Tropical Birthday Wishes ~ Monday Montage

After spending a better part of the day wrapping gifts, I needed a little break from Christmas.  We have a special friend celebrating her birthday today and I needed the perfect card, just for her.  The Tropical Oasis suite items had not yet been put away and were practically begging to be used again!  So I put them to work to create not one, but two tropically perfect cards!

The patterns in the Tropical Oasis DSP pack are so bright and colorful...you feel like you are right there on a warm sunny beach enjoying all of the beautiful sights, sounds and flavors.  And the Coastal Wave 3D Embossing Folder is my new FAVORITE!  The texture this embossing folder creates is amazing!

I played around with a couple different patterns of DSP and a few different stamps and dies from the Timeless Tropical bundle.  The tiny pineapple and palms trees are beautiful!  I love that you can use this suite for anyone!

#TGIFC242 Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday stampin' friends!  I don't know about you, but I am SO HAPPY it's Friday because that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges!  This week we have a great sketch for you to play along with!

I absolutely LOVE anything with pineapples! As soon as I saw the Tropical Oasis suite, I knew it was going to be joining me in my stamp room.  The adorable pineapple dies were perfect for today's sketch!

I used the Tropical Oasis Memories & More card pack for my background.  The pack is full of beautiful cards that are beautiful on their own or with a few added stamped images.  

I inked up the flower and leaf in the beautiful Saddle Brown StazOn ink, then colored them with my favorite Stampin' Blends.  I finished the card off with a simple sentiment and Tropical Oasis Trinket.

Peaceful Poppy Thoughts

Happy Monday stampin' friends!  

Another weekend has come and gone...and it went by way too fast!  I had a to-do list that was a mile long, but the arrival of my pre-order pushed a few of those things to the back burner so I could play with at least ONE of the new suites I got!

The Peaceful Poppies Suite was the first must have on my list.  I absolutely love poppies and the colors in this suite are gorgeous!  

I also love that Stampin' Up! coordinated not one, but two stamp set and die bundles.  The poppy images are beautiful and the sentiments are perfectly paired.

I was a bit overwhelmed by my pre-order box and didn't know what to use first.  I went to my favorite sketch challenge site, Freshly Made Sketches, and was instantly inspired!  Yay!!

The next few weeks are packed full for my little family, but I am hoping to squeeze more creative time in here and there, so be sure to check back soon!

Friends Make the Season Shine

Hello stampers and welcome to our final Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge of 2019!  We hope you have enjoyed creating with us this year and we look forward to creating with all of you again in the New Year!

We have a sweet and simple sketch challenge for you to play along with.  You can keep it simple or step it up.

I pulled out one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets that carried over to the Annual Catalog.  The festive lights in the Making Christmas Bright stamp set are so much fun!

Do you ever go to our catalogs for inspiration?  That is always one of my first stops if I am struggling to get a card started.  I used our sketch AND cased the catalog...I love it when that happens!  The Brick and Mortar embossed background is perfect for a bright and cheerful Christmas card. And this sentiment is my favorite!  Friends really DO make the season shine!

Deck the Halls ~ Monday Montage

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We were out of town for the holiday, but got back in town on Saturday and jumped right in to decorating for Christmas.  I always love pulling out all of our decorations and the memories that go along with all of them.  

Our decorating inspired today's Christmas card, using the beautiful Christmas Gleaming stamp set. 

I always love an image that can be colored with my Stampin' Blends!  You can often find me in my craft with my favorite music playing and coloring the day away!  I love the boldness of the holly and the simpleness of the ornaments.  

It's always hard for me not to add a ton of layers and embellishments, but I resisted and kept things pretty clean and simple.  I'm kind of feeling the same way about Christmas this year...keeping everything simple.  I'm happy that my family is on board with it too!
