#tgifc196 Star of the Show - Product Spotlight

Happy Friday stampers!
I'm here with the Star of the Show over at TGIF Challenges!  Designer Series Paper is in the spotlight today.  I don't know about you, but I LOVE all of the amazing DSP Stampin' Up! has to offer...there's a pattern for everyone!

One of my current favorites is the Wood Textures DSP.  I'm love anything with a warm, rustic, farmhouse feel and this DSP has it all!  And speaking of being the Star of the Show, this card is for our amazing TGIF leader Jeanna, who will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow.  Happy Birthday Jeanna!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam, Wood Textures DSP
Ink ~ Soft Sea Foam, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets ~ Country Livin', Piece of Cake, Crackle Background
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Framelits, Well Written Framelits, Metallic Pearls, Lace Trim

I first stamped the Crackle Paint background stamp in Soft Sea Foam on the whitewashed Wood Texture pattern and absolutely love how it turned out!  The rest of the card kind of fell in to place after that...love it when that happens.  Of course I had to add some lace and cowboy boots for sweet Jeanna...love ya girl!

Here's to a fabulous Friday and weekend!  I have a day full of basketball on Saturday, but I'm hoping to sneak in a little bit of craft-therapy at some point this weekend.

Happy Stamping!

Creation Station ~ In My Neighborhood

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop!  This month we are sharing what's happening in our neighborhoods...whether it be events in your town, birthdays, vacations or other special events, we are excited to show you what's going on in our neighborhood :)

It is wildland fire season and we are surrounded by fires, which has created smoke filled skies for the past few weeks.  This also means my hubby has been putting in a lot of extra hours either fighting fires or helping cover for other members of the department who are out on fires.  The air quality is horrible and we all miss having my hubby home, but the sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful!  I always love finding beauty in something not so beautiful!

My first card was inspired by a picture I took the other night as the sun was setting.  The sun was a bight, almost neon, orange!  My boys and I sat outside and watch it set behind our sunflowers...it was stunning!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink ~ Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Basic Black
Stamp Set ~ Daisy Delight

Wheat harvest is also wrapping up in our area, which means we have lots of farm equipment and trucks traveling along the roads.  I love old farm trucks, which inspired my second card!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Wood Textures DSP, Watercolor Paper
Ink ~ Basic Black, Real Red, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Pool Party
Stamp Set ~ Country Livin', Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon

What fun things are happening in your neighborhood?

Thank you for stopping by today and joining us for the Creation Station Blog Hop!

Please head over to the ever amazing Julie next!  I can not wait to see what she has to share with us today!

Country Livin' at the County Fair ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Our county fair was going on this past week and our family took in part of the action this weekend, which inspired today's card.  We attended the parade Saturday morning and braved the craziness of the fair Saturday evening.  We had plans to attend the rodeo, but the boys all had so much fun visiting all of the animals and hanging out with friends, so we just enjoyed the time together.  Since moving to our new house and adding a few new critters to our lives, all three boys were very interested in learning all they could about many of the farm animals.  It was pretty awesome to hear them ask so many great questions!
 Supplies Used:
Paper ~Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White
Ink ~ Basic Black, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron
Stamp Set ~ Country Livin' , Hardwood
Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon

Our funny farm started out with a goat on lease, which we have all quickly fallen in love with.  It will be a sad day when Trigger has to move to his new home with his family, but there have already been numerous conversations of getting some baby goats in the spring and possibly a cow.  Never in my life did I picture us living the farm life, but I love it!  Especially all of our chickens.  We currently have 6 baby chicks and 6 egg laying hens.  I love seeing the boys take care of them, especially when they do it all on their own without being asked!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!
