Bike Track Birthday

Happy Saturday friends!  I've been on the run (literally) since 4AM...I'm ready for a nap!  But we've still got a lot of day left, which includes my nephews birthday party at the bike track. All 3 of my boys are so excited and can hardly wait for 2PM to get here!
I needed a quick and easy card to create while my youngest nap, so I pulled out my e-cutter, downloaded and cut out the fun Extreme Dirt Bike stamp, added a few splashes of grunge and...
...good enough for an 8 year old, right?!?!?  My twins thought it was cool, so I guess I did alright :-)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Jet Black StazOn
Stamp Sets ~ Lemonade Stand*, Extreme Dirt Bike*, Off the Grid, Gorgeous Grunge, Clockworks
Other Supplies ~ Distressing Tool, Silhouette Cameo e-cutter
*MDS

As much as I want to stay here and play more with my stamps and MDS, I must keep moving and get a few more things done before we head out to the bike track.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Awesome...

That pretty much sums up our weekend!  It was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have a million things going on and we had nothing but FUN all weekend long!  Sure makes Monday's a whole lot more bearable when you aren't totally exhausted from a busy weekend.
What else makes Monday's nice?  Mojo MondayJulee has a fun design for us this week to celebrate the 300th Challenge.  How AWESOME is that?!?!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Pool Party Core-dinations, Etcetera DSP
Ink ~ Old Olive, Pool Party, Night of Navy
Stamp Sets ~ Clockworks, Simply Stars, Yippee-Skippee
Other Supplies ~ Chevron Embossing Folder, Circle Collection Framelits

I love the grungy, distressed look of the Etcetera DSP...seems to be my favorite stamping styles as of late.  Grungy-fun!

Hope you all had an AWESOME weekend and have an AMAZING week too!

Happy Stamping!

Early Birthday Surprise

My twins will be 7 in two weeks...how is that possible!  It seems like just a couple years ago they made their grand entrance into our lives...not 7 years ago!  They are wild, crazy and ALL BOY and I love them so much, even on the days they drive me crazy :)  They are both big fans of music and always want to tag along when I go on my annual girls weekend away to see Dave Matthews.  Sorry, no boys allowed for that concert!  But I did find a great Christmas concert for them to go to this year...the Acoustic Christmas Tour.  They have heard the advertisements for the past few weeks and keep telling me they really wish they could go, so I'm pretty sure they will be super excited when they open their cards this morning.
Things have been crazy busy for me the past few days and I was scrambling to get a couple of cards made for them.  Thanks to a great sketch over at  Try Stampin' On Tuesday, I was able to put some cards together for them last night before I called it a day.  Here's the sketch they had for this week:
And here is my take on the sketch:

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Whisper White, World Spectacular DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade
Stamp Sets ~ Clockworks, Grunge Rock(retired)
Other Supplies ~ Island Indigo Bakers Twine, Basics Glimmer Brads

Of course each of them need their own card...and they have to be the same, but just a little bit different.  As much as I try to do different things for them, it always seems to cause more of a fight.  Hopefully that will pass some day :)

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
Ink ~ Basic Black, Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango
Stamp Sets ~ Clockworks, Grunge Rock(retired)
Other Supplies ~ 3/4" Circle Punch, Basics Glimmer Brads

I sure hope they will be excited to open up these cards this morning and find their very first concert tickets.  I can't wait to spend a fun night with my babies!
Happy Stamping!

It's Your Birthday Dude!

Ok, I'll admit, I have a tough time coming up with ideas for masculine cards.  But I've been trying to come up with more creative ideas for some more masculine cards since I have so many dude's in my family!
Inspiration struck me this morning when I saw the great color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  Add to it the fun challenge at CAS-ual Fridays and my mind went into crafting overload!
Here are the colors I had to work with...
2012 Create Thursday-006
And here is what I came up with...
I love how versatile this set is!  Great for the guys and the ladies!

Supplies Used:

Ink ~ Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Midnight Must

Now I've got the perfect card to give for the next dude birthday in our family!

Change of heart

Ever pass on a certain stamp set because you just don't think you'll ever use it?  I do all the time, but then I see it in action and my mind is quickly changed.  Clockworks is a set I've looked at a few times, but just never really called out to me...until I attended Tacoma Regional!  This stamp set was used for all of the make and takes and I had a total change of heart!  This set is so versatile!  And what a perfect time for me to reach my Stampin' Start goals...2 free stamp sets and a $50 shopping spree!!  Clockworks is now part of my {ever-growing} collection and one of my new faves!
I dove in to some projects early this morning and got totally carried away.  4 cards and a few other projects later, I'm finally sitting down to catch up on some editing and other desk work.  I hit up some of my favorite challenge sites for some inspiration...Hand Stamped Sentiments has a color challenge going on this week and I love the combo.  So rich and full of life!  So, I had my color, but needed a little help in the sketch department.  After looking through a few different sketch ideas, I came across one at Try Stampin' on Tuesday and quickly got to work.
Here's what I had to work with:

And here's what I came up with:

I love the tone on tone stamping with this set!  And with this color combo, this could be a birthday card for anyone.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Very Vanilla
Ink ~ Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso, Island Indigo
Stamp Sets ~ Clockworks, One in a Million

Heading out for a walk with my kiddos before it starts to get dark.  Sad for the shorter days, but I am loving the changing of the seasons and all the beautiful colors!

Happy Stamping!
