Free Bird Friday

Happy Friday stamping' friends!  Are you feeling free as a bird today?!?  This is the last holiday weekend of summer and I am ready to enjoy every minute of it...right after my staff meeting this morning!
I am still having so much fun with the Bird Ballad Suite!  I love ALL of the DSP and all of the birds are just so dang cute!  The feathers DSP pattern is my absolute favorite pattern of the pack...I need at least 100 sheets!
My stamping is pretty minimal...just the little bird, a few leaves and a simple little HELLO sentiment.  The Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder felt like the perfect background for the sweet little bird, while the fussy cut feather, tiny key trinket and linen bow were the perfect finishing touches.
Of course I used my Stampin' Blends...I just can't stop! Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake blends were just the right colors for this little guy.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Bird Ballad DSP
Ink ~ Basic Gray, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Stamp Set ~ Free As A Bird
Other Supplies ~ Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, Layering Circles Dies, Bird Ballad Trinkets, Linen Thread

As soon as I'm done with my staff meeting, we headed to the lake for the day.  I'm looking forward to a fun and relaxing family day!

Have a fantastic Friday and amazing weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Hello Valentine

 Hello stampers!!!

Are you all busy working on Valentine creations right now?  I have been working away on mine!  Just as I think I've caught up on all of my special request orders, more roll in...keeping me busy with stamping and I love it!

I love the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die...it is so delicate and pretty.  Perfect for a lovely Valentine card!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Vellum, It's My Party DSP
Ink ~ Watermelon Wonder, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, VersaMark, Wink of Stella
Stamp Set ~ Hello, Snuggles and Smooches(retired)
Other Supplies ~ Bloomin' Heart Thinlints Die, Metallic Sequins

It is nearly impossible to get a good photo of the beautiful shimmery effect you get when using Wink of Stella, but if you look closely, you'll see just a bit of sparkle on the flowers and on the "hello" image.

I have just a bit of time to sneak in a couple more cards before I become a slave to my work day!

Wishing you all a happy day!

Botanical Birthday Girl

Welcome back to Monday Montage!!!  We are back with another fabulous hop!  Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all!

Seeing so many of my stamping friends on the East Coast getting hit hard by the winter storm over the weekend had me wishing for warm weather and sunshine for all of them!  I hope everyone is staying safe and surviving the snowy mess!

Day dreaming about the warm sunshine had me pulling out bright and sunny colors for today's card.  The flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits make me think of Hawaii, where it is much warmer than it is for everyone on the East Coast.  I used them to make a bright and cheerful birthday card for a special birthday girl!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Basic Black
Ink ~ Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Basic Black
Stamp Sets ~ Botanical Blooms, Hello
Other Supplies ~ Botanical Builder Framlits, Gold Embossing Powder, Metallic Sequins

I pulled out my Aqua Painter and Basic Black Reinker to create the watercolor strips...I'm a little addicted to this technique at the moment!

Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!

Hello Birthday Boy

Happy Thursday stampers!

We are more than half way through one of the hardest weeks of the year!  I don't know about you, but the week after New Years is always rough...you know the holidays are over and those lazy days of Christmas break are a thing of the past...I think parents should get an extra week off after their kids go back to school!

The one benefit of having the kids go back to school is getting back into our regular routine, which means early morning stamping for me...yay!  I am in pure bliss playing with all of my new stamping goodies!  I am so, so, SO happy we finally have a balloon punch!  I've been using it like crazy, so consider yourself warned!

We are creating masculine cards over at SSINK today, so I chose my beloved Seahawks colors, which two of my boys LOVED!  My other was quick to tell me I needed to make one in Broncos colors too...I'll have to make that soon!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Night of Navy, 2015-2017 In Colors DSP Stack
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Cucumber Crush
Stamp Sets ~ Balloon Celebration, Hello
Other Supplies ~ Balloon Bouquet Punch, Starburst Thinlits Die, Whisper White Bakers Twine

I love the bold contrast of the colors against the bright white starburst!  I'm in the process of recreating this card in different colors with the other sentiments from the Hello Sale-a-Bration Stamp set.  I will try to share those once I have them finished.

In the mean time, back to prepping for my January Stamp Club...I'm so happy to be back in session after taking last month off!

Happy Stamping!

Sentimental Hello

Good morning and good news...we have sunshine today!  It's still cold and windy, but the skies are blue and the sunshine is wonderful!  Maybe my little creative and crafty sunshine yesterday did the trick!
Today I've got a cheerful card created using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!  Many stamps came to mind when I saw this sketch, but I settled on the retro phone booth from the Feeling Sentimental set, which is part of on of the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.  Sadly, I missed the deadline for entering my card, but I still love this sketch and will use it again for sure.  Here is the sketch for this week:

And here is my creation:

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP
Ink ~ Tangerine Tango, Pool Party
Stamp Sets ~ Feeling Sentimental, Oh, Hello
Other Supplies ~ Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (Tangerine Tango Ribbon), Designer Buttons, Mini Silver brads

I love, love, LOVE these Designer Buttons from the Spring Catalog.  I have been having a ton of fun dressing them up with ribbon or a stamped image punched out to fit over the top!  And the colors in this DSP...so bright and cheerful.  Perfect for spring!

Here's to a great day and hopefully more sunshine for all!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday to my MIL

Yesterday was my Mother-in-Law's birthday and we got to help her celebrate over the weekend with an amazing Chefs Table dinner at The Marc.  If you ever are in the Walla Walla Valley for a visit you MUST have dinner at the Marc...you won't be sorry!  James Beard Foundation recognized Chef Antonio and staff will be sure to please you with an awesome meal!  Our dinner was a special treat and a great way to help celebrate a birthday!
Here's the card I made for my MIL, which the colors were inspired by a color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  I was too late to submit it for the challenge, but I was really happy with this card and had to blog it :)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP
Ink ~ Raspberry Ripple, Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade
Stamp Sets ~ Oh, Hello, Sassy Salutations
Other Supplies ~ Oval Framelits, Modern Label Punch, Basic Pearls

I'm wracking my brain, trying to remember where the sketch for this card came from, but I just cant remember...oh well :)

It was a great weekend and I made it through Monday...one day closer to the next weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Getting {Stamp-a-ma} Jiggy With It

Na na na na na na na nana
Sorry if I've got that song stuck in your head now, but every time I use my Stamp-a-ma-jig that darn song gets stuck in my head.  And yes, I'll admit, I shake my booty a little bit too as I'm stamping away...LOL!  I broke out my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig after I saw the new sketch challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I had yet to use the fun chevron image from the Oh, Hello set and this sketch just called out for it!
I chose some bright and cheerful colors, but kept this a very CAS card.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Ink ~ Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Marina Mist
Stamp Set ~ Oh, Hello
Other Supplies ~ Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, Cute Clips, Ovals Collection Framelits

Aren't those little clips so cute?  They are part of the new Sunshine and Sprinkles Suite, which is also where my color inspiration for this card came from.  If you haven't had the chance to check out the Spring Catalog, click here to view the online version or contact me today and I will get you your very own copy!

Happy Stamping!

Suffering from Craft-somnia...

The craziness of birthday's and Christmas has come to an end for another year...always bitter sweet for me!  I love all of the party planning and time spent with friends and family, but I do always breath a sigh of relief when it is all over.  This also brings an end to my Christmas crafting and lets me get back to all of my new stamps from my Spring Catalog pre-order.  Just a few more days and you will all be able to order all of the FUN new goodies...mark your calendar for January 3rd!
My hubby got called out on Portland transfer just before dinner tonight and won't be home until the wee hours of the morning, so after I got the kiddos into bed and wrapped up my nightly chores, I headed down to my craft room and got to work.  I managed to get 3 cards made tonight...yay!  Craft-somnia has hit again!  I am in love with the new Tea for Two DSP and just had to break it out again tonight, along with a few other new goodies.
This card was designed using the sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  This is one of my favorite sites for sketch ideas!  Here is what they had for us this week:

And here is my take (and a Spring Catalog sneak peek for you)...I opted not to do a square card, but the sketch idea is still there.  And you might notice that part of this card is CASE'd from the Spring Catalog :)
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Island Indigo, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP
Ink ~ Island Indigo, So Saffron(inside card)
Stamp Sets ~ Oh, Hello, Papillion Potpourri(inside card), Make a Wish(inside card)
Other Supplies ~ Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Perfect Pennants Bigz Die, Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Pearl Basic Jewels

Don't you just love that little Bitty Butterfly?!?!?  So cute!  And perfect with this DSP!

Here's the inside of the card:

I'm pretty sure I could keep on stampin' for a few more hours, but I am certain that I would regret it tomorrow morning when my alarm goes off!  I'll have to put the rest of my crafty ideas on hold for a few hours...

Happy Stamping!

LOVE!
I think I'm finally done with my Christmas cards...now I just need to get them sent out.  Next...on to thank you cards!  Hand Stamped Sentiments is helping me to get a start on thank you cards with their Theme Challenge this week...THANK YOU!

I love this new set and DSP!!!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP*
Ink ~ So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pretty in Pink
Stamp Set ~ Oh, Hello*
Other Supplies ~ Ovals Collection Framelits*, Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine, Borders Scoring Plate*

See the little flower peeking out on the inside of the card too?  It's the same flower I fussy cut and used on the front.  I always try to stamp something on the inside of all of my cards and, of course, on the envelope too!

Thanks for checking out another sneak peek this week!  Be watching for more!  Until then...
