You're My Anchor

Hello stampers and happy Sunday!
The end is in sight...we are in the final phases of selling our house and purchasing our new home.  I has been a long, trying and stressful 3 months for my family...mostly for my hubby.  He has taken care of all of the phone calls, the paper work and everything else involved in this who crazy process.   I would have given up weeks ago and thrown in the towel, but he has pushed through it and got us to where we are today...which is painting at the new house and packing :-)
I made a card for him yesterday to show him and tell him just how much I love him...and to avoid packing up my craft room!  I turned to Freshly Made Sketches again for some inspiration and came up with this...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Regals DSP
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Real Red, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Guy Greetings, Seaside Shore, Playful Backgrounds
Other Supplies ~ Sunburst Thinlits, 2" Circle Punch, Brights Enamel Shapes, Night of Navy Bakers Twine

Can I just say how happy I am to have Night of Navy Bakers Twine in my stash....LOVE!!!

Now I'm off to get in a quick workout before spending the rest of the day painting and packing.  I'd much rather be stamping!

Have a great day!

Happy Stamping!

Dino Adventure Birthday

Happy Friday stampers!

And Happy 5th Birthday to my baby boy!  It seems crazy that my sweet boy is already 5...time goes by way too fast!

With the craziness of our house selling and getting ready to move, we didn't make any firm birthday party plans since we had no idea where we would be when his birthday rolled around.  I've got a little mom guilt going on because of this, but we will be making up for it when we get moved to our new house with and end of summer party.  We decided we would just have one big party to celebrate his birthday, my hubby's birthday, the new house and everything else we have missed this summer!  We aren't letting today go uncelebrated though!  We are headed to the pool today to have some fun and will have a little family dinner tonight at his favorite pizza place.

Owen has grown up in my craft room and can always be found at my feet playing with his toys while I stamp.  He always wants to know who I'm making a card for and when my next stamp club is so he can see all my stamping friends, who he has made sure are all his friends too!  I asked him what kind of birthday card he wanted this year and he was quick to tell me he wanted a T-Rex card.   He's 100% boy and loves his dinosaurs :)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Smoky Slate, Cucumber Crush, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Real Red, Neutrals DSP, Window Sheet
Ink ~ Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Basic Black
Stamp Sets ~ No Bones About It, Always An Adventure, Number of Years, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Layering Squares Framelits, Outdoor Adventures Framelits, Large Numbers Framelits, Brights Sequins, Sprinkles Punch

I had so much fun creating the volcano background for the T-Rex!  It's always awesome when you can find two unrelated items and put them together to make a super fun card!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Love You More ~ HSSSC 243

Happy Tuesday stampers!
I'm back again today with another post...yay for two days in a row!

We are finally getting our hot, hot, HOT summer weather here.  We've been kind of spoiled this year with a mild summer, but the triple digits are here.  It's too hot to cook or eat much, so we tend to eat a lot of fruits and veggies when it gets this hot.

Today's Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch was perfect for a fruity card using the new Fresh Fruit Stamp Set.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Fruit Stand DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Peekaboo Peach, Cucumber Crush, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Set ~ Fresh Fruit
Other Supplies ~ In-Color Enamel Dots, Linen Thread, 5/8" Burplap Ribbon, Tags & Labels Framelits

I love all of the summery fun colors in this DSP...it's like having a bowl of fruit salad right on your card!

Thanks for stopping by again today!

Happy Stamping!

Hello Sunshine ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

It's been a while since I last blogged...so welcome back!  I've been sneaking in a little bit of stamping, but haven't had a whole lot of time to get any blogging done. Sadly, I'm not going to be getting much stamping time over the next couple of weeks either because our house finally SOLD!  Any extra time right now is being spent packing up the old house and getting things done at the new house.  Our summer has been eaten up by the whole process of selling our house and buying the new one, but all of our hard work and patience has paid off!

Our family takes a trip to the Oregon Coast every summer, but due to the house stuffs, that trip has been put on hold until this fall.  Between missing that trip and not having Convention in July, my heart is feeling a little empty.  I decided to create a little piece of the beach and sunshine to help make me feel a little bit closer to those things that I'm missing.  It doesn't quite fill the void, but this card sure makes me happy!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Watercolor, Gold Glimmer
Ink ~ Pool Party, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Crazy About You
Other Supplies ~ Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Sunshine Words Thinlits, Botanical Builders Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon

My inspiration for this card came from two challenges...
The latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

And the inspiration challenge over at SSINK

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!

Wherever You Go

Happy Thursday stampers!  We are getting closer to the weekend...yippee!

It has been a stressful week for me...between waiting for the sale to be final on our house and crazy happenings with work, I needed a little stamp therapy to put my mind at rest!  Thanks to a fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches I was able get the creative juices flowing in hurry!
The bridge from the Wherever You Go stamp set reminds me of the Astoria bridge we always used to cross when going to visit my grandma in Long Beach WA during the summer.  The memories of our many trips across the bridge had me buying this stamp set as soon as I could!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink ~ Basic Black, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo
Stamp Set ~ Wherever You Go
Other Supplies ~ Affectionately Yours Washi Tape, Seaside Embossing Folder

Here's to a happy day to all of you!

For the Love of the Game

Hello happy stampers!

Two blog posts in a row...I'm on a roll :-)  Don't get too excited though...this week is shaping up to be another crazy-busy one that is cutting in to more of my stamping time :-(   But, I will take what time I can get and enjoy every second in my craft room.

We have a fun color challenge this month over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It's perfect for the month of July!

Regular season baseball may be over for my boys, but that doesn't mean we are done with baseball.  They are in the middle of a summer baseball camp right now and when they aren't there, you'll likely find them in our back yard or down at the park playing the game they love the most.
It's been a long time since I've created a traditional scrapbook page and I forgot how much I do love to create them!  This is one of my favorite pictures of the baseball season and will be the perfect addition to our baseball themed game room!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Smoky Slate, Brights DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Real Red, VersaMark
Stamp Sets ~ Layered Letters Alphabet, Labeler Alphabet
Other Supplies ~ Stars Framelits, Circle Framelits

Fall baseball season starts up in September and we are all counting the days!  Until then, you'll still find us at the All Stars games and the Walla Walla Sweets games.   Eat, Sleep, Play Baseball!

Happy Stamping!

Spirit of Walla Walla ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

My poor stamps and blog have been so neglected the past couple of weeks....boo!  Between running kids back and forth to baseball games/camps and wrapping up the sale of our house, there hasn't been much crafty time in my life!

I did get myself out of bed early this morning to sneak in a little stamping time and was able to put this super fun card together!  The Always An Adventure Bundle was a must have for me!  Living at the base of the Blue Mountains with tons of lakes close by, this bundle reminds me of home!  And the hot air balloon was the perfect addition to this set, especially since our little town hosts a Balloon Stampede every year!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink ~ Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo
Stamp Set ~ Always An Adventure
Other Supplies ~ Outdoor Adventures Framelits

Keep your fingers crossed that the sale of our home is all wrapped up at the end of this week!  It's been a long and stressful process, but the end is in sight!  And with lots of luck and prayers, we will be moving by the end of the month...hooray!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!
