Let the baby do the sweet talking

After months of trying to sweet talk my husband in to letting our family get another cat, he finally caved and gave in.  But it wasn't MY sweet talking that made him cave...it was our cute 18 month old son!  All of my boys adore cats, but Owen absolutely LOVES them.  One weekend afternoon as we were all taking a rest and watching a cat show on TV, I started bugging my hubby about getting another cat.  When I asked Owen if he wanted a kitty, he looked right at my husband, nodded his head and shouted YES!  That's all it took...hubby caved and the quest for finding a new kitty began!  I found just the right one and after waiting for what seems like forever, we are finally making the trip to go get her today.  We are so excited to be adding another member to our family, especially since we just found out one of our dogs has cancer and will soon have to be put down :(

I wanted to make a card for the person I am getting the kitten from and this weeks sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday worked perfect for what I wanted to do.  Here's a look at the sketch:
And here is my card:
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, 2011-2013 In Color DSP
Ink ~ Jet Black StazOn, Versa Mark
Stamp Sets ~ Tiny Tags, Storybook Friends
Other Supplies ~ Hearts a Flutter Framelits, 1/2" Circle Punch, 2011-2013 In Color Brads, Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine, Rhinestone Basics

You can't tell very well in the picture, but I made a little ball of "yarn" from the Bakers Twine :)  What kitty doesn't love a ball of yarn to play with?

Thanks for stopping by today!  Stay tuned for more pictures of our sweet new family member!

Happy Stamping!
