Wreathed in Joy

It's the end of November and I'm wrapping up the #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge, hosted by the marvelous Martin Stone.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up and make all 30 projects, but I DID IT!

The final challenge is all about the Christmas wreath.  I don't know about you, but I love a fresh, full Christmas wreath hanging on my door.  The pine tree scent is the best!

I used the Decorated Pine Dies to create a giant wreath, complete with some Distressed Gold bells.  What is a Christmas wreath without a big Cherry Cobbler bow and baubles?  Some golden Festive Pearls added just a bit more Christmas glimmer.

The laser-cut sheets from Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack have been a favorite throughout the month.  I heat embossed Happy Holidays in gold and LOVE how it turned out!

I adhered the wreath to a Kraft card front, stamped with a few white snowflakes and some gold Wink of Stella splatters.

It has been so much fun playing along with this month long challenge and I can't wait to do it again!  It was a great way to use all of my Christmas stamp sets and supplies.

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday as we move on to the month of December!  So much fun is yet to come!

Happy Stamping!

Sleigh Bells Ring

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?

We are walking in a Winter Inspiration {Challenge} Wonderland at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.  There are so many wonderful ideas filled in these images and I can't wait to see what everyone is inspired to create!

In my quest to complete the #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge, I chose the image with Santa's sleigh in the background to go along with today's Sleigh Bells Ring theme. What goes better with Santa's sleigh than jingle bells?

I used October's HoHoHo Paper Pumpkin stamps along with Jingle, Jingle, Jingle for a cheerful, colorful Christmas greeting!

I stamped the JINGLE sentiment with Memento and colored the letters with Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends.  I stamped a few color coordinating bells too!

Wondering where the cute little bell came from?  I heat embossed one of the Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets with silver for the perfect little silver bell!  And do you spy the new Hand Drawn Dots in the background?  You can add this awesome background stamp to your collection on January 5th.

Join in the fun and play along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Filled with Peace & Joy

Happy Friday stampers and welcome to this month's TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenge!  I don't know about you, but it seems so fitting to have an inspiration challenge focused on comfort and peace on the day after Thanksgiving. As we make our way into a busy time of year, my hope is that your holiday season is filled with peace and joy!
This card came together with bits and pieces from other cards that were still sitting on my desk. I always love putting scraps to good use! I started by running the shiplap piece though the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I splattered and sponged a little Crumb Cake for just a bit more texture.
I heat embossed the Framed & Festive sentiment in white on Crumb Cake, layering it on top of the shiplap layer.  I tucked a few pieces of Christmas to Remember greenery between the layers, along with some white holly berries.

Next came the big caribou...I love this Reindeer Dies piece!  I die-cut a Crumb Cake and a Soft Suede caribou, then snipped them and glued them together. The hunters in my family approved of this!

I finished the card off with a few wooden snowflake elements from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season, filled with so much peace & joy!

Merry Monday Grinch

It's another Merry Monday and day 20 of #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge.

Today's theme is Bah Humbug.  No Bah Humbug's allowed around here, but we do love the Grinch and how the Christmas spirt enters his heart!
One of the Potted Succulent dies has always reminded me of a Grinch hand, so I put it to good use for today's card.  A little strip of Poppy Parade made the arm and one of the Potted Succulent small floral dies worked perfectly for the snow-white cuff. A Poppy Parade Spruced Up ornament was the only thing this Grinch-y hand needed.

I struggled with a sentiment and ended up going with one of my favorites from Christmas to Remember, stamped in Poppy Parade.  This time of year can sometimes bring out the Grinch in all of us, but remember...'Tis the Season to let your heart grow be filled with the spirit of the season!

Magical Delicate Desert

Happy Sunday stampers!  I'm taking a little break from Christmas creations to dig in to my January-April 2023 Mini Catalog pre-order.
After I saw Sara and Shelli's OnStage presentation with the beautiful soon-to-be-released Delicate Desert Suite, I knew I had to have it!
I love the frames from the Desert Details Dies...so many ideas are brewing in my mind that I can't wait to get out on paper!  Sara created a fun potted plant for one of her projects and I could not wait to create my own.  I love that you can lift the zig-zags and tuck a sentiment or even snip them out for a totally different look. So many possibilities!

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment, which I heat embossed on a piece of Calypso Coral.  The planter, plant and background are all different patterns from the Delicate Desert DSP.  Isn't it beautiful?!?  And what about those Gold Faceted Sequins???  You are going to want to add this entire suite to your stamp room as soon as possible!

Want to know a fun way to create a quick and easy planter?  The Essential Tag Punch!

I punched the tag out, then cut 1/4" off the top.  After cutting the top off, I trimmed a little bit off each side.  I glued the top piece that I cut off on the top to create the lip of the planter.  So super quick and easy!

As much as I have been loving creating so many Christmas projects, it was so much fun to play with some new products! I can't wait to share more with you soon!

Divine DSP ~ Control Freaks Blog Hop

Hi friends! Welcome to November's Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are diving in to all of the Divine DSP in our stash.  Did you just come from Melissa's devine project or are you just starting?  Either way, be sure to hop along and see what we all have in store for you today.

I always love a DSP that can steal the show all on it's own!  Storybook Gnomes DSP is one of my favorites from the July-December Mini Catalog.  In addition to all of the cute gnomes, the forest critters are absolutely adorable!

I fussy cut a few of these forest friends and paired them up with another fabulous print from the pack of DSP to create a cozy little winter wonderland.

The only stamping was the sweet little sentiment.  How awesome is it to have the DSP be the highlight of the card?!?

Keep on hopping to the next stop to see what my dear friend Wendy Weixler has done with her DSP!

Season's Greetings with Merriest Moments

Happy Tuesday stampers and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge!  I don't know about you, but these colors shout Christmas to me.  And since it's freezing cold here, I'm really starting to get in the Christmas spirit!

Merriest Moments has been a favorite stamp set this holiday season and went along perfectly with this weeks color challenge.

I started with a piece of Cherry Cobbler 6"x6" Regals DSP, adding a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle.  As I started adding the poinsettia's, holly leaves and greenery, there was just too much white for my liking.  A smaller Distressed Gold Stylish Shapes circle added just the right amount of glimmer of gold.  I embossed the center of the flowers in white on the Distressed Gold too.  I love the little bit of gold peeking around the edges!

The sentiment was heat embossed on Evening Evergreen with a thin strip of Soft Succulent tucked behind.  And last, but not least, a few gold Seasonal Sequins to finish it off!

Be sure to join in the fun and play along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week!

Merry Monday Trees for Sale

Monday is almost over, but I can't let it get away without sharing a Merry Monday card with you!  It's been a crazy day getting back on track after being gone for OnStage in Anaheim, but I think I'm about caught up!

I've been playing along with the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge and today's challenge was Step into Christmas.  For me, it always feels like the Christmas season is officially here when Klickers Tree stand opens up for the season.  Their beautiful little tree farm was inspiration behind today's card.

I used the Trees for Sale stamp set to create a mini tree lot, complete with festive Solid Faceted Gem lights.  Aren't those lights the cutest?  Those cute little gems helped me to dust off my pack of Melon Mambo card stock for the sentiment.  It's been so long since I've used this color, but you can be sure I'll be using it again soon!

You are also getting a sneak peek of a brand new stamp set, Hand Drawn Dots from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.  These dots stamped in Whisper White on Night of Navy reminded me of falling snow.  There will be so many great uses for this awesome new background stamp.

Loveliest Sunflower

Hello and welcome to this months TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  Knowing that I was going to be in Anaheim for OnStage when this challenge went live, I worked a bit ahead. When I made this card, we were still having some nice warm fall weather.  When I left home yesterday, it was 24 degrees...not so warm anymore!  But this sunflower certainly gives a warm, sunny vibe!

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew that I wanted to pair the sunflower with the Hello Harvest bundle.  Don't they work together beautifully?

Some texture was added with the Gingham embossing folder, along with a few Amber Gems and a bit of Linen Thread.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm in Anaheim this weekend and what does one do when they are in Anaheim...go to Disneyland, of course!  I'm off with some of my favorite stampin' people to spend the day at one of the happiest places on earth!

Spruced Up Celebration ~ Merry Monday Montage

Hello friends!  Welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Hop along with us and enjoy all of the amazing projects these talented stampers have to share today.

I'm still keeping up with my Merry Monday Christmas cards.  Between my own personal challenge of making a Christmas card every Monday AND trying to keep up with the #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge, I will certainly have enough Christmas cards to send out to all of our family and friends this year!

I am all about BRIGHT Christmas colors and absolutely LOVE the colors in the Christmas patterns of Celebrate Everything DSP!   Pulling some of my favorite colors, I die-cut 4 of the adorable packages using the Spruced Up Outline dies.

I was going for a simple card, but the packages felt like they needed a little something extra.  I originally was going to add a bit of the silver Simply Elegant Trim around the sentiment, but after a happy mistake of curling a strand, I knew I had to add it to the packages!
How cute are those little silver curls of ribbon?!?  A Rhinestone in the center helped to hold them in place, while adding just a little bit more bling.  Sweet and simple and all kinds of festive!

'Tis the Season To Be Warm and Cozy

Here we are at November 3rd and we have snow in our foothills.  I'm not ready for winter...fall just got here!

On a happier note, we are also on day 3 of #30daychristmascardmakingchallenge and today's them is Warm and Cozy.  I am definitely ready to be warm and cozy!

When I think of warm and cozy, I think of fuzzy sweaters and a good hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate.  The sweater from Forever Friendship and the mug of something warm from Yeti to Party were just what I needed for this warm and cozy card!

I used the trusty old mirrored image stamping with a piece of Window Sheet to stamp one of the sweaters backwards so they could link arms.  Isn't this the cutest?!?  I tried to do the same with the mug, but photopolymer stamps on Window Sheets are slippery and my hands were a bit too shaky from too much coffee.  I'll have to try again!

A soft Pool Party background with a few die-cut snowflakes from the Celebrations Tag Dies helped to create a snowy background.  It's a pretty simple card, but I love how all of the elements came together!

I am hoping to play along with all 30 days of the challenge, but I can't promise I will get all of the cards posted here.  But you can be sure to catch any that aren't posted here on Instagram.  You can find the link on the home page of my blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Santa's Express Cards

As promised, I'm back today with the rest of my Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack cards!  Scroll on down to see how I turned these...

...in to these!

I used the same Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch for all 4 cards.  I always love a good sketch!

I mixed and matched all of the colors in the card pack...they kind of have a retro feel to them, don't they?  I went with Petal Pink card base stamped with Petal Pink snowflakes for the Holly Jolly Christmas.

Next up is the Ho-Ho-Holiday's Santa on Granny Apple Green with trees and snow flakes.  I love the Petal Pink snowflake strips with the Granny Apple Green!

And now we're on to the holly, jolly Santa on a Poppy Parade card base with trees, snowflakes and presents stamped tone on tone.  I love the wooden Ho-Ho-Ho element from the Memories & More Card Pack.

And of course there's the Mint Macaron presents I shared yesterday.

Have you used the Memories & More Card Packs to make cards?  They are a quick and easy way to make some amazing cards in a hurry! Pick out your favorite pack today and have fun!

All Aboard the Santa Express

Happy Tuesday stampers!  Did you all survive Halloween?!?  For those of us who work in schools, the day after Halloween can be crazier than the day of!  Thank a teacher today!

Now that Halloween is over, it's all about Christmas!  It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge and this one was perfect for the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack!

You all know by now that fussy cutting is one of my favorite forms of craft-therapy, so I happily snipped out these adorable packages and sentiment from one of the 3" x 4" cards.  Aren't the strips and candy canes cute too?!?  All from the same pack of cards!  I had to add in a little stamping and the presents from Yeti to Party were perfect!

I had so much fun creating this card, that I created 3 more using some of the other Memories & More cards.  Check back tomorrow to see them all!
