'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

...well, it's actually the morning before Christmas, but the excitement is filling my house this morning!!!  My boys are counting the hours until I am off of work so we can frost our cookies for Santa and have our annual dart gun game.
I am holding on to the fact that my 9 year old boys still believe in Santa and enjoying each and every minute of it this year!  We went on a Christmas light boat tour last weekend for the twins' birthday and got to see Santa across the lake, where he read all of the kids who were on the "Good List". All 3 of my boys were on the list and they are CERTAIN it was the real Santa that was there...I love it!  Their belief is what inspired my card for today...
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Old Olive, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink ~ White Craft, Memento, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Crushed Curry
Stamp Set ~ Holiday Home
Other Supplies ~ Dazzling Details
I am so excited for our holiday traditions that begin tonight and in to tomorrow...I cherish each and every minute of them!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!!

My Babies Aren't Babies Anymore

Nine years ago today, in the very early morning hours, two tiny little men could wait no longer to make their appearance in this big ol' world!  It seems crazy that they are 9 years old all goes by so darn fast!!!
Each year I always create a page on my kids birthday, so I'm sharing their page with you today...
Being that they were 6 weeks early, they put them in the same warmer in the nursery as soon as they were free of all of their wires and IV's...and to this day they still can't stand to sleep apart from each other.  They can be fighting like wild men one minute and laughing and joking the next...the joys of boys!  And the whole twin dynamic this is pretty awesome to witness...they are so in sync with each other and so alike, yet so different.  I love them to the moon and back and count my blessings every single day that they came into my life!
Of course you can't have a birthday without birthday treats for school...Seahawks of course!  I made almost 50 of these tags and nearly 100 cookies for them to bring to their classmates today.  These fun stamps come from Papertrey Ink and are perfect for my football loving boys!
And you can't forget the birthday cards...
The Huskies for Aidan
and the Cougars for Hunter
We are joining them for lunch at school this afternoon then whisking them away for the weekend for a surprise trip to Triple Play where they will get to swim the weekend away at an indoor waterpark, as well as laser tag, bowling and lots of fun arcade games!  It's been hard to keep it a secret from them, but fun to hear them chat about where they think we are going.
Happy Birthday Aidan and Hunter!
And Happy Stamping to all of you!

A House Divided

Happy Monday!!!  (Is there really such thing as a happy Monday?!?!?)  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  It was kind of a low key one for us...just what my family needed before the big birthday/Christmas craziness hits us!
It's time for this months Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Scrapbook Sketch and it's a fun one this month!
The Apple Cup was a few weeks ago and our family had a little fun!  My twins often turn heads when they are seen out, one wearing his Cougar sweatshirt and the other wearing his Huskies sweatshirt.  This little rivalry has been going on with them for a while now, so we decided to place a little bet during the Apple Cup.  The losing team had to cook the winning team the breakfast of their choice, which we (the Husky fans) happily redeemed yesterday morning!  We had root beer milkshakes (my son's request), homemade cinnamon rolls (my request) and breakfast casserole (my dads request).  We ate well and had fun celebrating our win!  I created today's page using a picture of our divided family before we headed home from our Thanksgiving beach trip :-)

I will say, my dad and I are more Cougar fans than Husky fans, but we wanted to be sure to support Aidan in this little bet...and boy did it pay off!!
Be sure to check out the other fun layouts from our design team and be sure to play along!!!
Happy Stamping (and MDS'ing!)

Hello, Mr. Grey Deer

Boy am I ever glad it is Friday!  We had a CRAZY windstorm yesterday, which resulted in a big tree branch torpedoing through our roof into my boys bedroom.  Thankfully, none of them were in their room playing, as they typically are that time of day.  It was a scramble to get things cleaned up on the inside, especially with my hubby being gone at work, but with the help of our fire family and my dad, we got the inside taken care of!  The outside is finally all boarded up, but not before we had some minor leaking due to the pouring rain.  With all of the stress weighing me down, I headed into my craft room early this morning for a little craft does the soul some good :-)
I pulled out some fun Taylor Expressions Dies I've had for a while and decided to play along with this weeks Friday Mashup where the challenge was to use Basic Grey or Smoky Slate & Silver.
I used Smoky Slate Cardstock and Silver Metallic Ink for this card...perfect for a wintery card!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Real Red, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink ~ Silver Metallic Encore Ink
Stamp Set ~ Holiday Home
Other Supplies ~ Frosted Sequins, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Taylored Expressions Birch Tree and coordinating Die Cuts (non-SU)
I will say that I am very thankful we are dealing with rain and 60+ degree temps rather than the freezing rain and below freezing temps we had last week...that would not have been fun with a hole in our roof!
Here's to hoping for a fun and uneventful weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

Naughty or Nice ~ Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop

Or fabulous?!?!
Welcome to December's Stylin' Stampin' INKspiraiton Anything Goes Christmas Blog Hop!  (Whew...say that fast three times!)  Today we are sharing lots of FAB-ulous Christmas projects to INKspire you as we approach the Christmas cruch!
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number FIVE on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Darcy at Dj's Stampin' Place. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
I keep my UPS man (or PPS guy as my 3 year old says) very busy this time of year, so I am always sure to give him and his holiday helper a little treat every year.  I'm pretty sure we have the best UPS drive in addition to always making sure my packages arrive safe and sound, he also always makes time to chat with my boys and even throw the football around with them in the summer.  He's fabulous!
I used the super easy Take Out Boxes, wrapped them with some of the fun and funky Santa & Co DSP and finished them off with the goofy moose from the Visions of Santa Stamp set.
And of course with a gift, you have to have a card to go along with it, right? Keeping with the Santa & Co. and Visions of Santa Theme, I made this silly little card...the UPS guy is sure to get a chuckle out of it!
Be sure to make your way all through all the stops won't regret it!

Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?

Do you ever take a picture and think "I can't wait to get this into MDS!"???  It happens to me all the time and I love it!  One of my twins went to a birthday party this weekend (while his poor brother had to stay home!) and was one of three boys in a house full of Frozen-crazed girls.  The party was Frozen themed and the birthday girl wanted all of her friends to dress up for pictures at her party and Hunter wasn't about to let her down.  Her mom sent this picture to us from the party and I haven't stopped giggling over it!
Isn't it awesome?!?!?  This wasn't the only dress up picture we got either!  He was a witch along with a few other crazy get-up's he put together.  I love that he wasn't embarrassed and had so much fun dressing up with the girls!
My sketch for this fun page came from none other than MDS Monday favorite place to stop for some MDS inspiration!
And a Frozen themed birthday party can't be attended without a Frozen birthday card!  Thanks to the amazing Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek of Song of My Heart Stampers, I CASE'd her super cute Elsa card for the birthday girl!  It's always a special treat for me to make a fun girly-girl in a house full of boys and all!

Today I'm sharing my creation for this months Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration card sketch.
I'm also mashing things up over at The Friday Mashup with a Christmas card mixed with silver and gold.  I'm a bit addicted to sequins these days and may have gotten a little carried away....

Set Sail on the Open Sea

Setting sail on the {warm} open sea sounds so good to me right now...dreams are free right?  It's what I have to get me through these endless days of cold, wintery weather.  We are on day two of two hour school delays due to freezing rain.  I wouldn't be surprised to see it canceled if the rain doesn't's a slippery, yucky mess out there!  So, I'm just gonna keep on dreaming of those warm open seas and sail through this winter :-)
