Framed Ornaments

I needed a bit of a break from my Bridal Fair and Holiday Bazaar projects, so I decided to find a couple of fun challenges this morning.  After a little bit of searching, I was inspired by the CAS sketch over at Pals Paper ArtsI also found a fun little challenge going on over at The Paper create a CAS project featuring frames.  The perfect idea struck me and I got to work!

PPA145 Sketch

I recently earned two free stamp sets for reaching my Stampin' Start goals...yay!!!  Papaya Collage was one of the sets I got and I finally had the chance to ink it up this morning.  Love it!  I did a little bit of fussy cutting around the outer edge of the frame, cut the center out and popped it up with some dimensionals to create a bit a shadow box effect.  Fun!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Real Red, Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Early Espresso
Stamp Set ~ Greetings of the Season, Papaya Collage
Other Supplies ~ Finishing Touches Edgelits, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

I love, love, love this beautiful!  It was fun to create each little ornament with this paper.

Ok, time to get back to my other projects!  The Bridal Fair is Saturday and I still have few more things to get done...time is running short!

Happy Stamping!

  1. Great job combining both challenges. Love that the scalloped edge echos the shape of the images on the green layer and carries through to some of the ornaments on the focal layer. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

  2. Great card! Fabulous job of fussy cutting that frame! Not an easy task. Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week.
