks, which has cut into my early morning stamping time...BOO!  After my stamp club this morning, I quickly cleaned up and took advantage of the last little bit of my little guys nap time and played along with the latest Freshly Made Sketches.
I often times get carried away with adding layers upon layers and lots of embellishments to my cards, so it's always nice to rein things in and keep things clean and simple, which is why I LOVE to play along with Freshly Made Sketches whenever I can.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Home for Christmas DSP
Ink ~ Real Red
Stamp Set ~ Happy Scenes
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Large Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Home for Christmas Enamel Dots

After seeing the adorable holly leaves that the amazing Cindy Schuster made, I just HAD to give them a try!  Check out the video on her blog to see just how easy these are to make!

I absolutely LOVE the Home for Christmas DPS and may be hoarding a few packs to keep for years to come.  All of the images that you can cut out are the BEST!

Sadly, my stamping time for today is over.  I am hopeful that my work schedule may allow for a bit more stamping this week, but knowing that we are nearing the end of the year, my stamping time may be limited to weekends only for the next few weeks.  I'll take what I can get and be happy though, because even though my job is crazy busy right now, I am so blessed to have a job that I {most days} love!

Here's to a great week for all of you!

Happy Stamping!

You're So Vintage

Happy Friday friends!
We're getting our coloring blocking groove on over at Friday Mashup this week.  Our challenge is to create a decades themed or color blocking project or to mash it up and create a color blocking decades theme project.  This was a really fun challenge to play along with!

While I was a child of the 80's I grew with parents of the 60's, so they were kind of the inspiration behind this card.  A little bit of tie-die background with some embossed blocks of color made for a fun card.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry
Ink ~ VersaMark, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Pacific Point
Stamp Set ~ That Thing You Did
Other Supplies ~ Basic Black Bakers Twine, Circle Framelits, Honeycomb and Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Candy Dots

Be sure to head on over and check out the rest of the groovy creations from our team!

Happy Friday and Happy Stamping!

Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Mossy Meadow

Thanks For Being You

Happy Monday friends!  Did you all survive Halloween and enjoy your extra hour of sleep this weekend?  We had a super rainy Halloween, but still had a ton of fun!  And that extra hour of sleep...well, it didn't happen for me, but it DID give me an extra hour of stamping, so I'll take it!

I got to spend a better part of the day in my craft room yesterday and stamped my little heart out!  I have another busy work week ahead of me, so I tried to work ahead on a few projects and was able to play along with this months Stylin' Stampin' INKspiraiton Color Challenge.
These colors are beautiful together and had me pulling out some stamp sets that I haven't used yet.

Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Bohemian DSP, Gold Glimmer
Ink ~ Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss
