TGIF friends! The weather has been warmer this week and green is popping up everywhere! My bulbs are starting to peek out of the ground, the grass is greening up and I'm getting inky with green too...Old Olive to be exact! The ladies over at Colour Me...! have a monochromatic challenge for us this week using Old Olive and any neutral.
I instantly thought of St Patrick's Day when I saw this challenge, so I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo and cut out some fun MDS images from the Luck O'The Irish and Lucky You digital downloads and created this Irish beauty...
I may have cheated by adding the gold, but it's a must for St Patrick's Day, right?!?!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil, Golf Fancy Foil DSP
Ink ~ Old Olive, Metallic Gold
Stamps ~ February Paper Pumpkin, Oh Hello, Gorgeous Grunge
Other Supplies ~ Very Vintage Designer Buttons (embossed in gold), Brights Designer Buttons, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Gold Bakers Twine, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Silhouette Cameo, MDS
I have one more card to share with you using this color challenge and MDS again. A friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for a friend who LOVES golf. Since I don't have any golf related stamps, I once again turned to MDS for the On the Green stamp brush set. I was going to cut this image out with my Silhouette as well, but decided it would have taken me way to long to glue all of those little pieces back together :-) So, I printed the image, added a little grass and golf ball on a tee and VOILA!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Old Olive, Baked Brown Sugar
Ink ~ Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ On the Green (MDS)
Other Supplies ~ 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Fringe Scissors
I hope things are turning green in your neck of the woods!
Enjoy your weekend and Happy Stamping!
