Merry Monday ~ Halloween Edition

Happy Halloween stampers!

It's another Merry Monday...the Halloween edition!  I cased one of this months Crafty Carrot Collective Spruced Up tutorial's, turning Jennifer's Christmas card into a Halloween card.
I love the Black & White DSP pack!  All of these patterns were perfect for some Halloween ornaments.  I die cut the ornaments from two different patterns, outlining them with Basic Black.  Adhesive Sheets are you best friend with these dies!  Be sure to add that to your order if you order this adorable bundle!

A little Fresh Freesia was blended in the background, along with a few snowflakes helped to create a not-so-spooky background.  My favorite part of this card are the lights!  I die cut them from a piece of Basic White and colored them with Stampin' Blends. Aren't they the cutest?!?

I snuck in a little Bewitching spider and a Parakeet Party sentiment from September's Paper Pumpkin Kit.   That little spider just makes me happy!

I hope you have a fun and safe Halloween!  Mummy dogs and a little trick-or-treating are on our agenda this evening.

Happy Stamping!

What Would You Do...

Welcome to Friday and the latest TGIF Challenges What Would You Do Challenge.  This month we are seeing what everyone will do without black ink.

If you've been following me for a while, you know that I love any image that I can stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento and color with Stampin' Blends, so this was a bit of a challenge for me.  But when you have a stamp set like Celebrate With Tags that is full of adorable images, it's easy to create something that is full of color!

Anyone else remember the book called The Red Mittens?  Such a sweet little story that inspired these red mittens.  I pulled a couple of my favorite patterns from Sweetest Christmas DSP to add a bit more color and stamped the sentiment in coordinating colors of Garden Green, Pool Party and Sweet Sorbet.

I realized after the fact that I had use the retired Macrame 3D embossing folder to add a little "sweater" feel.  I loved it too much to start over with a different embossing folder.  You'll forgive me, right?!?

Isn't this tag the cutest?  It gets even cuter when you can open it up with a sweet sentiment on the inside!
It was so fun to use nothing but color for today's card...it's so cheerful and happy!  I can't wait to see what everyone else does without black today!

Beautiful Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday stampers!  I'm taking a little break from holiday creations to play along with this weeks  Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #366.

I cut in to one of the beautiful floral patterns of Fitting Florets DSP, cutting out a couple of my favorite bunches of blooms.  Some of these blooms match up with the coordinating Framed Florets dies, but you know me...I LOVE to fussy cut!

I love the Framed Florets stamp set and I love the sentiments the most!  The Wishes for a Beautiful Birthday sentiment paired up perfectly with the flowers.
I was originally going to just go with the Soft Succulent card base and Timeworn Type 3D embossed layer, but it needed just a bit more color.  In addition to the beautiful floral patterns in the Fitting Florets DSP, there are some equally beautiful colored patterns as well.

The polished pink pattern added just the perfect pop of color that I was looking for! A few strands of Frayed Ribbon and some Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls were the only embellishments needed!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

HOHOHO - Merry Monday

It's time for another Merry Monday post!  As promised, I'm back today with some fun alternatives to this months October HOHOHO Paper Pumpkin kit.

First up is a jolly and joyful Santa.  I added a left over frame and flipped this card vertically from the original.  I wasn't originally going to add the Santa, but I'm so happy I did!  To balance the card out, I heat embossed the sentiment on the Shaded Spruce strip, cutting the words out for just the perfect placement.

I flipped the Crumb Cake die-cut snowflakes over, using the white side for this next card.  Using the Layering Circles Dies, I die-cut the starlit sky.  I stuck with the layout of the original from the most part from here, other than adding a Sweet Sorbet bakers twine bow.

And now you can see why I used the white side of the die-cut snowflakes panel on the last card!   I used the Crumb Cake side as a stencil for this card and it is my favorite of them all!  I used the rest of the left over bits and pieces for a simple, yet cheerful layout.  And of course I had to stamp my own Santa to color...you know how much I love my Stampin' Blends!

Have you had a chance to play with this months Paper Pumpkin kit yet? I can't wait to see all of the alternative projects that everyone makes.  This kit is the cutest!

HOHOHO - October 2022 Paper Pumpkin

Happy Sunday stampin' friends!  I hope you have all had a restful and relaxing weekend!  It rained a better part of yesterday, which was the perfect excuse to spend some good ol' quality stamping time!

My October HoHoHo Paper Pumpkin kit arrived earlier in the week and was so happy to have time to open it up and create. This kit is ADORABLE and I used every single piece...it's been a while since I've done that! I started off by making  one of each of these super cute cards according to the kit directions.  Then I stepped each one up a bit. Do you spy the changes?
To step the first card up, I added a few Whisper White splatters to the Crumb Cake die-cut snowflake layer, along with a little Sweet Sorbet bakers twine and a few Rhinestones.  I heat embossed the sentiment to make it pop a bit more...so fun!

Since I had all of my splatters supplies out, I added splatters to this Crumb Cake die-cut snowflake layer too.  I also stamped a few Pool Party snowflakes on the Merry banner and added another Sweet Sorbet bakers twine bow.

Sticking with my splatter step up, I added some Bermuda Bay splatters to the card base, along with a few Rhinestones and some silver Simply Elegant Trim.

I love how just a few added elements can step a card up!  Dig through your stash and have fun stepping your next project up!

Come on back tomorrow to see the cute alternative projects I made with the HOHOHO October 2022 Pamper Pumpkin kit.

Happy Stamping!

Hello Friday Harvest

Happy Friday stampers!  I hope you have all had a fantastic week and have a restful and amazing weekend ahead!

It's supposed to rain a better part of the weekend here, so that gives me a perfect excuse to spend a little extra time in my craft room doing what I love most!

I'm getting a head start this morning with the beautiful Hello Harvest stamp set.  Pool Party pumpkins have been my favorite this season and inspired today's card.  I love the soft Pool Party pumpkin with the warm Cajun Craze sunflowers...so cozy.

A little metallic touch was added with the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and a few bronze Brushed Metallic Dots.  I'm kind of loving the mixed metallic colors!
This sweet pattern of Rustic Harvest DSP was just right for this harvest hello, don't you think?!?

Trick or Treat and Spooky Spells

Welcome to the October edition of Control Freaks!  This month we are celebrating the upcoming holidays.  There are so many holidays packed into the last few months of the year, so the creative possibilities are endless!  Hop along and see all of the fun holiday creations!

Did you just arrive from Cindy Elam of Hearts Delight Cards or are you just starting?   Either way, just keep hopping until you make the full loop!

I switched back to some Halloween cards for todays hop.  I paired up Best Witches with the stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin Spooky Treats for some spooktactular creations!

I decided on a colorful witch for the first card, giving her a Parakeet Party dress and Rich Razzleberry cape and hat. I think the only spell she could put on someone is a spell of sweetness!

This next little witch is a bit more traditional with her black hat and cape.  I love her "golden" Daffodil Delight dress...she's a happy, sunshiny witch!
As you can see, I used the same layout and patterns of Celebrate Everything DSP for both cards.  I made a few sets of each card for a special order, so this was a quick way to get them all done!

Next up is my friend Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations.  You don't want to miss her Happy Holidays creation!

Soft Seedlings Gratefulness

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another beautiful Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.  Our fall weather is finally starting to arrive...the mornings are crisp and cool, followed by warm and sunny afternoons.  I'm soaking up as much of the sunshine and beautiful fall colors as I can before the gloomy winter weather shows up.

Boss's Day was this past Sunday and this inspiration challenge was perfect for a fall-friendly card for the best boss ever!  I started out by stamping the large leaf from Soft Seedlings in Crumb Cake on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, then decided I wanted a bit more color.  Inspired by so many projects I've seen with torn paper lately, I ripped the piece of Very Vanilla in half diagnonally and matched it up with another torn piece of Rustic Harvest DSP.  Tearing paper is such an easy way to add some texture to any project!

I inked up the leaf image in shades of Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry, brushing a little Early Espresso around the edges.  Each leaf was fussy cut and layered in a true fallen leaf pattern.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Early Espresso and fussy cut...my favorite thing to do!  Some bits of gold were added with a few threads of gold Simply Elegant Trim and some Seasonal Sequins.

I hope you'll join along and share your wonder-FALL creations with us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Happy Stamping!

Together is the Merriest Place to Be

It's not very often you get two posts from me in the same day, but today I have an extra special post as a Guest Designer for Global Design Project Color Challenge!  It's such an honor to be a guest amongst all of their talented designers!
In keeping with my Merry Monday Christmas cards, these colors seem perfect to use with the Merriest Moments stamp set.  I am always drawn towards the Petal Pink Poinsettia's during the holidays and stamped one of my own for this card.

A few Soft Succulent holly leaves and some cute little Sweet Sorbet holly berries were tucked in behind the poinsettia. When you add these stamped images to the beautiful Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies, there isn't much else that you need!
After cutting out the beautiful frame from a piece of Soft Succulent, I added some shimmer with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  Don't you just love this?!?  An additional layer of Whisper White was added behind, also embossed with the Merriest Frames.  These all layered on top of a Petal Pink design of Design a Daydream DSP.   And I can't forget the Sweet Sorbet Sentiment!

Thanks again to the amazing design team at Global Design Project for inviting me today!  I can't wait to see all of the beautiful projects made with this weeks color challenge.

From Our Home To Yours ~ Merry Monday Montage

Hello stampers and happy Monday! We've got a great hop in store for you today, so make sure you don't miss out on a single stop along the way!

I'm on to my next Merry Monday card of the season, this time pairing up Ringed With Nature and the soon-to-be-available Framed & Festive Stamp sets.

I absolutely LOVE the fonts in the Framed & Festive stamp set and thought this particular "From our home to yours" sentiment would be perfect with the cute little house from Ringed With Nature.
After choosing a piece of Soft Succulent Fitting Florets DSP, I decided to go with a Soft Succulent house with a Soft Suede roof.  And since I was going for a Christmas card, I added a bright Real Red flower, along with a few Evening Evergreen, Parakeet Party and Crumb Cake twigs and sprigs...all fussy cut, of course!

All of these images were layered on top of a tree ring and topped with, you guessed it, a fussy cut sentiment.  A little Linen Thread, a few 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds and a little Evening Evergreen splatter completed the card.

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Fitting Florets Christmas

Hello stampers and hello Friday! We've made it through another week and that means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge.

Demonstrators were able to pre-order a new, soon-to-be-released, bundle called Fitting Florets.  This beautiful bundle arrive on my doorstep just in time for today's sketch!

I wasn't sure which direction I was headed with this bundle at first, but as soon as I saw this beautiful Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen pattern of DSP, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!  But first, I had to add just a bit of color!
Using the Framed Florets dies, I cut a few different leafs in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. These were layered behind the Textural Elements, which I added some color to with my Sweet Sorbet and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends.

All of the greenery and holly berries were tucked behind the sentiment, stamped in Sweet Sorbet and die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.  Do you spy the little bits of gold too?  I pulled some individual threads from the gold Simply Elegant trim and added a few of the new Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.

This beautiful new collection is one you are going to want to add to your collection...trust me!  Customers will be able to order on November 1st.  But you can get it sooner if you sign up to be a demonstrator today! Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!

I hope you'll join in the fun and play along with our sketch challenge this month!

Happy Stamping!

Merry Monday Spruced Up Christmas

It may be 80 degrees in the middle of October, but I'm beginning to think about Christmas!  I even told my boys to start working on their lists...maybe for once I'll get a head start on things.  Maybe...

One thing I do know is that I'll have a head start on my Christmas cards!

I had some fun with the super cute Spruced Up bundle for this card.  I inked up the larger tree in Shaded Spruce and the smaller tree in Granny Apple Green, cutting them out with the coordinating dies.   Want to know what is so awesome about these dies?!?  In addition to cutting out the image, you also get a fun die-cut outline of the image!  I used the outline of the larger tree to "spruce" things up a bit more.
In addition to the trees, a tiny little Polished Pink present was tucked in with the trees, along with a Polished Pink star on top. A few Sweet Sorbet Season Sequins added just the right amount of bling.

In true Craft-somnia Momma fashion, the sentiment was heat embossed on Pool Party, which went along nicely with the stamped Pool Party Stitched Rectangle.  A Whimsical Woodland 3D card front was the perfect choice for a little touch of texture.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Plentiful Birthday Wishes

Hello stampin' friends!  I'm up and at 'em early this morning, getting in some creative therapy before I tackle another work day.  One of my co-workers has a birthday coming up next week and I needed a special card just for her!
Inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, I pulled out Plentiful Plants...one of my all time favorite stamp sets!

I stamped a variety of plants in shades of Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive, blending the ink with a Blender Pen to create a softer look.  I stamped the pot in Calypso Coral for a little added pop of color.

I added one more shade of green with a Mint Macaron pattern of Design a Daydream DSP.  A Kraft hexagon was added to go along with the sketch, along with an Artistically Inked Happy Birthday sentiment...heat embossed, of course!

As I was assembling the card, it felt like there was too much white, so I added a few Crumb Cake splatters with the Stampin' Write Marker.  An extra layer of Basic White embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder added just the right amount of texture.

There is something about a simple design of a card that I just love and creating this card this morning gave me a good reset to start my day...creative therapy at its best!

Thanks a Ton

Hello and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.  These are such fun colors with so many creative possibilities!

I pulled out an old favorite, Whale Done.  These colors are meant for sea creatures and plants!

I started out by stamping the whale in Starry Sky, punching him out with the coordinating Whale Punch.  Not sure what direction I was headed with this card, I stamped some of the seaweed and coral, fussy cutting each piece. Once I had these pieces all cut out, I decided to cut a few Stylish Shapes circles from Shimmery White card stock, adding some Pool Party to each one with the Water Painters.

Next up was adding some more sea life to each circle, including some pumpkin pie fish and seahorse, as well as a Starry Sky jelly fish.  From there I arranged all of the pieces in a collage style layout.

The Painted Texture 3D embossing folder reminded me of ocean waves, which seem just right for this card!  A heat embossed sentiment and a few Seasonal Sequins were the perfect final touches.

I hope you'll join along in this fun color challenge!  I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Boo-tiful Cottage Wreaths

Happy Sunday stampers! Did you have a World Card Making day full of creativity yesterday?  I sure did and the creativity is carrying over to today as I play along with the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

I still had Country Wreaths out on my desk after using it during the World Card Making Day Creative Event, so I decided to keep on creating with it. I switched gears and went with a fun Halloween card today.

I created a Boo-tiful Halloween wreath by stamping the twig wreath in Memento Tuxedo Black along with a few Pumpkin Pie leafy sprigs.  Some Basic Black and Silver Foil die-cut leaves were added, as well as a Basic Black bow.  I needed a bit more, so I tucked in a little Metallic Mesh Ribbon. I forgot how much I love this ribbon!

I stamped the sweet little Boo sentiment in Memento on a piece of Pumpkin pie and cut it out with the cute tag from the Happy Forest Dies.  A bit more Metallic Mesh Ribbon was tied on with some Basic Black bakers twine.  A few Rhinestone's and a spooky spider were added as a final touch.

The diagonal black and white stripes from the Rustic Harvest DSP was the perfect background for a grown up Halloween card.  This is my favorite pattern of the pack!

Wishing you all a happy Sunday and hopefully a little stamping time.

Happy Stamping!
