Beautifully Simple Birthday

Welcome to the last TGIF Challenges Technique Challenge of 2022!  It has been a year full of creative inspiration and I can't wait to see what 2023 brings us!

Today's challenge was all about keeping things simple.  Seems easy enough, right?  Not so much for this momma!  Let's just say this is simple in my creative world!

I have a pile of these beautiful Awash in Beauty DSP floral images sitting on my desk, waiting to be used.  I embossed a piece of Basic White with the Gingham embossing folder, popped up the floral image on some Dimensionals and added a Happy Birthday sentiment on a tag with a bow.

Oh, and I can't forget the Seasonal Sequins.  I've got to use up every last one of these before they retire!

Be sure to check out the rest of the TGIF Design Team creations and join along in the creative fun!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday from all of us at TGIF Challenges! To celebrate our 400th challenge, we have a Product Spotlight Challenge for you to play along with this week.  Can you believe we have hit the 400 mark?!?  So many creative and inspiriting challenges!

We are spotlighting all of the awesome punches for this challenge.  I don't know about you, but the punches were one of my early WOW factors of stamping and I had to have them ALL!  They are fun for all creators of all ages!

I have had the Sweetest Cherries bundle for quite some time and today was the first time I've used it.  Why did I wait so long?!?  This sweet cherry, stamped in Sweet Sorbet, looks good enough to eat!  A simple Soft Suede stem and Granny Apple Green leaves complete the cuteness.
I stamped the SWEET sentiment in Sweet Sorbet, fussy cutting the letters...because that's what I do!  A little boldness was added by embossing Birthday Wishes in white on Basic Black.  These were adhered to a Costal Cabana piece, stamped tone on tone with the cute basket weave stamp.

I added the cute polkadot pattern from the Black & White DSP to tie in the Basic Black sentiment.  A few Seasonal Sequins and a Costal Cabana card base brought everything together for sweet and simple card!

I hope you'll join along in our fun and get punchy with us. Bring our your favorite punches and create something fun!

He's The Man Who's Ready to Ride

Welcome to our last Monday Montage Blog Hop of 2022!  We hope you've enjoyed hoping along with us as much as we have enjoyed creating all year!

You may know by now that I love any DSP that has images that can be fussy cut! As soon as I saw the Ready to Ride DSP in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, I knew I had to have it for my twins 17th birthday cards this year.  Paired up with He's the Man DSP, I was able to create a card that fit each of them so well!

My first born (by 11 minutes) son Aidan is currently in a Construction and Electrical program through their high school and working for a local tree trimming company. The vest, boots and gloves from the Ready to Ride DSP, along with the trees and axes from He's Than Man DSP were perfect for his card!
I mixed and matched a few other patterns of Ready to Ride DSP with a few other elements from He's The Man for a fun collage style card.

My second born son Hunter is currently in a welding program at their high school and working for a local farmer, learning so much!  Hunter can be found in his Carhartt vest at all times this time of year, so this vest from the Ready to Ride DSP was perfect for him! A couple wrenches from He's The Man DSP and some flames from Legendary Ride Bundle were a fun representation of his work and school.
It's a little crazy to think that these boys of ours are another year closer to 18...I'm not sure I'm ready for this!  It seems like it was just a couple years ago that we tucked them into their stockings for their first Christmas! Happy Birthday boys!

Keep on hoping along and see what else everyone has in store for you this hop!

Happy Forest Christmas Trees

It's time for a fun new TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenges!

I just happened to have some scraps on my desk that matched up with these cheerful colors for Christmas!  Not only did I clean off part of my desk, but I have another cute Christmas card ready to go too...that's a win in my book!

I cut some of the happy little Happy Forest Dies trees from Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Coastal Cabana pattern of the Sale-A-Bration Dandy Designs DSP.  That same pattern of DSP was used in the background too!

A bit of Fresh Freesia peeks out from behind the Basic White piece, which is splattered with some Coastal Cabana ink.  I brought in some black and white with the Black & White DSP from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, along with a black strip for the sentiment and another pop of Polished Pink.

How about some of the new Three Twine Combo pack?  The Coastal Cabana spool went along perfectly with this card!  A couple Celebration Tags Dies snowflakes and a splatter of Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds completed this whimsical Christmas card.

It's always fun to combine bits and pieces from ALL of the catalogs in one card!

Wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

True Beauty of Friendship

Happy Thursday friends! Guess what is happening today?!?
I am a guest designer over at Stampin' Through The Catalog!   What an honor and such an exciting opportunity! If you haven't checked them out over on Instagram or Facebook, be sure to visit them today.  Their team of 3 amazing Independent Demonstrators in Utah stamp their way through the catalogs, inviting everyone to join along with them. So much creative inspiration can be found there!
I chose the True Beauty Bundle from the annual catalog, along with the Awash in Beauty DSP to share with everyone.  I love DSP that has images that can be fussy cut and chose one of the beautiful floral images as the focal point of the card.

The card front is a couple layers of Balmy Blue, which I stamped the top half with a few of the floral images from the stamp set, also in Balmy Blue.  I snuck in a bit more DSP on the bottom, tucked behind a strip of Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Double-Stitched Ribbon from the Mini Catalog.

The sentiment is stamped in Merry Merlot and fussy cut.  Distress Gold accent Deckled Rectangle and a couple Organic Beauty Dies springs added just the right amount of shimmer and shine.  This all went on to a Basic White card base, my favorite!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out Stampin' Through The Catalog and join in their weekly fun!

Grow Through What You Go Through

My January-April 2023 Mini Catalog pre-order arrived on Monday and I could not wait to open the box and create!  My box was full of so many fun new stamp sets, dies, paper and embellishments that I wasn't sure where to start.  I finally decided on the AMAZING new Way to Grow stamp set and I was NOT disappointed!  I love any stamp sets that have plants!

I was a little bit overwhelmed by all of the different stamps in this set, but as soon as I started inking them up, it was magical!  This stamp set is so me and creating this card was a true therapy session!

I stated out by stamping the pants in Starry Sky, adding a simple white t-shirt with the upper body stamp.  A cute little cactus in the pot and a Calypso Coral bag reminded me of shopping in my favorite downtown plant shop this summer.
I inked the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder with the Whisper White stamp pad and embossed a piece of Cajun Craze to create a weather brick wall look, just like in the plant shop.  A few more plants were stamped in some of the cute little pots and fussy cut for the perfect placement. I think I used almost every green ink pad I own for the plants!

Can we talk about this sentiment for a minute? This sentiment could not be more true for me and things that I have gone through in life.  You can always find ways to grow through what you go through!

You can be sure you will see more projects made with this stamp set!

Framed Florets Birthday Wishes

Welcome to the last Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge of 2022!  We have a beautiful sketch for you to play along with!

I love the opportunity for lots of layers!  I didn't have much time to play with the Fitting Florets Collection before I got wrapped up in all of my Christmas creations.  This sketch was perfect for all of the beautiful Fitting Florets DSP!

I paired up a Polished Pink pattern with a smaller floral pattern of the DSP, using a strip of Blushing Bride to go along with the sketch.  I used the oval frame from the Framed Florets Dies, cutting out a Polished Pink frame with a Basic White inside.

I stamped the sentiment in Polished Pink, because you can't have too much pink, right?!?  I fussy cut a few floral arrangements from another pattern of DSP to go around the frame.  I struggled with the ribbon/bow part of the sketch and settled for some strands of gold Simply Elegant Trim instead.  A few Brushed Brass Butterflies were the perfect final touch.

I hope you have had as much fun as I have creating along with Hand Stamped Sentiments this year.  We are taking a little break over the holidays, but will be back in 2023 with another year of brand new challenges!

Sending SUNSHINE Your Way

Happy Friday friends and welcome to this months TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!

I finally got back to some of my new pre-order goodies and had some fun with the Delicate Desert Suite.  The winter months are long and dreadful for me, leaving me craving sunshine and warmth.  Since I can't convince my family to move somewhere that's it warm year round, I'm finding sunshine and warmth in the beautiful Delicate Desert DSP.

I chose the pattern that reminds me of the setting sun for the background, adding another die-cut layer of Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya DSP to go along with the sketch.  I stamped each of the flowers in Petal Pink, daubing some Calypso Coral around the edges and center.

I cut the plant and fun aztec design using the Desert Details Dies from one of the Soft Succulent patterns of DSP.  The plant leaves were tucked behind the flowers and the aztec piece was perfect the center the sentiment around.

I pieced a couple sentiments together to make the perfect sentiment...Sending SUNSHINE Your Way!  A few Gold Faceted Sequins were tucked here and there, along with a golden strand of Simply Elegant Trim for just the right amount of shimmer and shine.

This is a great sketch and I hope you all play along with us!

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Happy Wednesday stampin' friends! Even after 30 days of Christmas cards last month, I'm still not ready to put my Christmas stamps and supplies away yet!

This bright and cheerful card was inspired by the latest Global Design Project CASE the Designer.  I love the beautiful flowers on the white background with a bold black and white sentiment!
I added a bit more color to my card, using the ornament pattern from the Celebrate Everything DSP.  I stamped the festive ornaments from Decorated with Happiness in colors to coordinate with the DSP, all hanging from Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce pine branches.  Or maybe they are spruce branches... :)

I used one of my favorite Framed & Festive sentiments, heat embossed on Basic Black, just like Kayla's card.

I still have a few more Christmas cards to finish up, so stay tuned for more!  And hopefully I will have some fun Mini Catalog pre-order projects to share with you soon!

Greetings From The North Pole

It's another Merry Monday AND time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!
After a busy weekend of kicking off the holiday season, my stamp time was pretty limited.  Thank goodness for November's From The North Pole Paper Pumpkin Kit!
With some of the left over bits and pieces I didn't use, along with the add-on bags, I created a couple alternative projects to share with you today!

First off is a simple, yet festive card.  I cut one of the add-on bags, layering it on top of a piece of Cherry Cobbler.  I cut the tails off of the Mint Macaron glitter banner to use as an accent strip for the Express Delivery stamp.  I tied some the Mint Macaron bakers twine around it to cover the hole at the top of the tag.  A few of the little snowflakes were all the embellishments this card needed.

\

I also used one of the add-on bags to turn into a gift card holder.  Simply fold the bottom up, not quite half way.  (I had a gift card on hand to use as a guide for folding.) I added a strip of adhesive on either side, leaving room to slide the gift card in.  A piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon was wrapped around the bag to hide the seam and hang a cute little bell on.

The top of bag is perfect to slide a small card in to write a little note.  How cute is the HOHOHO with the Santa hat on top?!?

This week is shaping up to be a super busy one, but I am going to do my best to make sure I find some time to stamp.  Stamping is the only way I can keep my sanity some days!

A Season of Happiness & Wonder

I'm a little late to the TGIF Challenges color party, but I'm so happy to be here!  These cheerful Christmas colors were too fun to resist!

I decked out the edge of a Basic White card front with some Decorated with Happiness Pine branches, stamped in Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.  These two greens together are simply glorious!

The beautiful sentiment came next, stamped in Real Red.  And believe it not, I just stamped right on the paper and didn't fussy cut it...shocker, right?!?

A Christmas card always needs a little bit of shimmer and shine, which came in with the fun Christmas ornaments.  I stamped the festive background in Real Red, letting it dry for a bit, then heat embossed each ornament in gold.  I LOVE how they turned out!  A few Gold Swirls completed the decorations.

Anyone else absolutely LOVING the Celebrate Everything DSP that is offered as a host item in the July-December Mini?  I want to keep this paper pack forever!  The Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green pattern was a perfect match for today's color challenge, especially when you add just a little hint of red to the mix.

Join along in the colorful fun and share your creations with us!

Sweet Citrus Birthday Wishes

Happy December stampers! I can't believe we are in our final month of 2022...what a year this has been!

One might think I would kick off the Christmas month with another Christmas card, but the cold, dark and gloomy weather has me dreaming of warm, sunny summer days!  Say hello to the sweet and zesty Sweet Citrus Bundle!

This sweet bundle was one of the items attendees of OnStage were able to pre-order a bit early and I'm so happy I added it to my collection.  I love the juicy images...so many citrus possibilities!

I chose to go with some oranges, stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody.  A few Granny Apple Green Leaves added another pop of color, along with some subtle Petal Pink Flowers.  All of these pieces are easily cut out with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder.
And isn't this embossing folder amazing?!?  I love all of the detail and texture!  As I mentioned earlier, I'm already dreaming of warm, sunny days.  What's better than Costal Cabana to make it feel like summer! I love all of these colors together.

Today's sketch was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  You can never go wrong with a great sketch!
Today also happens to be the big pre-order day from the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog for all demonstrators.  One more reason to join in the fun...you can order all of the fun new products early!

Have a wonderful day!
