It Looks Like Spring

It's the last day of February AND the last day of Sale-a-Bration!  I am celebrating with these springtime Awash in Beauty DSP flowers and the perfect sentiment from the SAB stamp set Thanks A Bunch.
This paper and stamp set paired up for the perfect card for this weeks Global Design Project Theme Challenge...SPRING!  While we are still officially a few weeks away from the first day of spring, I'm hoping our spring weather will make an early appearance.
If you love fussy cutting as much as I do, the Awash in Beauty DSP is a must have for your paper collection.  I fussy cut along the tops of the flowers from one of the patterns and added it to a Basic White background embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder.
A few additional blooms were cut and tucked around the sentiment stamped in Balmy Blue and die cut with the Beautiful Shapes dies.  An additional hexagon was cut from the DSP for a little added color.  A few strands of the White Frayed Ribbon and my favorite Brushed Brass Butterflies completed the card.

I can't wait for all of my springtime blooms to start brightening my card and watching our pups chasing butterflies around our yard!

Layered Conversations

Woohoo, it's Friday! And you know what Friday's bring...all new TGIF Challenges!  This week we have a fun Technique Challenge for you...layered shapes.  Break out your favorite punches or dies and start layering!

This is a "scraps off my desk" card, which happened to be perfect for today's challenge!  I've been creating along with Crafty Carrot Collective this month using the Conversation Bubbles Bundle.  I paired this fun bundle up with the Tea Boutique DSP, along with the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes for one of the tutorials and these are some of the bits and pieces I had left over.

I layered the conversation bubbles, twisting and turning some of them for just the right placement.  A sweet little Just A Note sentiment was the only stamping needed with these sweet patterns of paper.
I used a few of the heart die-cuts for embellishments.  Aren't they cute?  And that little tea cup brings a smile to my face!

Do you save your bits and pieces from other projects to put to use at a later time? It's always a fun and creative way for me to challenge myself to use them up!

Happy Easter, Easter Bunny

This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge feels like spring!  What will you create with these fun colors?

I decided on the adorable Easter Bunny bundle, complete with cute little eggs that were meant for these colors!

I'm so happy I was able to snag the Easter Bunny punch before it went on back order.  I hope it available sooner than expected so everyone else has the opportunity to create with this little guy.

I colored the bunny with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends with a little Flirty Flamingo ear.  After punching that cute bunny out, I settled him in some Old Olive grass along with a few colorful Easter eggs.
The Balmy Blue Country Gingham pattern of DSP went along with this color challenge perfectly.  I wanted to keep adding more, but decided less was so much more for this card. Some days sweet and simple is best!

A Twist of Thanks

It's time for an all new Monday Montage blog hop!  I love hopping with all of these talented ladies and I know you will love all of the projects we have to share with you this week.

I wasn't quite ready to put the Sweet Citrus Bundle away after my last card, so you are getting a double dose of Vitamin C(ute) today!

I decided to go with a twist of lime...or Parakeet Party for this card.  I stamped the outline of the limes in full color and stamped off the insides one time for a true lime look.

When I think of lime trees, I think of the little one that I tried growing a few years ago.  Just before the tiniest little limes grew, it was full of pretty little white blooms. I tried to recreate that look with a few Petal Pink blooms tucked in to some little sprigs from the Ranunculus Dies.

Does the layout of this card look familiar?  I cased my own card that I created a few weeks ago for another Monday Montage project.  Do you ever case yourself?

Next up is the sweet Cathy of Sugar Shack Designs!  I know she will have something fabulous to share with all of you this week!

Or if you want to hop on back, you will find yourself visiting my dear friend Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations!
Thanks for hopping along with us this week! Happy Stamping!

Sending a Big Squeeze of Love

Welcome to the February edition of the Control Freaks Blog Hop!  Valentine's Day may have passed, but we are continuing to spread the love this month.  Did you just arrive from the amazing project created by Melissa Davies of RubberFUNatics or are you just starting to hop?  Either way, be sure to hop all the way through!

I had some bright, colorful fun with the Sweet Citrus Bundle for today's card!
I created a rainbow of sweet citrus!  Polished Pink grapefruit, Pumpkin Pie oranges, Daffodil Delight lemon and Parakeet Party limes and a few pretty blue Pastel Adhesive Sequins.  And what goes better with all of these bright colors?  Black and white stripes, of course!

I cut some strips of Basic Black and Basic White and adhered them to another piece of scrap paper to create a fun added striped pattern.

The Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder is AMAZING! There is so much detail in this folder AND you can emboss and cut at the same time.  Even better!

Next up is the creative Connie Babbert of Inkspired Treasures.  You're going to love her project today!
Thanks for hopping along with us today!  Happy Stamping!

Beautifully Dainty Carrots

Happy Friday stampers!  It's time for some Sale-A-Bration fun at TGIF Challenges this week!

I had a hard time picking just one of the MANY awesome products, so I decided to do a Sale-A-Bration-Mash-Up!

I started out with the Thanks A Bunch carrots, stamping them in Pumpkin Pie and Blackberry Bliss with Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green tops. After fussy cutting and layering the carrots, I decided they needed a bit more.  My snips came back out and I snipped a few of the dainty blooms from the Dainty Flowers DSP to tuck in along the tops of the carrots.
The sentiments from Thanks A Bunch weren't feeling quite "dainty" enough to go along with my "dainty" theme, so I searched other Sale-a-Bration stamp sets to find the perfect sentiment.  The simple Thank You from Beautifully Happy was just what this card needed!

I mixed couple more patterns of Dainty Flowers for a fresh spring-inspired layout and topped the carrots off with a bow from the County Wreaths dies. One simple Fresh Freesia Opaque Gem was the only embellishment needed!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you will join along in the fun this week and share your favorite Sale-a-Bration products.

Hello, Irresistible Blooms

Hooray, it's Friday!  Not only have we almost made it to the weekend, but it's also time for an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!

My favorite delivery driver delivered a box full of new goodies last night, including the beautiful Hello, Irresistible Suite Collection that I was able to pre-order.  This Online Exclusive collection will be available to customers beginning March 1st.  Mark your calendar now because you are going to want to add this to your crafty collection!

I pulled some of the Hello, Irresistible DSP in shades of Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight.  There are other gorgeous colors in this pack of paper, some of which are returning favorites.  So exciting!

I embossed two of the Irresistible Blooms on a piece of DSP, cutting them out with the coordinating Irresistible Blooms Dies.  A bit of Distress Gold was brought in with the leaves and the Loose Frosted Dots added just the right amount of bling.

This suite is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to share more sneak peeks with you!

Have a fabulous weekend and happy stamping!

A Little Note of Thanks

We are inching closer to spring with each passing day.  I'm loving that the days are getting a little longer each day and the sun is making an appearance more and more. Maybe if I keep stamping some cheerful, spring-inspired cards, spring will come early!
Inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge, it was was easy to find all of the right stamps, ink and paper to go along with the sketch.
The Rain or Shine DSP provided the perfect spring sky for a Rays of Light sunburst and the cutest Sweet Songbird in its nest! I hung the sentiment from the tree branch...how cute is that?

I'm wondering why it took me so long to use the absolutely adorable Fun Flower Resin Shapes.  They are so cute and were perfect to tuck in amongst the leaves in the tree.  Now to create another card to use these on!

Hope you are all having a great week so far!

Country Lane Friendship

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge.

Not only is Valentine's Day quickly approaching, but so is Galentine's Day! This sweet Country Bouquet sentiment is perfect for your favorite Galentine!

It's not often that I go with colors from the Subtle collection, but these Country Floral Lane DSP patterns were just too cute!  Thanks to this fun paper, the only stamping required was for the sweet sentiment.

The leaves and hearts were punched right from another pattern of Country Floral Lane and the bicycle was fussy cut.  A small Stylish Shapes circle helped the cut pieces to stand out a bit and a few Solid Faceted Gems finished things off.

Cute, quick and easy...my favorite kind of card some days!

Join along in the fun and share your take on this weeks sketch challenge.

Beautifully Happy Sale-a-Bration

It's time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop and we're so happy to have you hop along with us!

I'm soaking up every last moment of Sale-a-Bration with today's cards. I paired up Beautifully Happy with two of my favorite Sale-a-Bration DSP's...Dandy Designs and  Favored Flowers.
Isn't it so cool to see how different two cards can be when you use the same stamp set and sketch, but totally different DSP?!?

I used Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green for these Beautifully Happy blooms.  I fussy cut the image, cutting off one of the leaves and stem.  The fun and cheerful patterns of Dandy Designs makes this an extra happy Happy Birthday card!

I pulled Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow from the Favored Flowers DSP to create more of a elegant chic feel for this next card.
Don't stop here...keep on hopping to see what Cathy of Sugar Shack Designs has to share with us.

Or if you missed Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations, hop on back to check out what she has for us!

Desert Thanks

Happy Friday and welcome to this months TGIF Challenges Color Challenge! I will admit, these colors had me a little stumped at first because they are not colors that I typically use.  But it wouldn't be called a challenge if it wasn't a bit challenging, right?

After deciding on the Desert Details bundle, I started cutting out the fun Aztec shapes from the 3 colors of the challenge. I tried laying them on a piece of Basic White, but it needed something more.  I stuck the two long decorative stamps on a block together and stamped them together in Smoky Slate...much better!

After adhering the colorful Aztec pieces to the stamped piece of paper, it seemed to be take on an area rug feel. And what does every area rug need?  Some fringe of course!  The White Frayed Ribbon makes the best fringe when you pull some strands out along the edge.  This is probably my most used ribbon!

I wanted to add one of the roses and sentiment from the stamp set, but struggled to make it all come together. Thank goodness for a Plan B...the Amazing Thanks dies along with a portion of a sentiment from Happiness Abounds to create Thanks For All You Do.

A little more texture was added with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  No embellishments required with all of that amazing texture and fun fringe!

Be sure to join in the fun and play along!

Happy Stamping!
