Sweet Springtime Wishes

Thank goodness for the one extra day Leap Year gives us every four years...it gave me time to play with February's Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin.  Friends, this is the cutest kit!!!  The projects in the kit are so sweet and have so many possibilities for alternatives!
Inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Sketch Challenges, I had the best time creating this Paper Pumpkin alternative! I cut down both of the envelopes for the sweet gingham paper on the inside and used the outside of the envelope to layer them.  The sweet little frame was the perfect layer to add on top.  This was all added to a Petal Pink card base.

I cut apart one of the boxes to create a fun flap, adding the sweet floral wreath and fluffy bunny and chick to the center.  The center of the wreath was also cut from one of the envelopes with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Since the only stamping required was for the Happy Easter sentiment, I included a stamped daffodil on the inside colored with the Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.
Spring is trying to find it's way to where I live and I am oh-so-ready!  Hopefully by creating all of the spring-inspired projects, it will help give Mother Nature the inspiration she needs to bring us some warm sunshine!

Happy Stamping!

Most Awesome Dad

I love a good masculine stamp set and when there is coordinating Designer Series Paper, it's even better!  We are down to the final days of Sale-a-Bration and this is your last chance to earn this awesome Trusty Tool Box DSP for FREE with a qualifying purchase!

Today's card was inspired by the latest Global Design Project Sketch Challenge.  I love the tool box from the Trusty Tools Dies, especially when it's embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder.  It reminds me of my grandpa's old tool box!

I filled the tool box with several fussy cut tools from the Trusty Toolbox DSP and
added the saw blade to go along with the upper part of the sketch.  Sentiments from Trusty Tools coupled the card, along with a few Rustic Metallic Dots.
I have a stash of fussy cut tools tucked away for future projects and maybe even a few extra packs of this DSP...it's my favorite!

Excellent Eggs

Can you believe that it's almost the end of February?  After January being the longest month in history, this month has sped by!  We're beginning to see signs of spring here, which means it's time to start working some springtime cards!
My assignment this month for the Artisan Design Team was to create to projects using the Excellent Eggs Bundle.  I paired this sweet bundle up with the Inked Botanicals DSP for some pretty springtime cards!

The Excellent Eggs dies are so much fun and the eggs are so pretty that they can pretty much stand alone! I cut out three eggs in different patterns of paper and added a fourth egg that has a bit more detail. I love the sunny Crushed Curry patterns...you can just feel the warmth!  I dressed the eggs up with a Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon and a few Tinsel Gems Three-Pack embellishments. A simple fussy cut Happy Easter Sentiment completed the card.

I love the Hello Spring Sentiment from the Excellent Eggs stamp set and focused on just that stamp for my next card.  I mixed a few different patterns, using a Crushed Curry Pattern again to give the card a sunny feel.  A simple Linen Thread bow and a few more Tinsel Gems finished things off!
This was a fun set to work with!  Be sure to see what the rest of our team created by checking out the Stampin' Up! Facebook or InstaGram...you will love all of the creative inspiration!

Softly Stippled Inspiration

Valentine's Day may be behind us, but that doesn't mean we can't keep sharing love all year long!  This weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge is full of images to help continue to spread a little love!

I was inspired by the beautiful roses.  I sat down with the rose pattern of the Softly Stippled DSP and a few of my favorite Stampin' Blends.  Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Bubble Bath, along with Granny Apple Green, made for a colorful display of roses.  I fussy cut each image out and popped them up with Dimensionals on another piece of DSP.

I heat embossed a Charming Sentiments sentiment in white on Pebbled Path to go along with the card base.  A few Melon Mambo Shiny Sequins added just the right amount of sparkle and shine to the card.

What will you be inspired to create?  Be sure to share your creation with us!

Simply Ready for Zinnias

We're back with another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Enjoy the full circle of incredible creations from all of our talented stampers!

My spring flower seeds all arrived this week and I can not wait to get them started and in the ground!  I can't wait to see all of the beautiful zinnias I have this year!

While I wait for warmer weather, I will enjoy the beauty of the Flowering Zinnias Suite Collection. (This beautiful collection will be available in the Online Exclusives beginning March 5th!) The stamped images and beautiful colors in the DSP will make you feel like you are walking though the most amazing flower farm!

I needed a little color therapy this weekend and these beautiful blooms did not disappoint.  I colored the flowers in shades of Calypso Coral and Petal Pink with Mossy Meadow and Old Olive leaves.  Pool Party filled in the rest of the space, making the flowers look like they are floating in a pool of water.  A Petal Pink card base with the leafy pattern of DSP peeking out from behind the flowers was a little out of my crafting comfort zone, but I love how it all worked together.  And this sentiment is so good...flowers that you can send that will last forever!

Next up is a bright little bouquet of flowers for the sweetest birthday wish! It was so much fun mixing these patterns of DSP in with the Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight zinnia's.
If you have been loving the fun variety of Adhesive-Backed Sequins Stampin' Up! has had lately, you're going to have another to add to your collection!  These Shiny Sequins are amazing!  Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lolly, Mellon Mambo and Lemon Lime Twist are the perfect colors of summer!

Keep on hopping and see what Cathy has to share with us!

The Flip-Side of Sunny Days

Happy Friday stampers and welcome to this weeksTGIF Challenges Product Spotlight Challenge!  This week we are sharing some of our Sale-A-Bration products and I promise you will love them all!

I love the Sunny Days DSP!  Both sides of this Designer Series Paper is so seriously cute!  So cute that I had to make TWO cards using the flip side of nearly all of the designs!

For the first card, I went with the designs filled with mostly Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce. The cherry pattern is my favorite, so that was placed front and center!  I topped the Heartfelt Hellos sentiment off with a sweet little cherry Simply Sparkling dies and wrapped it all up with my favorite Black & White Gingham Ribbon. I added a little extra "friend" sentiment from the Best Family Ever stamp set.

On the flip side of all of the Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce are Crushed Curry, Petal Pink and Pool Party...with a little more Poppy Parade mixed in. The adorable Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers were the perfect little embellishments for this card!
There are just a couple weeks left to earn the Sale-A-Bration items for FREE with a qualifying purchase!  Don't miss out on all of the fun this time around!

Latte Love

Welcome to the February edition of Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop!  In honor of Valentine's Day, we are sharing techniques we love most!

To go along with the techniques I love most, I had to make a card with the beverage I love most...coffee!  A Little Latte Suite Collection is coming soon, but I have a sneak peek to share with you today!
The coffee splatters and drips stamped images are my favorite in the stamp set.  I added a bit more splatter with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker...my most used technique!  Such a fun and easy way to add just a little extra to any project!

Another quick and easy technique is curled and distressed corners...another one that I frequently use! With a few swipes of the bone folder over the corners of the paper, it quickly separates to give a little added texture.

But wait...there's more techniques to share.  Tearing the edges of the paper added even more texture!  And we can't forget my all time favorite, fussy cutting!  I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and fussy cut around each word.

I stamped the mugs in Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon, coloring them with coordinating Stampin' Blends.  The perfect coffee and cream ratio was added with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie.  This suite is amazing!

Keep hopping along to see what technique Cheryl has to share with us next!

Loved Beyond Measure

I just had to use the beautiful Flight & Airy DSP bird for this weeks TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge.  This paper is gorgeous and I could spend hours fussy cutting all of the beautiful birds!  This little birdie perched in the pretty little tree was perfect for the sketch.

I traded out the circles for the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.  I embossed each punched piece with the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder.  I love how it kind of ties in with the leafy Lost Lagoon patterned paper.

The Perennial Postage sentiment was heat embossed in white on a piece of Pecan Pie and tucked in amongst the tree branches.  It was meant to be!

There is still a little bit of time left to earn the Flight & Airy DSP for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!  Don't miss out!

Perennial Friendship

A sketch challenge is my favorite way to start a card and this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge is a great one!

I used this sketch to showcase the beautiful Perennial Lavender DSP.  I love the Crumb Cake with all of the different shades of purple and green!

I stamped a couple stems of lavender in shades of Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather and bundled them together with some Fresh Freesia, Basic White and Pretty Peacock foliage.  They were tied together with a piece of Crumb Cake Bakers Twine.
A sweet little Perennial Postage sentiment and a few Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were the finishing touches.

Rockin' and Rollin' Through Monday {Montage}

Hello friends!  The Monday Montage crew is back with another fantastic hop for you this week!  Hop along and see all that we have to share with you.

I have no musical talent what so ever, but I absolutely love the Rock & Roll Suite Collection.  The stamps, the dies, the awesome black and white Rock & Roll DSP and the amazing Lightening & Stars embellishments...they are all so good!

Anyone else flashback to middle school when you saw the boombox and mixed tape pattern of DSP?!? I love it so much I had to use it on both cards! Sticking with the colors of the Lightening & Stars embellishments, I layered Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana, topping with some strips of the amazing DSP.  The guitar pick was die cut from another fun pattern and topped with the retro microphone.  Thanks for being an icon felt like the perfect sentiment for this card!

Of course I had to color the cool guitar...a pop of Parakeet Party was just right for a Rock & Roll Birthday!  I heat embossed the sentiment in black on Costal Cabana and  die cut another guitar pick.  I layered another pattern of DSP behind to help it stand out just a bit more.  A few Basic Black spatters and some white stars were all that was needed to finish the card off.

Let's see what Cathy has in store for us next! I guarantee you are going to love it!

Love Letters

We made it through the longest month in history...good-bye January and hello February!  This weeks TGIF Challenges Color Challenge is the perfect way to kick off the month made for love letters!

I'll be totally honest...I struggled with this color combo!  But as I was watching a show, I was inspired by the red typewriter one of the character was using...too cute! I used the new Mini Alphabet Dies to spell out LOVE, using the heart from Just My Type for the O.  I was also going to spell out LETTERS, but it looked too clunky, so I opted for little stamped letters.  Love letters...cute, right?!?

I layered some Real Red and Bubble Bath to add a bit more pop of color to the Very Vanilla.  And of course a few Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to finish it off.  Not my favorite card I've ever made, but it's kind of growing on me.

Come play along with us! We always love to see what you are inspired to create!

Life is Sweeter With Watermelon

Our little town has been covered in a blanket of fog for weeks!  I am beyond ready for some sunshine and warmth!  Since we still have a couple months of winter yuck, I'll find joy in creating some visions of summer with Watercolor Melon and the latest Global Design Project Sketch.

I stamped the whole watermelon in Garden Green, then went over the entire image with the dark Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends. Thanks for the fun tip Charlet! (Check out her fun tip over on Instagram @I.heart.stamps) The slices were stamped in Sweet Sorbet with a Garden Green rind and some Tuxedo Black Memento Seeds.

This sentiment from Share a Milkshake was perfect for some sweet, juicy watermelon!  The adorable little Sweet Sorbet floral pattern of Bee Mine DSP was just right for the tag, especially with some of the yellow and white Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments.

I added a few Parakeet Party splatters to the Basic White layer and stamped some more seeds on the Sweet Sorbet card base.  So deliciously sweet!!!
