A Bunny Hunt

Happy Friday stampers!

My card club is tonight and, as always, I came up with a last minute idea for a cute project for my stampers to create. I ordered the Polka Dot Cone Cellophane Bags a while back and forgot all about them until yesterday morning and decided I HAD to use them for my club.  But I had nothing to put in them :(  I had Goldfish crackers, but those really didn't seem Easter-ish, so I sent my hubby on a bunny hunt!  I knew I had seen the Annie's Cheddar Bunnies at one of our local grocery stores, but couldn't remember which one.  My very sweet, kind and loving hubby went to 3 different stores until he found them for me...he's a keeper!  These cute little bunnies were the perfect little snack to put in these adorable cellophane bags!
Since we are singing our ABC's over at SSINK, I'm adding this quick and easy project to the Anything But a Card post today!  Be sure to check out all of the other fun non-card creations!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Cucumber Crush
Ink ~ Tangelo Twist
Stamp Set ~ Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Polka Dot Cone Cellophane Bags, Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Note Tag Punch, Festive Flower Builder, 1/2" Circle Punch
(I used two retired punches to make the rest of the bunny...don't tell!)

This was super quick and easy to put together and will be perfect to tuck in to my kiddos Easter Baskets this year.  And the good news..no sugar thanks to my hubby's bunny hunting skills!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Retirement Congrats

We made it through Monday...onward to Tuesday!!!
We're playing with markers over at SSINK today.  While I am still mourning the loss of our beloved Blendabilities, I have reacquainted myself with my collection of Stampin' Write Markers, which I still love dearly!  I love that you can use these markers right on the stamp and create an image in any number of colors!
I pulled out a stamp set that I haven't used in quite some time and had so much fun coloring the flowers different colors.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla
Ink ~ Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Flowering Flourishes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Venetian Crochet Trim, Gold Cording Trim, Metallic Sequins, Expression Natural Elements

I cased this card from the Annual Catalog..can you find which one?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

One Classy Chick{en}

It's Friday...woohoo!!!  And that means it's time for an all new Friday Mashup... how about another woohoo!!
Amy has a fun Upcycled/Recycled Mother's Day Mashup for us today...
...I also had a special request to make a Mother's Day card with a chicken on it.  This was the most challenging card I have ever created and I'm not totally happy with it, but the individual who requested the card was thrilled with it, so I'm happy :-)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Garden Green, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Ink ~ Garden Green, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry
Stamp Sets ~ Teeny Tiny Wishes, Four Feathers, Countryside (MDS)
Other Supplies ~ Deco Labels Framelits, Oval Framelits, Feather Framelits, Linen Thread, Burlap Ribbon, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon
*Recycled cardboard for my upcycled/recycled item

Again, this was by the far the hardest card I have ever had to come up with, but knowing that the recipient of the card will love it makes me totally happy!

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Stamping!!

Paper ~ Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
Ink ~ Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise, Pistachio Pudding
Stamp Sets ~ Choose Happiness, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Rubber Ducky...

...You're the One!
Yep, had that song running through my head the whole time I was working on today's card :-)
I finally had some time to stamp for fun this morning and play along with Freshly Made SketchesIt feels like forever since I've stamped just for fun and let me tell you, it felt good!  And playing with new paper and stamps made it even better!
Here is the sketch for this week:
And here is my take:
I love this little duck and just had to stamp him a few more times on the inside of the card...quack, quack!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Lullaby*
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Pistachio Pudding
Stamp Sets ~ Something for Baby*, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Pistachio Pudding Thick Bakers Twine*
*2014-2015 Catalog

So, I had to cheat and use Crushed Curry instead of the NEW Hello Honey ink...I'm {impatiently} waiting for a special box to get here with all of the new In-Color ink pads!  Hoping to have them in my hot little hands by the end of the week :-)

Happy Stamping!

A Wee Bit o' Irish

Happy Monday and Happy St Patrick's Day!  Hope you've all got your green on and don't get pinched!
I made a fun little card to give to my boys this morning, along with some green pancakes!  I love doing fun things for them on little holidays like this.
After seeing the fun sketch at The Friday Mashup, I just had to create a rainbow with a pot of gold at the end!  Along with the sketch, we were challenged to create something with a rainbow or rainbow colors, so that's what I did!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Gumball Green, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, WhisperWhite, Gold Foil, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Circle Framelits, Word Window Punch, Itty Bitty Punch (circle) Fringe Scissors, Square Framelits, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Embossing Powder

I used my square framelits to create the banner and probably should have flipped my paper over when I cut it to avoid the framelit mark on the paper...note to self for next time!

Wishing you all a Happy St Patrick's Day!

Happy Stamping!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad June 2013 Blog Hop ~ 2013-2014 Annual Catalog Release Party

Hello stamping friends!  If you are just starting the hop...WELCOME!!!  If you just came from Heidi's blog you were treated yet another one of her great creations!  Our hop is a week later this month to allow us a bit more time to get our NEW CATALOG orders...I hope it was worth the wait for all of you.

Not only is today the day we set aside for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop, but it is also the last day of school for my boys.  I always like to send special teacher gifts throughout the year, especially at the end of the school year.  They go to Edison, as in Thomas Edison, and are the "Home of the Shockers".  Their school logo is a light bulb, so the cute new Crazy, Mixed-Up Love set made for a perfect thank you card for their teachers.  Have a look!
I found these cute little light bulb jars at an area craft store a few months ago to use for teacher gifts, but I didn't even think to use this stamp set with it. That is, until I saw a super cute card seen here...my light bulb turned on and I ordered this set right away.  Thanks Mindy!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Whisper White, I Am Me DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, So Saffron, Basic Gray

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop ~ Best of Stampin' Up!

Welcome to May's edition of Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog hop!  It's that time of year where we all get so excited for sneak peeks of all new Stampin' Up! products, but that also means we have to say good-bye to some old favorites too!  This month's theme is all about the Best of Stampin' Up!  A chance for us to use our favorite set (retiring or not) or one of the stamps from the Best of sets that have been available since the beginning of the year.  I have so many favorites and could not narrow it down to just one, so you get a couple :)

First up is my favorite baby stamp set...Baby Boutique. I have used this set for numerous baby shower cards and gifts.  I'm sad to see this set retire and probably won't be able to let this one go!  I made a cute little onesie cupcake and packaged it up with a couple little bottles of baby wash and lotion.  Add a coordinating card and you have the perfect little gift for a sweet baby bundle of
    joy!
    Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Subtles Collection DSP Stack
Ink ~ Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Stamp Sets ~ Baby Boutique, A Word for You, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Subtles Collection Buttons, So Saffron Taffeta Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Designer Rosette Bigz

Next up I have a fun little gift box and coordinating birthday card using the Patio Party DSP. This is my all time favorite DSP and I am super sad it will soon be gone.  But don't worry, my hoarding instincts kicked in and I ordered a few packages to keep on hand :)  Another retiring stamp that I am really, really don't want to go is Distressed Dots.  What am I going to do without this one?!?!
    Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Patio Party DSP
Ink ~ Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Whisper White Craft, White Gel Pen
Stamp Sets ~ Make a Cake, Curly Cute, Sweet Essentials
Other Supplies ~ 2 1/2" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits, In-Color Dahlias, Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon

Thanks for hopping along with all of us!

    Here comes Peter Cotton Tail

I can't believe Easter is already less than a month away...where does the time go as it flies by so fast? It seems like Christmas was just a few weeks ago and here it is the end of February already.  CRAZY!

I've been playing around with some of my spring and Easter stamp sets this week. I don't know about you, but I always seem to pull out my Aqua Painters and Blender Pens this time of year.  There is something about the watercolor effect that says Spring to me :)  The great team over at Hand Stamped Sentiments has a sketch this week that made for a fun Easter card.

    Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Birds of a Feather DSP
Ink ~ Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit
Stamp Sets ~ A Little Bit of Spring, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Oval Framelits, Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack, Delicate Details Lace Tape

I love the little eggs in this DSP...perfect for Easter creations :)  And the colors are so cheerful and Spring-y!

On a different note...I could use a little cheering up today.  Our dear sweet lab, Bailey, isn't doing so well :(  He has a football size mass on his side, that we thought was just a hematoma, which our vet said should resolve on its own.  Well, after almost 3 weeks, there is no change and now he is not eating and does nothing but sleep.  All of his blood work came back normal at his last visit, so we know it is not cancer.  I'll be taking him back in to the vet tomorrow to see what our options are.  Bailey is our first baby and has been a part of our family for almost 10 years.  We aren't ready to see him go yet and are praying that we can get him healthy and feeling better soon!

Thanks for stopping by today and for letting me ramble about my pup :)

    Happy Stamping!

    This Little Piggy Pie

Good morning friends!  It's Thursday...one day closer to the weekend :D  Hope everyone is having a great week so far!
My good friend Katie over at Sweet n Spiffy has the cutest little girl {EVER} who has a favorite stuffed pig, whom she calls Piggy Pie.  How cute is that?!?!?  Ever since I saw the super cute picture of Katie's sweet little girl with her favorite pal Piggy Pie, I've wanted to make a card with the cute piggy image from the Button Buddies set.  I think this was one of the first sets I purchased when I went to my first card class and is still one of my faves!
    Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Cherry Cobber, Whisper White
    Ink ~ Melon Mambo
Stamp Sets ~ Button Buddies, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Stripes & Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Owl Punch, Perfect Pennants Bigz, Subtles Designer Buttons, Cute Clips

I pulled my colors from this card from the latest Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.  These colors were perfect for this cute little Piggy Pie :)

Wishing you all a Happy Thursday and as always...Happy Stamping!
